Abstract

This study aims to analyze students' mathematical communication skills orally and in writing in solving linear programming problems during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative research. The subjects of this study research are two students of class XI MIPA at MAN Ponorogo. Determination of the subject using purposive sampling based on problem-solving tests and interviews. Subject criteria are students who answer most completely and correctly. The research instrument is in the form of problem-solving test questions and interview guidelines. The result of this study is that during the COVID-19 pandemic, learning is carried out online. Students' mathematical communication skills in solving linear programming problems in online learning during the COVID-19 pandemic include being able to express mathematical ideas orally or in writing, being able to compile mathematical models orally or in writing, and being able to write and explain the process of solving mathematical problems verbally or in writing.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil kecerdasan emosional dalam pemecahan masalah matematika oleh siswa kelas XI Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK CENDEKIA Madiun. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan dua subjek penelitian siswa kelas XI Multimedia SMK CENDEKIA Madiun. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan observasi dan wawancara berbasis tugas. Teknik keabsahan data dengan triangulasi waktu, kemudian dianalisis melalui reduksi, penyajian dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa (baik laki-laki maupun perempuan) dalam pemecahan masalah matematika memiliki keuletan, optimisme, motivasi, dan antusiasme dalam memahami, menyusun, dan melaksanakan pemecahan masalah. Siswa perempuan memiliki keuletan, optimisme, motivasi, dan antusiasme dan laki-laki memiliki keuletan, optimisme, dan motivasi dalam memeriksa kembali hasil pemecahan masalah. Dengan demikian siswa laki-laki dalam memeriksa kembali tidak memiliki antusiasme.

Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu komponen yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika.Kemampuan koneksi matematis membuat siswa memiliki pandangan yang lebih luas terhadap matematika sebab terjadi di kehidupan sehari-hari, materi yang telah dipelajari dan bidang ilmu pengetahuan lainpun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP yang memiliki gaya kognitif field dependent dan field independent dalam pemecahan masalah kontekstual. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siswa, yaitu 1 siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent dan 1 siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent. Teknik pengumpulan data terdiri dari tes dan wawancara.Teknik keabsahan data dilakukan dengan triangulasi teknik.Analisis data melaluireduksi, penyajian data, dan verifikasi. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa profil kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa dalam pemecahan masalah kontekstual dengan gaya kognitif field dependent dan field independent mampu mengoneksikan masalah antartopik dalam matematika. Siswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependentbelum memiliki kemampuan untuk mengoneksikan materi matematika dengan ilmu selain matematika serta belum mampu mengoneksikan materi matematika dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Sedangkan siswa dengan gaya kognitif field independent mampumengoneksikan materi matematika dengan ilmu selain matematika serta belum mampu mengoneksikan materi matematika dengan kehidupan sehari-hari

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kelayakan media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian dan pengembangan ini terdiri dari fase investigasi awal, design, konstruksi, tes, evaluasi dan revisi, serta implementasi. Penelitian hanya difokuskan sampai pada fase tes, evaluasi dan revisi. Hasil penelitian adalah: 1) media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi dinyatakan sangat valid yang dilihat dari hasil rata-rata penilaian validator  media sebesar 89,05%, 2) media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi dinyatakan praktis dari hasil rata-rata yang diperoleh dari lembar angket respon siswa mencapai 87,95% memberikan respon positif, 3) media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi dinyatakan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran yang diketahui dari persentase ketuntasan siswa sebesar 87,50%. Dengan demikian media pembelajaran interaktif berbasis animasi layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika pada materi statistika untuk siswa kelas 7 SMP.

Abstract

Reasoning that is constructed from remembering is imitative reasoning, while the opposite is creative reasoning. This study aims to explore creative mathematical reasoning in solving geometric problems. Mathematical creative reasoning is reasoning that contains elements of novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, which is explorative. The research subjects were the first-semester student in the mathematics education study program with 32 students. The results showed that from 32 students, there was only one student identified as having creative mathematical reasoning in solving geometry problems. Creative mathematical reasoning can be identified when the subject is able to reason algorithmically but is aware of problems so they cannot be resolved algorithmically so that they must form new reasoning, which consists of novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation. Creative mathematical reasoning arises after students make an algorithmic reasoning process, but find no solution. Novelty is the weakest indicator of creative mathematical reasoning, so it requires scaffolding to bring it up.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-learning tool based on video presentations to enhances attitudes, skills and pedagogical knowledges of prospective teacher students during the Covid-19 pandemic. This type of research is Research and Design (R & D) using the Plomp development model, which consists of 3 stages: a preliminary study, design, and assessment. Data collection was carried out through observation, device validation, distribution of response questionnaires, and assessment of student learning outcomes. The results of the data analysis show that at the preliminary study stage, it was found that there were still no devices that supported learning during the Covid-19 pandemic. At the stage of design was designed, including RPS, LMS Settings, and Video Presentations. At the assessment stage, it was found that all the tools developed had valid criteria, students gave a positive response to the small and broad trials respectively of 97.68%; 98.32% so that the tools developed were included in practical criteria. The assessment of learning outcomes in the aspects of attitudes, skills, and knowledge had average completeness on the small and broad trials respectively of 82.92%; 86.99% so that the equipment used was included in the effective criteria. Thus the device developed can be said to be feasible because it meets the criteria of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. The development of e-learning based on video presentations can be used to enhance attitudes, skills, and pedagogical knowledge of prospective mathematics teacher students.

