<![CDATA[From the preliminary research of the fourth graders of SDN Lawangan Daya 2 Pamekasan, it showed that most of the students had a lack of vocabulary mastery. This research is conducted to find an effective and appropriate strategy to improve students‟ vocabulary mastery by using flashcard. Therefore, the appropriate design for this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The researcher implemented the strategy in one cycle, those are: planning, implementing, observing and reflecting. The result of the class vocabulay test is analyzed quantitatively, while the result of the data achieved from observation class is analyzed qualitatively. The finding shows that the students‟ vocabulary mastery increase significantly from the preliminary research. The result can be concluded that (1) teaching and learning process needs an appropriate and effecctive strategy, (2) flashcard is considered as an appropriate technique to improve the students‟ vocabulary mastery.]]>

<![CDATA[In this modern era, on line game become trending topic. Generally, most of people receive game development anthusiastically. The fact, the researchers found that there are many people spend their spare time in online game center. Moreover, playing online game English Version can affect the students’ English achievement. By playing online game, the students or players will try to understand the instruction stated using English. They will have many English vocabularies on the game then it will increase the English achievement at the school. This research is correlation design which tries to find the correlation between Playing Online Game English Version and Students’ English Achievement by using Pearson Product Moment formula. The population is the students of the third grade of Vocational Senior High School 3 Pamekasan. which consist of 11 classrooms The result. The number of all class consists of 289 students, then the researcher take 33 students as a sample. The result of this research shows that playing online game has a high/strong correlation to the students’ English achievement of the third grade of Vocational Senior High School 3 of Pamekasan. It is proven by observed rxy (0,739) is higher than “r” table of product moment in significance level 5% (0,344) and 1% (0,442). (0,344) means “r” table value of product moment in significance level 5% of 33 respondent. While (0,442) means “r” table value of product moment in significance level 1% of 33 respondent. And (0,739) get from the computation of data analysis both variable X (playing game online) and variable Y (Students’ English achievement).]]>

<![CDATA[This study is a classroom action research (CAR). This study proposed example non example technique to teach English for second grade students at state junior high school 1 Larangan Pamekasan to solve the students’ problems on speaking skill. The result of the preliminary study indicated that the problem of the students toward their speaking skill is the average speaking score is lower than the minimum standard of learning (KKM). Based on the pre-test, the students who got score more or equals to 75 are 7 students and 33 students got less 75. Then the researchers collaborated with the teachers try to solve the problem using example non-example technique using classroom action approach. The results showed that the instruction through example non-example technique in the Cycle I and Cycle II, there was improvement of students’ speaking ability at second grade of state junior high school 1 Larangan Pamekasan. The students were more imaginative and feel free to show their understanding about the pictures. It made they motivate to learn and they could improve their speaking ability.]]>

<![CDATA[Abstract: The research’s purpose is to perceive the implication of reading technique use and self-belief to reading comprehension. This research is conducted to answer the problem do reading technique and self-belief fundamentally implication to college students’ reading comprehension. The problem was answered using alternative hypothesis stating reading technique and self-belief significantly implicate to college students’ reading comprehension. The reasearch used quantitative and research design is correlation. The subject of the reserach was 240 population students of English Education Department of Universitas Islam Madura Pamekasan. The sample was 150 students after being counted by Sloven theory. The sample was taken using simple random sampling with lottery media. The data was taken using questionnaire for reading technique which consisted of 30 points questions to know the frequency of reading technique use, questiannaire for self-belief which consisted of 9 questions for regulated learning and the answers scored using Likert Scale, the reading comprehension test consisted 40 questions were picked up from Longman Pre TOEFL reading test. The data were analyzed using regression formula to answer the reserach problem. Data analysis was counted using SPSS version 11.0. The result showed that reading technique and self-belief fundamentally implicate to the college students’ reading comprehension. It was authenticated by table of regression showing that the value of F is 14.339 (p<0.01). It meant that the data reject nul hypothesis and receive alternative hypothesis. It is substantiated reading technique and self-belief fundamentally to reading comprehension of students university.]]>

<![CDATA[This study presents the story of experience of EFL teacher in teaching and learning process during pandemic by implementing blended learning. The research design was qualitatively through narrative inquiry. Meanwhile, the reach instrument used by the teacher was narrative box and interview guide. Next, the researcher analyzed the story by re-telling narratively, the researcher then segmented the narrative data into themes. The finding of this study reveals that the teacher tried to apply suitable online platform to teach in blended learning, then it was decided that the teacher used Google classroom and WhatsApp. This application was chosen because of the school policy and it was easier for the students to be implemented. Moreover, there were some problems in its implementation; those were internet connection, and students’ awareness.]]>

