The purpose of this research is to investigate how school principals managed the application of the learning process during the COVID-19 epidemic at exceptional schools in the Pidie Regency over the study period. The descriptive technique is used with a qualitative approach in this research. In this instance, the researcher examines and explains the occurrences that occur spontaneously in the field under the facts that are seen. Data collected from the field were evaluated by converting respondents into narrative form, making it easier to comprehend the findings when presented at the end of the study. The findings indicate that the preparation for implementing the learning process at the State Special School in Pidie Regency during the COVID-19 epidemic was successful, as shown by the outcomes. The approach for executing the learning process at the exceptional school in Pidie Regency during the COVID-19 epidemic has been operating at peak performance. The head of SLB Negeri in Pidie Regency is in charge of overseeing both direct and indirect methods. Managing the execution of the learning process during the COVID-19 epidemic presents several challenges for the school's principal. The shifting zoning status of COVID-19, which affects altering learning patterns, is a barrier that must be overcome throughout the design stage.

This research aimed is to describe students' logical-mathematical intelligence through project-based learning. This study was descriptive qualitative research. Participants in this research are students of class XI school in Meulaboh for one class that is class XI-1. The data is students answer that was obtained from the logical-mathematical intelligence test. The data collected by using multiple intelligence tests and student answers results obtained from the task of logical-mathematical intelligence during the project-based learning process. The results show that in general logical-mathematical intelligence during project-based learning each group meets a minimum of four out of five aspects of logical-mathematical intelligence. Thus, the logical-mathematical intelligence of students developing after the implementation of the project-based learning.

Penelitian yang berjudul “Analisis Kompetensi Pedagogis dan Profesional Guru Bahasa Indonesia Bersertifikat Pendidik di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) Negeri Kota Banda Aceh” bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kompetensi pedagogis dan profesional guru bahasa Indonesia bersertifikat pendidik di SMA Negeri Kota Banda Aceh. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif (mix method). Sebuah prosedur penelitian yang mengombinasikan angka-angka dengan data yang bersifat deskriptif. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada 8 orang guru bahasa Indonesia bersertifikat pendidik yang berasal dari 8 SMA Negeri Kota Banda Aceh. Tahapan penelitian ini dimulai dari tahap pra-lapangan, pelaksanaan, analisis data/interpretasi, dan diakhiri dengan penulisan laporan. Selanjutnya, teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis dokumen, observasi, dan wawancara. Adapun hasil penelitian diperoleh, untuk kompentensi pedagogis guru bahasa Indonesia bersertifikat pendidik rata-rata guru mendapat penilaian kurang baik, sedangkan kompetensi profesional rata-rata guru mendapat penilaian baik.

A school principal as a top manager has a strategic role in fostering the school teachers’ work discipline. The objective of his research was to describe the programs or policies made and the obstacles encountered by the principal in fostering the teachers’ work discipline at Islamic State Senior High School (MAN) 1 of Aceh Utara Regency. A descriptive – qualitative approach was used in conducting this research, and the data were collected by doing interviews, observation, and documentation. The research subjects were the school principal and the school teachers. The results indicate that the aim of the programs fostering the teachers’ work discipline was to achieve the learning goals which might expectedly lead to the improvement of the school quality. Each program was arranged to provide a good, effective, and fun learning which should be the school goals – oriented. It was also found that in facing the teachers with a moderate level of work commitment, the principal implemented situational leadership while in dealing with the teachers who had higher level of work commitment, the principal implemented consultative and participative leadership. In addition, the principal often discussed with the teachers and listen to their ideas. The obstacles encountered by the principal in fostering the teachers’ work discipline and motivation were several teachers who came late to the school, those who prepared the incomplete learning tools, and those who used no media in teaching and learning process. Abstrak Kepala sekolah sebagai top manager memiliki peran yang strategis dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan program kepala sekolah, kebijakan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan komitmen kerja guru, serta kendala kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kedisiplinan guru pada MAN 1 Kabupaten Aceh Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif.Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi.Subjek penelitian kepala sekolah dan guru. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa program peningkatan disiplin kerja guru bersasaran untuk tercapainya proses pembelajaran dengan optimal, sehingga pada akhirnya mutu sekolah dapat ditingkatkan. Setiap penyusunan program diarahkan agar proses pembelajaran berjalan dengan baik, efektif, dan menyenangkan, dan berorientasi kepada pencapaian tujuan sekolah. Kebijakan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan komitmen guru dengan menerapkan kepemimpinan yang bersifat situasional bagi guru-guru yang komitmen kerjanya biasa, tetapi sikap mereka lebih patuh dalam melaksanakan tugasnya, kepala sekolah menerapkan kepemimpinan konsultatif dan partisipatif. Kepala sekolah banyak berdiskusi untuk mendapatkan cara yang disetujui oleh guru-guru. Kendala dalam meningkatkan disiplin kerja guru antara lain masih ada sebagian kecil guru yang datang terlambat ke sekolah, masih ada guru yang tidak menyiapkan perangkat pembelajaran dengan lengkap, tidak pernah menggunakan media dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran.

