Abstract

This study aimed to examine the relationship between facilities and instructors' perceptions of their ability to develop instructional media during a pandemic. This study employed a quantitative approach through the use of a survey. The sample size for this study was 154 elementary school teachers drawn through a purposive sampling technique from Pelalawan and Rengat districts. The data were gathered via a survey administered over WhatsApp and analyzed descriptively and inferentially using SPSS version 26. The findings indicated that all fundamental support facilities for online learning were met 100 % of the time, interactive learning media facilities were met 48.7 % of the time, and assistive devices for students were met 58.4 % of the time. Additionally, 60.4 % of teachers frequently create learning media on their own, 45.5 % frequently generate media independently, and 42.9 % frequently use online learning media. The Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient calculated between facilities and teachers' abilities indicated a significant value of 0.0000.05. As a result, it is possible to conclude that there is a positive and significant association between facilities and the teacher's opinion of their ability to produce instructional media.

Abstract

Abstrak: Pendidikan dan pelatihan memberikan kesempatan pada guru untuk meningkatkan prestasi pembelajaran di sekolah. Penelitian ini bermaksud untuk mengetahui pengaruh program pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru dan juga melihat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi ke dua variabel tersebut. Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh dari program pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru yang ada di SMP Negeri 1 Keritang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif dengan jenis penelitian korelasi dengan menggunakan teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana. Variabel bebas (X) Program pendidikan dan pelatihan, variabel terkait (Y) Peningkatan kompetensi. Dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 30 orang guru SMP Negeri 1 Keritanng dengan menggunakan total sampling. Analisis data dibantu dengan menggunakan SPSS 22.0 . Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa (1) program pendidikan dan pelatihan berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 83%, (2) peningkatan kompetensi berada pada kategori sangat baik dengan persentase 86%, (3) terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara program pendidikan dan pelatihan terhadap peningkatan kompetensi guru di SMP Negeri 1 Keritang dengan nilai rhitung 0,776 lebih besar dari rtabel pada taraf signifikan 5% yaitu 0,361 (0,776>0,361). Jadi dalam penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa semakin baik program pendidikan dan pelatihan maka semakin berkualitas pula peningkatan kompetensi guru. Sekolah diharapkan untuk dapat meningkatkan efektifitas pelaksanaan program pendidikan dan pelatihan agar peningkatan kompetensi guru terus mengalami peningkatan dengan lebih baik.

Abstract

The development of science and technology needs to be accompanied by an increase in the quality of human resources, including through education. Education is closely related to the learning process so that one way to improve the quality of human resources is by choosing a learning model that involves technology during the learning process. One learning model that uses technology during the learning process is the Moodle-based Hybrid Learning model. The use of the Moodle-based Hybrid Learning model can help students understand the subject matter. Cognitive aspects are one important component that must be owned by students but these aspects are still relatively low. Therefore, the purpose of this article is to: 1) describe student activities during the implementation of the Moodle-based Hybrid Learning model in mathematics learning; and 2) determine the effect of Moodle-based Hybrid Learning models on student mathematics learning outcomes. This type of research is a quantitative research with experimental methods in the form of pure experimental types carried out at SMAN Negeri 1 Tembilahan Hulu with a sample size of 33 experimental classes and 33 control classes. The data collection method used in this study is a test technique. Based on the results of the analysis it can be concluded: 1) the implementation of the Moodle-based Hybrid Learning model is classified as good as seen from the mean values ​​of the experimental class 19.97 while the mean control class is 17.52; and 2) there is an influence of Moodle-based Hybrid Learning models on student mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between student motivation and computational thinking (CT) skills within a Scratch-based learning environment for primary school students. Utilizing a quantitative research design with a pretest-posttest framework, the research involved 28 primary school students engaged in a computational learning program centered on the Jumping Bean concept. A confusion matrix analysis was employed to assess the predictive relationship between motivation levels and improvements in CT skills. The results showed that motivation is a reliable predictor of CT gains, with high precision indicating that highly motivated students are very likely to demonstrate measurable progress. However, the recall score suggests motivation alone is not a conclusive factor, as some motivated students did not achieve the expected CT improvements. This implies that other instructional elements, such as prior knowledge, cognitive differences, teaching methods, and learning design, also significantly impact outcomes. The implications of this research suggest that educators should cultivate motivating learning environments to foster students’ CT skills effectively. Recommendations include integrating gamified elements and personalized feedback to enhance student engagement and motivation in computational learning contexts.
