Production of honey conventionally by community do generate constraint at marketing to global market and industry. Model local technological packet is hoped improve the value sell honey commodity to go in global market and industry. Activity of production organic honey use local technological packet is hoped able to face Free Trade Agreement (FTA) for local farmer. local Technological packet at activity produce honey commodity, is expected be able to develop and strengthen production quality commodity. The objective of this research was to analyse the local technological packet at activity produce organic honey commodity to industrial and the global market in the form of technological model of management produce honey. The research method use Knowledge Base Creation constructively computer program of Agroekological Knowledge Toolkit 5 (AKT5). Result of research indicate that application local technological packet at activity produce organic honey had to watched five activity, namely: (a) system agroforestry as source of nectar and pollen; (b) to improve the stock honeybee; (c) select, breeder, making bee hive honey; (d) give meal artificial (e) time and technique of cropping, till the product was sold. The result of reseach showed that the responder group applying activity produce honey organic at species Apis cerana yield 2,5 kg each stup, rate moisture content 20°/o, not turbid, and cleared at yielded honey. Result Interpretation was showed fulfill ideal technology management target.

Abstract

The community perception in urban coastal areas towards the mangrove ecosystem is an important factor in planning its sustainability strategy. This study aims to explain people's perceptions of mangrove forests in Kota Karang district, City of Bandar Lampung. Data collection was carried out by interview using questionnaires and observations. The collected data were analyze using the Likert scale, then it was described quantitatively. The results showed that 50% of people's perceptions of mangroves was medium (neutral) category. This condition occurred because people tend to hesitate in determining their responds towards mangrove forests. The factors that influence community perceptions were lack of knowledge of mangrove, educational levels, awareness and time availability of the community, and also the lack of information about mangrove forests due to the inadequate role of the government in providing the education (counseling) of mangrove. The government is expected to provide education and make policies to increase public awareness towards the importance of preserving mangrove forests.

Abstract

Community forests provide benefits to their functions and roles in meeting community needs and environmental sustainability based on economic, social, and ecological perspectives. Social indicators play this role in the sustainability of community forest health. This study aims to obtain a weighted value (quality assurance) of social indicators in assessing the health of community forests. The stages of research carried out included, among others, conducting interviews with questionnaire instruments with respondents, determining the priority scale with the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, and determining eigenvalues with the Analytic Networking Process (ANP) method. Based on the results of the study, four social indicators can describe the health condition of community forests: education indicators, employment indicators, participation indicators, and institutional indicators. These indicators have the same level of importance, where the eigenvalues obtained do not have significant differences. It means that community forest farmers have realized that social indicators can support environmental sustainability in aspects of forest health. Thus, the weighted values obtained by social indicators from the highest to the lowest are indicator participation (0.29), education indicator (0.27), institutional indicator (0.23), and employment indicator (0.21). The formation of farmer groups needs to be done to improve local institutions. Therefore, they can support community forest management regulations

Abstract

Community participation in Purworejo mangrove forest management activities is very important to support forest sustainability. Until now, community participation in mangrove forest management is still not optimal. This study aims to obtain the level of community assessment in the stages of managing mangrove forests in Purworejo Village. The method used was interviewing 31 respondents and data analysis using a Likert Scale. Research data shows that the level of community participation at the planning stage is in the low category with a proportion of 51.6%. The implementation stage is in the high category with a proportion of 41.9%. Stages of utilization are in the medium category with a proportion of 45.2%. Maintenance stages are in the low category with a proportion of 58.1%. Thus, the level of community participation in managing mangrove forests in Purworejo Village is in the low category with a proportion of 77%. So that community participation must be increased to support sustainable forest management

Abstract

Temuan kritis berupa kematian mangrove Avicennia sp. akibat genangan permanen mengindikasikan tekanan global seperti kenaikan muka air laut memperparah dampak lokal.
