Abstract

AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  bagaimana teknik Peer Editing dapat meningkatkan penulisan mahasiswa untuk mahasiswa semester dua program studi pendidikan Agama Islam di IAIN Pontianak pada tahun akademik 2016/2017. Penelitian tindakan kelas ini dilakukan dalam dua siklus. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahapan;  perencanaan, tindakan, mengamati, dan evaluasi.  Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa kelas A yang terdiri dari 34mahasiswa dengan perincian 10 mahasiswa pria dan 24 mahasiswa wanita. Penelitian ini menggunakan observasi dan pengukuran sebagai teknik pengumpulan data. Dalam mengumpulkan data, penulis menggunakan data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data kualitatif diambil dari daftar observasi, catatan lapangan, dan perekam sementara data kuantitatif diambil dari tes menulis mahasiswa. Kemudian, dalam menganalisis data, penulis menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif untuk data kualitatif dan statistik deskriptif dengan data kuantitatif.Berdasarkan hasil checklist observasi, catatan lapangan, dan perekam, mahasiswa merasa termotivasi untuk menulis. Mereka juga aktif dan antusias selama proses pembelajaran dipandu oleh peneliti. Kemudian, hasil nilai individu mahasiswa pada tulisan mereka juga meningkat di siklus kedua. Dalam dua siklus itu, tidak ada siswa yang masuk kategori sangat buruk. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan teknik Peer Editing berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa. Melalui teknik Peer Editing, para mahasiswa dapat menghasilkan dan mengatur ide-ide mereka dan menghasilkan teks  juga. Salah satu saran yang baik bagi dosen untuk menerapkan teknik Peer Editing sebagai cara alternatif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan menulis mahasiswa.Kata kunci: menulis, teknik Peer Editing, IAIN PontianakAbstractThis research aimed to investigate how Peer Editing technique can improve students’ writing to the second semester students of Islamic education study program of IAIN Pontianak  in the academic year of  2016/2017. This classroom action research was done in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of four actions; they were planning, acting, observing and reflecting.  Then, the subject of research was the students of class A consisting of 34 students with detail of 10 male students and 24 female students. This research used observation and measurement as the technique of collecting data. In collected the data, the writer used qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were taken from observation checklist, field note, and recorder while quantitative data were taken from the students’ writing test. Then, in analyzed the data, the writer used descriptive qualitative analysis to the qualitative data and statistic descriptive to the quantitative data.Based on the result of observation checklist, field note, and recorder, the students were feel motivated to write the text. They also were active and enthusiastic during the learning process guided by the researcher. Then, the result of the students’ individual score on their writing had improved too in the second cycle. In the two cycles, there were no students categorized into very poor level. The results of this research showed that the implementation of the Peer Editing technique was successful to improve the students’ writing skill. Through Peer Editing technique, the students were able to generate and organized their ideas and produce a text as well. It is better for the lecturer implemented the Peer Editing technique as the alternative ways to improve students writing skill.Keyword: Writing skill, Peer Editng technique, IAIN Pontianak

Abstract

ABSTRACT Tujuan tulisan ini untuk mengetahui efektifitas strategi Personal Vocabulary Notes(P.V.N) dalam mengajar kosakata pada siswa kelas empat MIS swasta di Pontianak. Penelitian ini menggunakan Pra eksperimental. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian yang tidak memiliki kelompok kontrol. Peneliti menggunakan satu kelompok desain Pretest-Posttest. Peneliti menggunakan teknik pengukuran untuk mengumpulkan data. Data akan dianalisis menggunakan analisis statistik deskriptif. Sampelnya adalah siswa kelas IV C yang terdiri dari 33 siswa menggunakan cluster random sampling. Perbedaan antara pre-test dan post-test dianggap signifikan. Skor rata-rata pre-test adalah 55,76 sedangkan skor rata-rata post-test adalah 74,39. Ini menunjukkan bahwa kesenjangan antara nilai rata-rata pre-test dan post-test adalah 18,63 poin. Berdasarkan perhitungan uji normalitas data berdistribusi tidak normal, sehingga peneliti menggunakan uji Wilcoxon signed-rand sebagai tes alternatif untuk mengetahui hasil data. Artinya ada efektif setelah menggunakan teknik PVN kepada siswa di mengajar kosakata. Kata kunci: Catatan Kosakata Pribadi, Pengajaran kosakata ABSTRACT The aim of the study was to find out the effectiveness of Personal VocabularyNotes(PVN) strategy in teaching vocabulary at the fourth grade students. This research was a Pre experimental research.. The sample of this research was IV C class consisting 33 students taken by using cluster random sampling. The different between pre-test and post-test was considered significant. The pre-test mean score was 55,76 while the post-test mean score was 74,39. It indicates that the gap between pre-test and post-test mean score was 18,63 points. Based on the computation of the normalty test the data is in non normal distribution, so the researcher use Wilcoxon signed-rand test as an alternative test to know the result of the data It means that there was effective after using PVN technique to the students in teaching vocabulary. Abstract

