Abstract

Pada penelitian ini telah dilakukan sintesis senyawa yang larut dalam air 5,11,17,23-tetra(dimetilamino)metil-4,6,10,12,16,18,22,24-oktahidroksi-2,8,14,20-tetrametilkaliks[4] arena (TDMACMKR) untuk diaplikasikan sebagai inhibitor kerak pada material anorganik.  Sintesis senyawa ini dilakukan melalui dua tahapan.  Tahap pertama merupakan reaksi antara resorsinol dan asetaldehid untuk mendapatkan senyawa C-metil kaliks[4]resorsinarena atau CMKR yang digunakan sebagai bahan dasar reaksi tahap ke dua untuk mendapatkan senyawa TDMACMKR.  Hasil sintesis dianalisis dengan IR dan 1HNMR untuk dibandingkan dengan hasil penelitian terdahulu.   Katakunci: Kaliksarena, Sintesis, Inhibitor, Kerak

Abstract

Waste management based on community participation that aims to implement the 4Rp concept (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Participation) has been implemented through the Regional Partnership Program (PKW) of Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, by the PKW Team from the University of Lampung, in collaboration with Polinela and Government of Way Kanan District through the Environmental Services. This program was performed to manage the agricultural waste independently by the communities to reduce the amount of midden that must be managed at the landfill and it can provide an economic added value. These activities have been carried out in two villages, namely Way Tuba Village – Sub-district of Gunung Labuhan and Campur Asri Village, Sub-district of Baradatu, which have potency of the agricultural waste in Way Kanan District. In general, the results of these activities have increased community participation and knowledge of the paradigm of waste and waste management with the concept of the 4 Rp, procurement of fertilizers/compost independently, as well as being a pioneer of waste management based on active participation from the community. In addition, this program has provided solutions to the community to produce fertilizers/compost independently, either to be used for their own needs or sold to meet fertilizer/compost needs in the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This research has been conducted on process of production activated carbon from coconut shells, which are activated both physics and chemistry to improve the adsorption of methylene blue. The process of physical activation was done by burning the coconut shell using a furnace at a temperature of 700°C. The chemical activation was done using H3PO4 activator. The result of activated carbon physical activation (CAP) has a greater absorbency than activated carbon chemical activation (CAC) with each of the absorption of methylene blue at 99.42 and 98.64%. Analysis of surface morphology on the adsorbent was performed using a Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM). SEM results indicated that (CAP) has a surface morphology that is relatively similar to commercial activated carbon (CACm). Adsorption test was conducted on the determination of the optimum pH, adsorption rate, and isotherm adsorption of methylene blue. The results of the optimum pH on CAC, CAP, and CACm respectively obtained at pH 8 and the optimum contact time is obtained respectively at 40, 60, and 80 minutes. Adsorption kinetics data of methylene blue on CACm, CAP, and CAC tend to follow the pseudo second order kinetics with a correlation coefficient (R2) is 0.937; 0.950; and 0.999, respectively. Adsorption isotherm of methylene blue on CACm, CAP, and CAC tend to follow the model of Freundlich isotherms.

Abstract

Scale formation is a serious problem encountered in many industries including oil or gas production, watertransport, power generation and batch precipitation. Several additives used have been known to inhibit scaleformation. This method is used because it is cheaper and effective in inhibiting scale formation. At this research,it was invesigated the effect of additional additive from carboxyl groups like citric acid, oxalate acid, and benzoicacid as inhibitor of kalsium sulfate (CaSO4) scale formation using conductivity method at temperature of 400C. Theresult showes that additives used are able to inhibit kalsium sulfate (CaSO4) scale formation under this condition.

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan prosedur modelisasi velg mobil dengan bentuk dasar lingkaran yang bercirikan kesimetrian dan terkomposisi dari bangun geometri datar segilima dan segitiga sehingga model velg lebih bervariasi dan simetris. Metode penelitian ini meliputi modelisasi velg mobil dengan data awal lingkaran. Hasil penelitian ini didapatkan prosedur memodelisasi velg mobil pola segitiga dan pola campuran sebagai berikut. Pertama, membagi bentuk dasar lingkaran menjadi enam bagian. Kedua, mengisi bagian-bagian tersebut dengan bangun geometri datar segitiga dan segilima. Ketiga, menyusun program komputer hasil analisis menggunakan software Maple 12. Kata Kunci: Velg Mobil, Lingkaran, Segitiga, Segilima