Abstract

Dongkrek merupakan kesenian asli dari daerah Mejayan Kabupaten Madiun. Kesenian Dongkrek belum begitu dikenal dengan baik oleh masyarakat luas. Kelompok seni Dongkrek juga terbatas, yaitu hanya satu kelompok di Kelurahan Pandean Kecamatan Mejayan Madiun. Oleh sebab itu, perlu dilakukan pengenalan dan kaderisasi seniman Dongkrek bagi para siswa di SDN Pandean agar kesenian dongkrek tetap lestari dan dapat berkembang menjadi seni budaya khas Madiun yang dikenal masyarakat luas. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini meliputi (1) sosialisasi (pengenalan) seni Dongkrek di SDN Pandean, (2) pelatihan kesenian Dongkrek bagi para siswa di SDN Pandean, dan (3) pagelaran seni Dongkrek. Hasil yang diperoleh adalah (1) siswa SDN Pandean telah mengenal seni Dongkrek dan sejarahnya, (2) siswa SDN Pandean telah menguasai seni Dongkrek baik tarian maupun musikalisasinya, dan (3) terlaksananya pagelaran seni Dongkrek di Taman Kota Caruban Asti yang disaksikan oleh pemerintah daerah setempat, masyarakat luas dan mahasiswa asing anggota pertukaran pelajar dari Filipina.

Abstract

The use of ICT became important after the government through a circular letter from the Minister of Education and Culture regarding the call for the implementation of online learning to prevent the transmission of Covid-19. Each educational institution including Universities PGRI Madiun (UNIPMA) also issued a policy to conduct online learning in providing educational services. This research is descriptive qualitative because it is used to analyze the quality of learning in mathematics education study program through video-based eLMA. Data was collected by means of learning evaluation questionnaires and learning observations of basic mathematics studies, introduction to education, field geometry, and numerical methods. The Data analysis was carried out by reducing, presenting and drawing conclusions about the quality of learning in mathematics education study programs through video-based eLMA. The results of the study quality research showed that the results of the learning evaluation conducted by 4 lecturers who were in charge of basic mathematics studies, introduction to education, field geometry, and numerical methods were categorized as very good with successive scores of 3.65; 3.74; 3.64 and 3.68. The results of the observations of the internal quality assurance team also stated that the learning quality of the four courses was included in good criteria with recommendations maintained.

Abstract

Discovery learning is a learning model that enhancescreative thinking skill including develops students' creative mathematical reasoning. Creative mathematical reasoning process includes novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation. This research aims to describe students’ creative mathematical reasoning of the mathematics education department on Geometry. The data was collected based on the observation and individual evaluation of students.The results showed that Discovery Learning can (1) grow as much as 35.48% of students have complete creative mathematical reasoning (novelty, plausibility, and mathematical foundation), (2) grow as much as 64.52% of students have incomplete creative mathematical reasoning, and (3) grow novelty by 77.42%.

Abstract

Pada masa pandemi covid 19 pembelajaran dilaksanakan secara online dengan memanfaatkan e-learning. Multimodal model merupakan komponen pokok dalam pembelajaran online, yang meliputi konten, sosial emosional, tanya jawab, refleksi dan evaluasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan efektifitas penerapan multimodal model melalui e-learning pada pembelajaran geometri bidang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester 1 program studi pendidikan matematika sebanyak 63 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik dokumentasi, observasi dan tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan multimodal model efektif dalam pembelajaran geometri bidang. Komponen multimodal model meliputi konten, tanya jawab, sosial emosional, evaluasi dan refleksi dapat terlaksana dengan baik melalui e-learning. Penerapan multimodal model melalui e-learning membutuhkan aplikasi pendukung agar dapat optimal dalam pelaksanaannya, terutama pada komponen sosial emosional dan tanya jawab. selain itu, penerapan multimodal model dapat menumbuhkan kreatifitas dosen dalam menciptakan media yang mendukung pembelajaran online, seperti video berbasis powerpoint dan audio.Kata Kunci: E-learning; geometri bidang; multimodal model; pandemi covid 19. AbstractDuring the Covid 19 pandemic, learning was carried out online by utilizing e-learning. The multimodal model is a key component in online learning, which includes content, social emotional, question and answer, reflection and evaluation. This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the application of the multimodal model through e-learning in field geometry learning. This type of research is descriptive. The research subjects were the first semester students of the mathematics education study program, totaling 63 students. Collecting data using documentation techniques, observation and tests. The results showed that the application of the multimodal model was effective in learning field geometry. The multimodal components of the model including content, question and answer, social emotional, evaluation and reflection can be carried out well through e-learning. The application of the multimodal model through e-learning requires supporting applications so that it can be optimal in its implementation, especially in the social emotional component and question and answer. In addition, the application of the multimodal model can foster the creativity of lecturers in creating media that supports online learning, such as powerpoint-based videos and audio.Keywords: Covid-19 pandemic; e-learning; field geometry; multimodal.