The research was conducted in order to know how Direct Reading Thinking Activity improve students’ reading comprehension This research was done by using the Classroom Action Research method to solve the problems faced by the students. This research was conducted at the second-semester students of Islamic Education Study Program in IAIN Pontianak. The researcher used purposive sampling as the sampling technique by choosing class D consisting of 24 students as the sample of the research.After the result of the test had been calculated and analyzed by the researcher, the result showed the mean score for the first cycle was 67, and 72 in the second cycle. The students also showed a positive response during the implementation of Direct Reading Thinking Activity in teaching reading comprehension. It can be indicated that the students’ achievement in reading comprehension had been improved through Direct Reading Thinking Activity.Based on the result above, the researcher concluded that Direct Reading Thinking Activity can improve students’ reading comprehension well. The researcher suggested to the other teachers who want to teach the students with the material of reading comprehension, Direct Reading Thinking Activity is appropriate to be used in improving students’ achievement.

Abstract

Abstract The study is aimed to enhance reading comprehension of the second semester students of PAI students of FTIK IAIN Pontianak by using Authentic Material. This is an action research with the subjects were 34 students of Islamic education students (PAI)FTIK IAIN Pontianak in academic year 2018/2019. This is in two cycles and the result was it is effective in enhancing the Islamic education students’ reading comprehension. These materials were much effective when the students together with the authentic task. The improvements such as more focus and active in participating classroom activities in classroom, also motivated and interesting in reading activities. And the class atmosphere is more enjoy and enthusiastic

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of effectiveness of teachers in applying skill in asking questions on Islamic Education subjects at State Junior High School(SMPN) 13 Pontianak. The study aims to find out, 1) How is the application of basic questioning skills components by teachers in islamic education subjects at SMPN 13 Pontianak? 2) Do teachers do things that should be avoided in applying basic questioning skills to Islamic Education subjects at SMPN 13 Pontianak? This research uses descriptive method and qualitative approach. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. The subject of this research was a teacher of Islamic education at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak. Data collection techniques used are observation, interview, and documentation. Data analysis techniques used in this research are data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The data validity examination techniques used in this study are data triangulation, member check, deep observation and using reference material. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the teacher's questioning skills are the most frequent and most important activity carried out in the learning process. The ability to ask questions is the main ability that must be possessed by teachers because asking is a tool for teaching. 1) The application of basic questioning components, namely clear and brief question disclosure, reference, concentration in questioning skills, transfer of answering turns, dissemination of questions, giving thought time in asking questions and giving demands have been implemented and carried out by PAI teachers in the learning process. 2) Teachers do things that should be avoided in questioning skills.

Abstract

An overview of the problem of this study is to analyze the performance of students in learning english at islamic boarding school. The purpose of this study is: reveal how to use google classroom in learning english.   This research is descriptive research  that reveal recap of learning methods and student work in the Google Classroom application. And also Student answers in the response questionnaire to the use of the Google Classroom application in teaching learning proceess. The results obtained, namely: The use of Google Classroom in the teaching learning process follows the activities in the face to face teaching learning process. The teacher use opening, whilst, and closing activities.

