Abstract

The Problem solving skills are skills that must be possessed by students to solve a problem correctly and correctly in the learning process. Students with high achievement do not necessarily have high problem solving skills either. This study aims to describe students' problem-solving skills in simple aircraft material based on class rankings. This research method uses a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The research location was conducted at SMP Avisena Jabon, Kedungcangkring Sidoarjo. The data collection techniques used were tests, interviews, and documentation that had been tested for validity. The results showed that the problem solving skills possessed by students ranked 1 on all indicators were included in the very high category, problem solving skills possessed by students ranked 2 on all indicators were included in the high category, and problem solving skills possessed by students ranked 3 on all indicators included in the high category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the use of the Think Pairs Share Method to increase student participation in understanding Mathematical Multiplication material in elementary schools. The method used in this research is a quantitative research approach. This study used the One Group Pretest Posttest design. The population used in this study were all students of class II SDN Kedinding with a sample of 22 students. Data collection techniques in this study used learning outcomes tests, where there are pretest (initial test) and postest (final test). The results of this study obtained the value of the Eta Square test with a value of 0.5582 indicating that there was a great influence with the Think Pairs Share Method on the learning outcomes of Class II Multiplication Material at SDN Kedinding, Tarik District.

Abstract

Science process skills are basic skills that students must have to be able to master and apply the scientific method in everyday life. The importance of mastering science process skills is because it is very influential on student learning outcomes. This study aims to describe the profile of students' science process skills in science learning. This research method uses quantitative methods with a survey approach. The location of the research was carried out at SMPN 3 Taman, Sepanjang, Sidoarjo. The data collection technique used is a test that has been tested for validity. From the results of the study showed that the science process skills of class VII students obtained an average of 51 in the sufficient category. class VIII obtained an average of 46 in the sufficient category. class IX obtained an average of 67 in the good category. From the results of data calculations using the One Way Anova test, the results obtained are Fcount (6.412476) > Fcrit (3.554557) and P-value (0.007895) < (0.05). So it can be stated that Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. With a 95% confidence level and using a significance level of 5%, it can be stated that there is a difference in the average grades of the VII, VIII, and IX grades of the KPS test results.

Abstract

This research is expected to be able to find out in more details what problem are actually faced by the teachers of Al-qur’an. This study aims to determine the implementation of tahfidz Al-qur’an learning management in improving the quality tahfidz al-qur’an and tartil of the students. There are five components that are measured in this study, they are: planning, organizing, implementing, evaluating and the teachers role in carrying out thafidz and tartil learning activities. This implementation of this research used descriptive qualitative method. Researchers want to focus on finding out how the implementation, process, response, teacher’s role and evaluations are expected and sought. In this study of course hools. It is hoped that it will be able to provide spliyions to others quranic teachers but each research can give different result. During the implementation of the research, these obstacles must have included some children who memorized a lot but were weak in reading ability, there were children who were good at reading but weak in memorizing this could be due to different educational backgrounds. There were children who graduated from public and private elementary schools. This research is done in SMP Muhammadiyah 10 Sidoarjo. And the research subjects are: the headmaster, vice principal, tutor, administrative staff and some students. This research using qualitative descriptive method. And the data is collected by interviews, observation and documentation. From this research can be concluded that 1)tahfidz al-qur’an learning curriculum has not been implemented in the form of syllabus or RPP 2) tutor hasn’t created yet RPP but has already inform to the students what surah or juz must be memorized 3) the learning implementation is held outside of school hours 4) the evaluation activity is held in every the student memorize .

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the educational environment on students' interest in learning. The non-experimental quantitative research method with descriptive correlational research design was tested on several experimental classes using an assessment instrument in the form of giving a questionnaire of 20 questions to determine the effect of the educational environment on students' interest in learning. The population used was 412 using simple random sampling technique so that in class VII there were 24 representatives from 119 students, class VIII 24 from representatives of 122 students, and class IX consisted of 34 representatives from 171 students at Avisena Junior High School. Data analysis used correlation between variables X and Y through the SPSS 25 application, namely. Based on the results of descriptive analysis found that the educational environment was in the good category 46.9%, and the results of interest in learning were in the good category 43.3%. The educational environment is significantly and positively related, shown because the significance value is 0.02 < 0.05, then it is correlated and the Pearson correlation value is 0.319 > 0.213 r table so that based on the correlation value greater than r table, there is a relationship between the educational environment variable and students' interest in learning science

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze students' critical thinking skills through the application of learning cycle type 7E at SMPN 1 Krembung. This research is a quan- titative research type of quasi-experiment with one-group pretest-posttest design. Data were collected using pretest and posttest to measure students' critical thinking skills with critical thinking indicators from Robert H. Ennis. Data were then analyzed using N-Gain to determine the improvement of students' critical thinking skills. The results showed that the indicator of critical thinking skills "determines actions" gained the highest N-gain score of 0.8 and the lowest N-gain value is the "focus question" indicator of 0.167.