<![CDATA[Teaching speaking is an important part of language learning so that the English teacher should use some strategies to improve the students’ speaking skill. At the tenth grade of MA AL-ABROR Blumbungan Pamekasan, the English teacher used questioning strategy to encourage the students to be better in speaking.That is why the researchers want to describe the phenomena further in the research entitled the implementation of questioning strategy in teaching speaking for the tenth grade in MA AL-ABROR Blumbungan Pamekasan. The aim of this research was to find out how was the implementation of questioning strategy for the tenth grade in MA AL-ABROR Blumbungan Pamekasan, what types of the question were used by the teacher in the implementation of questioning strategy for the tenth grade in MA AL-ABROR Blumbungan Pamekasan,and how did the responses of thestudents in the implementation of questioning strategy for the tenth grade in MA AL-ABROR Blumbungan Pamekasan. The instruments used by the researchers answer observation, interview and documentation in collecting the data.The results were 1. the teacher used questioning strategy by using some steps in teaching speaking, the first step is deciding the topic related with the students’ environment, then He give some vocabullaries related to the topic. Then teacher choose some students who have low ability and medium or high ability in speaking to treat them in giving them both the convergent questions and divergent questions. The last The teacher use increasing wait-time when the students need time to think about the questions, 2.The teacher used convergent and divergent questions, it was done to make the students have better understanding in speaking and the students can be easy in answering the question given by the teacher. 3. The student’s responses in implementing of questioning strategy are various , they were comfort, nervous, afraid but They could enjoy it because the topic relate with their environment]]>

<![CDATA[Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan tujuan meningkatkan vocabulary atau kosakata bahasa inggris untuk siswa siswi SDN Murtajih 2 Pamekasan. Selain itu, kegiatan ini meberi pengalaman belajar kosakata bahasa inggris kepada siswa siswi SD dengan menggunakan media flashcard. Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan ini yaitu pendampingan dan pengajaran kepada siswa siswi SD. Target luaran dari kegiatan ini yaitu peningkatan penguasaan vocabulary bahasa inggris siswa siswi SD murtajih 2 Pamekasan. Ada 4 teknik penggunaan media flashcard yang diterapkan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini diantaranya yaitu, Flash, slowly-slowly, What missing?, dan magic eyes. Pada kegiatan ini terlihat siswa siswi aantusias dalam belajar kosakata bahasa inggris dan terdapat peningkatan penguasaan kosakata sehingga diharapkan penggunaan media flashcard bias terus diterapkan oleh guru dalam proses belajar mengajar Bahasa Inggris.]]>

<![CDATA[Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu memberikan pelatihan penggunaan bahasa Inggris kepada mahasiswa lulusan D3 Keperawatan dan kebidanan sebagai persiapan untuk bekerja ke luar negeri. Dalam hal ini yang peserta dibutuhkan yaitu bahasa Inggris yang berkaitan dengan bidang mereka atau kebutuhan mereka pada dunia kerja yang mereka jalani. dengan kata lain bahasa Inggris yang dibutuhkan adalah English for specific purpose (ESP). Metode yang digunakan pada kegiatan pengajian ini yaitu ceramah, praktek dan tanya jawab. untuk pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilakukan secara daring ( online) selama satu bulan yang dimulai pada jam 18.00 sampai jam 19.30 dari hari Senin sampai hari Jumat malam Melalui platform Zoom meeting. Adapun jumlah peserta pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu berjumlah mahasiswa yang sudah lulus dan akan bekerja di luar negeri. Ada tiga tahap yang dilaksanakan pada kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu tahap persiapan yang dilakukan oleh dosen selaku narasumber dengan menyiapkan platform, materi atau bahan ajar, dan daftar nama peserta kegiatan. Kemudian untuk tahap pelaksanaan narasumber kegiatan memberi materi bahasa Inggris yang berkaitan dengan kebutuhan peserta pada saat bekerja sebagai tenaga kesehatan di luar negeri. untuk tahap penutup, Dalam setiap akhir pertemuan, selaku narasumber selalu mereview materi yang sudah diajarkan dan melakukan tanya jawab kepada peserta dan di akhir pelaksanaan kegiatan Pengabdian beserta diberikan ujian berbentuk tanya jawab, atau interview dan ujian tulis untuk memastikan seberapa jauh pemahaman peserta dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian ini. Selama kegiatan berlangsung peserta atau mahasiswa lulusan D3 Kebidanan dan keperawatan yang mengikuti kegiatan ini terlihat antusias dalam belajar bahasa Inggris terutama kata-kata (vocabularies) yang berkaitan dengan bidang peserta dan kalimat atau percakapan yang biasa digunakan dalam dunia kerja mereka.]]>

<![CDATA[This study examines the relationship between the use of podcast media and the listening achievement of grade IX students at SMPI Al Mukhlisin Pakong Pamekasan. Many students struggle to comprehend spoken English, especially when listening to native speakers. To address this issue, a correlational quantitative research method was employed, utilizing observation, interviews, questionnaires, tests, and documentation as research instruments. The collected data from questionnaires and tests were analyzed using the Pearson Product Moment correlation test with SPSS 17. The results indicate a positive and significant correlation between podcast use and students' listening achievement, with an r-value of 0.413 and a significance value of 0.023 (p < 0.05). Although the correlation falls into the moderate category, these findings suggest that podcasts can serve as an effective learning tool for enhancing students’ listening skills. Therefore, integrating podcasts with other instructional methods is recommended for more optimal learning outcomes. This study contributes to the development of technology-based learning strategies that align with students' needs in the digital era]]>