Pemerintah telah memberlakukan Kurikulum 2013 sebagai upaya untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan nasional yang sesuai dengan perkembangan zaman dan memiliki ciri khas dalam penggunaan pendekatan scientific/ilmiah pada proses pembelajarannya. Tidak mudah untuk menerapkan pendekatan scientific dengan baik dan benar khususnya pada mata pelajaran matematika. Banyak aspek yang menjadi ukuran keberhasilan penerapan tersebut salah satunya aktivitas siswa dalam proses pembelajaran. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan aktivitas siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika menggunakan pendekatan scientific dengan subjek siswa kelas XI SMA Labschool yang ditentukan berdasarkan kategori tinggi, sedang dan rendah. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh dari hasil observasi terhadap kegiatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran dan hasil wawancara yang selanjutnya dianalisis secara deskriptif melalui tahap reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa untuk ketiga subjek komponen yang belum terlaksana dengan baik adalah mengkomunikasikan. Aktivitas yang berlangsung hanya sebatas berdiskusi dengan teman sekelompok, sedangkan mengkomunikasikan yang dituntut dalam pendekatan scientific memiliki beberapa kegiatan yang harus di laksanakan. Hal itu terjadi karena beberapa faktor diantaranya waktu yang tersedia tidak cukup untuk melaksanakan kegiatan tersebut sehingga terlewatkan.. Ketiga subjek memiliki aktivitas yang berbeda dalam setiap kegiatan dan belum seluruhnya sesuai dengan deskripsi yang diharapkan dalam pendekatan scientific.

[English]: Students' ability to understand mathematics concepts remains problematic even though conceptual understanding is critical in learning mathematics. Indeed, one of the efforts to develop conceptual understanding by actively engaging students in mathematics learning is to apply the scientific approach with mind mapping. This study aimed to investigate the development of secondary students' conceptual understanding through the use of the scientific approach with mind mapping in the number sequences topic. The present study employed a qualitative descriptive approach which involves 24 ninth-grade students. Two students (S-1 and S-2) who respectively represent low and mid-achieving groups of mathematics ability were selected as the subjects for the focus of the investigation. They were purposively selected based on the results of preliminary test and teacher consultation. Data were collected by administering a conceptual understanding test and semi-structured clinical interview. The results of the test and transcript of the interview were analyzed based on the indicators of conceptual understanding to investigate the students' development of number sequences concepts. The results showed that S-1 fulfilled the indicators of conceptual understanding in all lessons, while S-2 only met one indicator in the third lesson. However, the post-test revealed that the students show significant progress in conceptually understanding the number sequence. The present study concludes that applying scientific approach with mind mapping support students’ development of conceptual understanding. Keywords: Conceptual understanding, Scientific approach, Mind mapping, Number sequences [Bahasa]: Kemampuan siswa dalam memahami konsep matematika masih bermasalah padahal pemahaman konsep merupakan bagian paling penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dalam hal ini, salah satu upaya untuk mengembangkan pemahaman konsep dengan melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam pembelajaran yaitu menerapkan pendekatan saintifik berbantuan mind mapping. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengalisis perkembangan pemahaman konsep siswa SMP melalui pendekatan saintifik berbantuan mind mapping pada materi barisan bilangan. Penelitian ini menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif yang melibatkan 24 siswa kelas IX. Dua siswa (S-1 dan S-2) yang masing-masing mewakili kemampuan rendah dan sedang dalam matematika dari 24 siswa tersebut dijadikan sebagai fokus investigasi. Kedua siswa tersebut dipilih berdasarkan hasil tes awal dan konsultasi dengan guru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui pemberian tes pemahaman konsep dan wawancara semi-terstruktur. Hasil tes dan transkrip wawancara dianalisis berdasarkan indikator pemahaman konsep untuk menganalisis perkembangan pemahaman konsep barisan bilangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa S-1 memenuhi indikator pemahaman konsep untuk semua pertemuan, sedangkan S-2 hanya memenuhi indikator pada pertemuan ketiga. Namun, hasil post-tes menunjukkan capaian pemahaman konsep yang lebih baik dari kedua siswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan pendekatan saintifik dengan mind mapping dalam pembelajaran matematika mendukung pengembangan pemahaman konsep siswa. The objectives of this study were to describe how teachers design the Computer-Based Madrasah Exam (CBME) questions for English subjects, to investigate learning strategies students use, and to explore the obstacles the students face in this exam. Questionnaires and interviews were used as the instruments to collect data for this study. A number of 95 ninth-grade students and two English teachers of Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri No. 1 (MTsN 1; this school level is equivalent to junior high schools) in South Aceh, Indonesia, participated in this study. The data were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively using thematic analysis. The results revealed that in designing the assessment of CBME, the teachers used four strategies which were preparing for the change in the final exam model, selecting sources in designing the exam questions, preparing students to face the exam in the new model, and resolving obstacles in developing the exam questions. Meanwhile, the students used five strategies in facing the exam, they are managing time, motivating themselves, creating study groups, practicing, and strengthening basic abilities. Furthermore, the obstacles that the students faced in the exam are a lack of skill in using a computer for the exam, slow internet access, limited computer availability, limitation of vocabulary mastery, taking time to understand questions, and peers’ interventions. Thus, this study suggests that more training is still needed for teachers in designing the assessment model of CMBE and the school also need sufficient facilities before they enforce CMBE to their students.

Education is a process in developing one's own abilities and individual strengths. According to the Indonesian Dictionary, education is a process of changing the attitude and behavior of a person or group of people in an effort to mature human beings through teaching and training efforts. This study aims to analyze financing management in Babul Maghfirah Junior and Senior High School, Aceh Besar, as well as its implications for improving the quality of education. Using a qualitative approach and descriptive methods, this study explores the process of preparing School Activity Plans and Budgets (RKAS), the implementation of financing, as well as the challenges and supporting factors in school financing. The results of the study show that effective, transparent, and accountable financing management plays an important role in improving the quality of education in schools. In addition, the support from the government, parents, and school committees greatly determines the success of fund management and its allocation. This study recommends increasing cooperation between stakeholders in the management of education funds as well as improvements in the budgeting process to suit the real needs of schools.