Abstract

Natural science is a subject that can be delivered through various strategies in understanding the concept, one of which is through ethno-STEM, with Sidoarjo local wisdom that is packed integrated with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. This strategy is done to practice analytical thinking skills. The purpose of the study to describe the effectiveness of natural science learning based ethno-STEM to practicing the analytical thinking skills of secondary school students. The research method uses quantitative research type experiments with one group pretest and posttest design, class VIII student population of 120 students with a sample of grade VIII B a number of 30 students in MTs Muhammadiyah 1 Taman Sidoarjo. Research procedures include pretest, treatment by implementing natural science learning based ethno-STEM, and posttest. Data analysis techniques use descriptive statistics. The results showed that the implementation of naturak science learning based ethno-STEM is said to be effective, namely 1) the implementation of average learning 3.7 very well categorized, 2) student activities relevant to the average learning 3.6 categorized very well, 3) there is an increase in the value of analytical thinking skills of students by 0.6 moderate category, and 4) positive student response to learning by 90%. Further research is expected to be able to compare treatment between classes, as well as other variables that contribute to learning so that the analysis will be deeper.

Abstract

Pada penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan model Project Based Learning terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa. Metode penelitian kuantitatif pra eksperimen dengan desain penelitian one group pretest-postest design yang diujikan kepada satu kelas eksperimen dengan menggunakan instrumen penilaian berupa soal tes berbentuk essay sebanyak 4 soal untuk mengetahui berpikir kreatif siswa. Populasi yang digunakan adalah siswa kelas VIII di SMP Dharma Wirawan 3 Tanggulangin. Analisis data menggunakan uji-t melalui aplikasi IBM SPSS 23.0. Hasil penelitian ini persentase berpikir kreatif siswa setelah di diberikan perlakuan menggunakan model Project Based Learning dapat dihitung dari setiap indikator dalam soal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis uji-t menggunakan paired simple t-test diperoleh nilai signifikan 0,000 lebih kecil dari taraf signifikan 0,05; kelas eksperimen berpengaruh pada model Project Based Learning terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model Project Based Learning terhadap berpikir kreatif siswa berada pada katagori baik setelah diterapkan model Project Based Learning.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze (1) Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) profile of IPA teachers in teaching science in terms of PCK component in pentagon model (2) constraint of PCK science teacher in teaching science. The PCK component consists of five components including: Component K1 (teaching orientation), K2 (knowledge of Curriculum), K3 (knowledge of students), K4 (knowledge of learning strategy) and K5 (knowledge of assessment). The research is a qualitative with phenomenology approach. The subject of the research was a science teacher at SMPN 4 Sidoarjo. Data collection techniques in this study using documentation, observation and interviews. Data analysis phase using Miles and Huberman model. Test the validity of the data used triangulation technique. Based on the research results revealed PCK teacher profile: K1 component is science learning oriented to develop the cognitive, psychomotor and affective aspects of students by applying constructivism learning theory, K2 component that is understanding the curriculum 2013 and apply it to learning but conducted development on objectives, content and learning materials, K3 component: identify that students do not experience misconception and in managing the classroom asking the students who have the advantage to help other students, K4 component is applying discovery learning model with scientific approach 5M (observing, asking, collecting data, associating and creating), K5 component is the assessment of the students covering 3 aspects (cognitive, affective and psychomotor) with assessment methods of quetion and observation, and teachers do not experience PCK constraints in teaching Water Pollution Material. In the next research is expected to reveal three other teacher competencies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of Guided discovery learning models on the science process skills of students in SMP Negeri 3 Bangil class VII on the material of environmental pollution. This type of research is quasi experimental, with non equivalent design pre-test and post-test control group. The sampling technique used purposive sampling obtained 2 classes, namely class VII G as a control class and class VII H as an experimental class. The instrument of this research is a test of science process skills in environmental pollutants with data collection techniques using the test method, namely pre-test and post-test. Data analysis techniques were carried out using the t-test. The results showed that the Guided discovery learning model had a significant effect on the science process skills of students in SMP Negeri 3 Bangil class VII on the material of environmental pollution.
