Abstract

Hutan rakyat menjadi sistem manajeman dan startegi penggunaan lahan terpadu melalui penerapan pola agroforestri.  Penerapan pola agroforestri memberikan keuntungan lebih baik dari segi aspek ekonomi, sosial, dan ekologi.  Tujuan penerapan agroforestri untuk membantu mengoptimalkan perolehan hasil pengelolaan lahan hutan rakyat secara berkelanjutan serta meningkatkan daya dukung ekologi lahan.  Pentingnya peranan hutan rakyat pola agroforestri kelestariannya perlu dijaga.  Cara memelihara kelestarian hutan rakyat yaitu melalui kondisi kesehatan hutannya.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilai kesehatan hutan rakyat pola agroforestri Desa Kubu Batu sebagai penunjang keberlanjutannya.  Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode Forest Healt Monitoring (FHM).  Hasil nilai akhir kesehatan hutan menunjukan bahwa dari 7 klaster plot pengamatan klaster plot 1(8.17) kategori sedang, Klaster Plot 2(6.87) kategori sedang, Klater plot 3 (4.41) kategori buruk, klaster plot 4 (10.67) kategori baik, klaster plot 5(8.26) kategori sedang, klaster plot 6 (7.56) kategori sedang, dan klaster plot 7 (5.48) kategori buruk.

Abstract

Penilaian indikator keanekaragaman hayati diperlukan karena sensitif terhadap perubahan, indikator sistem ekologi, heterogenitas spasial, temporal, dan trofik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman jenis pohon di ERU Margahay TNWK sebagai salah satu indikator penilaian kesehatan hutan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Forest Health Monitoring (FHM). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai akhir status kesehatan hutan dengan indikator keanekaragaman hayati (keanekaragaman jenis pohon) di ERU Margahayu TNWK berada pada kategori baik sebesar 20% pada klaster plot 2; sedang sebesar 60% pada klaster plot 3, 4, dan 5; dan buruk sebesar 20% pada klaster plot 1; sehingga menunjukkan bahwa hutan di ERU Margahayu TNWK memiliki kondisi cukup sehat (stabil) dengan kategori sedang.

Abstract

Kawasan Taman Nasional Bukit Barisan Selatan (TNBBS) memiliki ekosistem lengkap mulai dari ekosistem pantai, hutan hujan dataran rendah sampai hutan hujan pegunungan serta potensi sumber daya alam hayati dan non hayati yang cukup tinggi.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui nilai indikator – indikator kesehatan hutan di Resort Biha, Ngambur, dan Pemerihan di TNBBS dan menganalisis status kesehatan hutan di Resort Biha, Ngambur, dan Pemerihan di TNBBS.  Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menilai kesehatan hutan dengan metode Forest Health Monitoring (FHM).  Hasil penelitian menujukkan bahwa nilai kemerataan di Resort Biha, Ngambur dan Pemerihan tergolong tinggi dengan besaran menujukkan nilai E’>0,6.  Perhitungan simpanan karbon diperoleh bahwa rata-rata simpanan karbon di Resort Biha sebesar 314,68 ton c/ha.  Penilaian kesehatan hutan pada lokasi penelitian menunjukkan biodiversitas mempunyai nilai 0,484 (48,4%), simpanan karbon mempunyai nilai 0,177 (17,7%), kualitas tapak mempunyai nilai 0,140 (14,0%), vitalitas mempunyai nilai  0,108 (10,8%), dan produktivitas mempunyai nilai 0,093 (9,30%).Keyword: Forest Health Monitoring (FHM); keanekaragaman; kesehatan hutan

Abstract

Trees are an important part of the compilation of forest ecosystems blocks of collections of plants and/or animals, Wan Abdul Rachman Forest Park, Lampung Province. Block collection of plants and or animals serves as a place for collecting, protecting and preserving biodiversity. The problems that occur in this block are changes in forest areas, initially primary forests become mixed forests due to land clearing. Land clearing causes various types of tree damage which causes a decrease in tree health and forest health, so it is necessary to identify tree damage conditions. The purpose of the study was to determine the condition of tree damage based on the location of tree damage, type of tree damage and severity. Identification is carried out using the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method, the measurement parameter is the condition of tree damage. The study was conducted in June 2018 in a collection block of plants and / or animals Tahura WAR Kelurahan Sumber Agung, Kemiling, Bandar Lampung covering 141.18 ha. The sampling intensity used was 2.30%, data collection was carried out in eight FHM cluster clusters. Based on the results of the study there were 144 individual trees that were damaged. The location of damage occurs mostly in the roots and the lower part of the stem is 29%, the lower stem is 18% and the branches are 15%. There were 11 types of damage observed with the largest type of damage, namely open wounds by 46%, broken or dead branches by 17%, cancer by 9% and leaves, shoots or shoots damaged by 9%. The most severe severity is found in the severity of 20% with a percentage of 39%, severity of 30% with a percentage of 35% and severity of 40% with a percentage of 7%.

Abstract

Mangrove forests have a special function, namely as a green belt which is certainly very important for human life. Health of forests, especially mangrove forests, is often overlooked regarding their health conditions. The health condition of the mangrove forest is very influential on its sustainability, so to know its health, one of the indicators that can be used is fauna biodiversity. Fauna biodiversity can be known by using the FHM (Forest Health Monitoring) method to determine the diversity and condition of health status. Mangrove forest in Pasir Sakti Sub-District, East Lampung Regency has a diversity of 9 species of birds and 5 types of epifauna diversity. Based on this, the Mangrove Forest of Pasir Sakti District, East Lampung Regency has a good forest health status.