Abstract

Dalam rangka mengimplementasikan kegiatan pengelolaan dan pengolahan sampah berbasis partisipasi masyarakat, Universitas Lampung, Pemkab Way Kanan, dan perguruan tinggi mitra yaitu Politeknik Negeri Lampung membentuk pilot project pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat. Pengelolaan sampah berbasis masyarakat bertujuan untuk menerapkan konsep 4Rp (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Replace, Participation) melalui Program Kemitraaan Wilayah (PKW) Kemeristekdikti, sehingga sampah/limbah pertanian dapat dikelola secara mandiri oleh masyarakat di tingkat sumbernya langsung, dan dapat mengurangi jumlah timbulan sampah yang harus dikelola di TPS atau TPA, serta dapat memberikan nilai tambah secara ekonomi. Kegiatan ini telah dilaksanakan di desa yang memiliki potensi sampah/limbah perkebunan dan pertanian di Desa Way-Tuba kecamatan Gunung Labuhan Kabupaten Way Kanan. Secara umum, hasil kegiatan tersebut telah meningkatkan partisipasi dan pengetahuan masyarakat terhadap paradigma tentang sampah dan pengelolaan sampah dengan konsep 4Rp, pengadaan pupuk/kompos secara mandiri, serta menjadi pelopor pengelolaan sampah berbasis partisipasi aktif dari masyarakat dengan persentase rata-rata peningkatan dari 38,6 menjadi 86%.

Abstract

Adsorption process on Cd2+ionic  imprinted mercapto-silica hybrid material  (Cd(II)-IIP HMS) has been carried out with studying an adsorption competition between ion H+ and Cd2+ ion upon active sites of Cd(II)-IIP HMS material.  Characterization of surface material was based on specific surface area, total volume, and porous diameter.  Cd(II)-IIP HMS material with template ionic concentration of each 0.107; 0.214; 0.429; 0.658 mmol g-1 shows  that adsorption model  is relatively similar, the higher of H+ ion competed,  the  lower of adsorption capacity of Cd(II)-IIP HMS material upon Cd2+ ion.  Keywords: adsorption, active site, mercapto-silica hybrid, ionic imprinted

Abstract

Chemical stability of Cd(II) and Cu(II) ionic imprinted amino-silica (HAS) material of (i-Cd-HAS and i-Cu-HAS) derived from silica modification with active compound (3-aminopropyl)-trimethoxysilane (3-APTMS) has been studied in solution media.  Stability test was performed with HNO3 0.1 M (pH 1.35) to investigate material stability at low pH condition, acetat buffer at pH 5.22 for adsorption process optimum pH condition, and in the water (pH 9.34) for base condition.  Material characteristics were carried out with infrared spectrophotometer (IR) and atomic absorption spectrophotometer (AAS).  At interaction time of 4 days in acid and neutral condition, i-Cd-HAS is more stable than i-Cu-HAS with % Si left in material 95.89 % (acid media), 43.82 % (close to neutral), and 9.39 % (base media).Keywords: chemical stability, amino-silica hybrid, ionic imprinting technique.

Abstract

Karakteristik pengikatan ion Cd(II) dan Cu(II) pada polimer imprinted ionik (PII) dari hibrida amino-silika (HAS) yang disintesis menggunakan senyawa 3- aminopropiltrimetoksisilan (3-APTMS) dengan tetraetil ortosilkat (TEOS) sebagai prekursor telah dipelajari. Kontribusi pengikatan ion Cd(II) dan Cu(II) pada sintesis material HAS imprinted ionik Cd(II) dan Cu(II) didominasi oleh interaksi kimia melalui interaksi elekstrotatik sebesar 43,06 ± 0,42 % untuk Cd-HAS dan 40,96 ± 0,21% untuk Cu-HAS, sedangkan pembentukan ikatan kovalen sebesar 50,91 ± 0,25 % untuk Cd-HAS dan 54,87 ± 0,20 % untuk Cu- HAS. Abstract

Pada penelitian ini dilakukan sintesis zeolit mordenit (MOR) pori hirarki berbahan dasar silika abu ampas tebu (Sugarcane Bagasse Ash/SCBA) menggunakan metode Solid-State Crystallization (SSC). Penelitian ini diawali dengan ekstraksi silika dari SCBA menggunakan pelarut alkali (NaOH) dan silika hasil ekstraksi digunakan sebagai sumber silika sekaligus sumber alumina untuk mensintesis zeolit MOR pori hirarki. Sebagai pembanding, zeolit MOR pori hirarki juga disintesis menggunakan silika komersial. Sintesis zeolit MOR pori hirarki dilakukan pada suhu 170 oC selama 120 jam. Difraksi sinar-X menginformasikan bahwa silika yang diekstraksi dari SCBA memiliki fasa amorf dan analisis FTIR menunjukkan adanya gugus silanol dan siloksan dengan kandungan silika dan alumina sebesar 85,55 dan 12,16 % berdasarkan analisis XRF. Hasil analisis XRD menunjukkan bahwa zeolit MOR pori hirarki yang disintesis menggunakan silika SCBA maupun silika komersial (LUDOX) memiliki fasa kristalin dengan puncak-puncak yang karakteristik untuk zeolit MOR dengan ukuran pori sebesar 4,84 nm.http://dx.doi.org/10.23960/aec.v5.i2.2020.p178-191