Abstract

This research caused by the ineffectiveness of the implementation of student discipline on the punishment. The research aims to reveal, 1) the implementation of student rules regarding punishment in the Islamic perspective, 2) the effectiveness of the implementation of student rules regarding punishment in the Islamic perspective, 3) the obstacles in implementing student discipline regarding punishment in the Islamic perspective. This research used descriptive methods and qualitative approaches. The research conducted at Mujahidin Private Senior High School. The subject of this study was the counselling teacher and the teacher of Islamic education. Data collection techniques used are observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique used data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The validity checking data technique used in this study is data triangulation. The results of the research: 1) Implementation of the rules has been applied to the maximum, considering students have understood the prevailing rules and regulations as well as students who violate but are still said to be reasonable because they are only related to minor violations. 2) There is an awareness of his mistakes and the responsibility to improve them. The decline in the number of violations is also evidence of the increase in awareness in carrying out school discipline and the progress made by this school because of implementation punishment. 3) The inhibiting factor is the student itself related to awareness, environment, and parents. While the supporting factor is the cooperation that exists between the school and students.Penelitian ini disebabkan oleh ketidakefektifan penerapan disiplin siswa pada hukuman. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkapkan, 1) implementasi aturan siswa tentang hukuman dalam perspektif Islam, 2) efektivitas penerapan aturan siswa tentang hukuman dalam perspektif Islam, 3) hambatan dalam menerapkan disiplin siswa mengenai hukuman dalam Islam perspektif. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dan pendekatan kualitatif. Penelitian dilakukan di SMA Swasta Mujahidin. Subjek penelitian ini adalah guru konseling dan guru pendidikan Islam. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data menggunakan reduksi data, tampilan data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Teknik pemeriksaan data validitas yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah triangulasi data. Hasil penelitian: 1) Implementasi aturan telah diterapkan secara maksimal, mengingat siswa telah memahami aturan dan peraturan yang berlaku serta siswa yang melanggar tetapi masih dikatakan wajar karena hanya terkait dengan pelanggaran kecil. 2) Ada kesadaran akan kesalahannya dan tanggung jawab untuk memperbaikinya. Menurunnya jumlah pelanggaran juga merupakan bukti meningkatnya kesadaran dalam melaksanakan disiplin sekolah dan kemajuan yang dibuat oleh sekolah ini karena hukuman pelaksanaan. 3) Faktor penghambatnya adalah siswa itu sendiri terkait dengan kesadaran, lingkungan, dan orang tua. Sedangkan faktor pendukungnya adalah kerja sama yang ada antara sekolah dan siswa.

Abstract

This research seeks to outline the importance of guarantees, and improve the quality of lecturers through the 5000 doctoral programs at the State Islamic Religious College (PTKIN) in Indonesia. Lecturers who hold doctoral degrees or who have S3 education qualifications are 2,498 lecturers or 19% percent of 12,819 lecturers. Data comes from the Ministry of Religion in the figures for 2016. Data analysis tools use exploratory data analysis (Exploratory Data Analysis - EDA). The 5000 doctoral program is a standard quality assurance criterion for prospective doctoral program students and quality standards for doctoral graduates.

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to describes students’ writing recount problem. This research used descriptive method and was conducted at SMP Negeri 20 Pontianak. It revealed the most serious problem in writing recount text was in the area of grammar. It found when the students wrote recount text which applied past tense with regular or irregular verb. The second problem came from the vocabulary aspect. It happened when the students demonstrated to state the main idea and include choosing the word that supporting in writing recount text. The third problems found in the area of organization aspects. It happened when the students composed the text paragraph coherently. The last problems found in the part of mechanics. It came when the students wrote down the recount text paragraph in the zone of spelling and punctuation

Abstract

Abstract. This study aimed to optimize the students writing by implementating the clustering technique that technique help students to generate ideas. The method used the classroom action research as an appropriate method for this research. The subject in this research was done at SMP Negeri 02 Suhaid, Kapuas Hulu. This is a Junior High School which is located on Lintas Mensusai Street No.1 Mensusai, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The researcher conducted the research for 24 students’ of VIII class. In qualitative data finding based on the observation checklist and field note, the students very enthusiastic during teaching learning process and their showed positive attitude to the activities that were conducted by the researcher in clustering technique. Besides, there were some students who active and often asked the questions when they found some difficulties in writing. Moreover, in quantitative data finding had conclusion was that clustering technique could be used to improve the students’ writing skill. The students’ writing ability increased.