Abstract

Awareness of the importance of community forest health in various cropping patterns in Buana Sakti Village, Batang Hari District, East Lampung Regency is currently lacking, so better forest management is needed. Community forest has a function as a forest that can support community income. This study aims to obtain the value of community forest health indicators on monoculture, polyculture, and agroforestry cropping patterns. This research was conducted in a community forest in Buana Sakti Village, Batang Hari District, East Lampung Regency. This study uses the FHM (Forest Health Monitoring) method. The results showed that the indicators of community forest health used in monoculture planting patterns were productivity, vitality, location quality. In the polyculture planting patterns, namely productivity, vitality, site quality and biodiversity. Indicators used in agroforestry cropping patterns are productivity, vitality, site quality, and biodiversity.

Abstract

Conservation forests have a function that is as a preservation of diversity of plants and animals and their ecosystems. The function of the forest should make the conservation forest must be preserved and the health condition of the forest. The health condition of a conservation forest has a great influence on the surrounding ecosystem. Thus to determine the health condition of the forest, one indicator that can be used is the vitality of the tree. Tree vitality is one indicator that can reflect forest health using tree damage parameters and canopy conditions. This study aims to determine the value of the vitality status of conservation forests that are the KTH SHK Lestari land management area to facilitate management decision making in forest management. The results showed from the making of six Forest Health Monitoring clusters in conservation forests classified as good, moderate and bad, obtained the vitality of the conservation forest for tree damage parameters in the good category (2 clusters), moderate (1 cluster) and bad (3 clusters) whereas for the parameters of the overall canopy conditions the clusters are in the good category (6 clusters). Thus the vitality assessment that has been carried out in the conservation forest of Teluk Pandan District, Pesawaran Regency can be used as one indicator in the health of conservation forests. Abstract

he mangrove forest in Margasari Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency is a mangrove forest ecosystem that holds a lot of potential, both physically, economically and ecologically. Therefore, the condition of the mangrove forest ecosystem must remain sustainable. Regular forest health monitoring can support the achievement of sustainable forest management, thereby ensuring the quality and quantity of forests. This study aims to determine the status and health changes of mangrove forests in Margasari Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency. The first measurement was carried out in March 2019 and the second in March 2020 which is located in the mangrove forest of Margasari Village, Labuhan Maringgai District, East Lampung Regency. The stages of this research were the determination of cluster plots, making cluster plots, measuring forest health, processing and analyzing data, and assessing the health of mangrove forests, using the Forest Health Monitoring (FHM) method. The first measurement results obtained 50% "good" and "bad" status, while the second measurement results obtained 25% "medium" and "good" status and 50% "bad" status. Thus, there was a change in the value of the health condition of the mangrove forest in Margasari Village which tended to be quite unfavorable.

Abstract

Forests can provide many benefits both from an ecological, economic, and social perspective. These benefits can be achieved through sustainable forest management. Forest health is one of the criteria for sustainable forest management. Forest health can be assessed through monitoring forest health. One of the ecological indicators that can be used to monitor forest health is an indicator of vitality. This study aims to determine the value of status and changes in vitality indicators by using tree damage parameters and crown conditions. Status values ​​and changes in vitality indicators are needed in order to make different forest management decisions. This research was conducted in Tahura Wan Abdul Rachman (Tahura WAR) Plant and Animal Collection Block using Forest Health Monitoring (FHM). This research was conducted twice, the first measurement was carried out in May 2019, and the second measurement was carried out in December 2020. The results showed that the value of changes in the vitality indicator tends to increase. The first measurement of the status of the vitality indicator 50% is in the "medium" category, 25% is in the "good" category, and 25% is in the "bad" category. The status of the vitality indicator in the second measurement is 50% in the "good" category and 50% in the "bad" category. This change can be caused by an increase in tree damage in each cluster plot. The management decision for the Tahura WAR Plant and Animal Collection Block is that it is necessary to change the management pattern.

Abstract

Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis) is a tree species developed in community forests because it has dual benefits in the form of wood and sap. Therefore, the condition of damage to rubber trees needs to be known as a support effort to produce high sap production and the health of smallholder rubber plants. This study aimed to determine the index value of rubber tree damage in the community forest of Ujung Gunung Village, Menggala District, Tulang Bawang Regency. Data collection is done by calculating the tree damage index value through the damage location parameters (X), type of damage (Y), and the severity of tree damage (Z) using a circular plot with a radius of 17.95 cm following the annular plot in the FHM cluster plot design. The results showed that from 111 samples of observations, the index value of tree damage was in the range of 1.2 – 5.5. The damage index includes damage to the rootstock, upper and lower stems, branches, and leaves with cancer damage type, damaged leaves, and dead branches. The location of the dominant damage occurred in leaves with the type of leaf damage, shoots, or shoots damaged with damage index values ranging from 1.2 - 1.9. However, the most significant damage index value occurred in tree damage with the location of the damage on the trunk, type of cancer damage with a severity level of 57%. Thus, the location of the trunk with the type of cancer damage significantly affects the tree's damage with the highest damage index value of 5.5, which can stop the tree from producing latex until death. Control measures can be taken by cleaning the remaining latex and applying fungicides to the stems. In addition, tapping that is organized and does not exploit can prevent damage to the stems.
