Abstract

Abstract— Proposals selection process for Research and Community Service in Politeknik Negeri Ambon still performed manually. Individual sub processes separated, not integrated causing inefficiency. Sistem Informasi Seleksi Proposal P3M (SIMLITABNAM) comes to solve problems found. Integrated system take advantage of Information technology, will offer efficiency and accuracy. Online System provides more flexibility for researchers, reviewers and other stakeholders. The system developed guided by proven Software Engineering methods, guarantees quality and easiness of maintenance. Obviously his application benefit to every person involved in the process.Abstrak—Pengelolaan seleksi Proposal Penelitian Dan Pengabdian Masyarakat pada Politeknik Negeri Ambon masih  dilakukan  secara  konvensional.  Proses-proses  dalam  penyeleksian dilakukan secara  terpisah,  memakan  waktu  yang  lama  dan  menyulitkan  dalam proses koordinasi. Selain itu proses tersebut belum bisa dilaksanakan secara  daring(online).  Sistem informasi seleksi proposal merupakan  sebuah  aplikasi  yang mampu  mewadahi  kebutuhan  yang  disebutkan  di atas.  Aplikasi  ini sekarang dikembangkan berbasis web secara daring.  Metoda pengembangan perangkat lunak yang digunakan adalah waterfall with increment. Aplikasi ini bisa memberikan layanan yang lebih baik dan akses lebih luas kepada pihak-pihak yang terkait dalam proses Seleksi proposal Penelitan dan Pengabdian Masyarakat pada Politeknik Negeri Ambon.

Abstract

Abstract—Efficient and quick procedure to build a web application is presented. The steps are intended to build a database application system with hundreds of tables. The procedure can minimize tasks needed to write code and doing manual programming line by line. The intention also to build rapidly web-based database application. In this method security concerning authentification and authorization already built in ensuring the right and eligible access of the user to the system. The end result is ready to use the web-based 3-tier application. Moreover, the application is still flexible to be customized and to be enhanced to suit more specific requirement in part of each module of the software both the server-side and client-side programming codes. Abstrak—Pada penelitian kali ini diusulkan prosedur cepat dan efisien pengembangan aplikasi basis data menggunakan generator aplikasi. Bertujuan untuk meminimalisir penulisan bahasa pemograman. Keuntungan dari prosedur ini adalah bisa digunakan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi basis data secara cepat terutama dengan sistem basis data yang terdiri dari banyak tabel. Hak akses dan prosedur keamanan standar telah disediakan sehingga setiap user terjamin haknya terhadap entitas tertentu di basis data. Hasil generasi adalah aplikasi basis data berbasis web yang siap pakai. Sistem aplikasi yang terbentuk masih sangat lentur untuk untuk dilakukan penyesuaian setiap komponen aplikasi baik di sisi server maupun di sisi client.

Abstract

Dipaparkan prosedur untuk mengembangkan Sistem Pengenalan Suara otomatis, Automatic Speech Recognition System (ASR) untuk kasus online recognition. Prosedur ini  secara cepat dan efisien membangun ASR menggunakan Hidden Markov Toolkit (HTK). Langkah-langkah praktis ini dipaparkan secara jelas untuk mengimplementasikan ASR dengan daftar kata sedikit (Small Vocabulary) dalam contoh kasus pengenalan digit Bahasa Indonesia. Dijelaskan beberapa teknik meningkatkan performansi seperti cara mengatasi noise, pengejaan ganda dan penerapan Principle Component Analysis. Hasil akhir berupa Word Error Rate

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dalam era modernisasi dewasi ini baik dalam bidang komputer maupun bidang lainnya secara lansung maupun tidak langsung memacu kita untuk harus dapat menguasai teknologi tersebut.Berdasarkan analisa situasi, maka permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh Jemaat GPM Gidion Wayari (Mitra I) dan Jemaat GPM Halong Anugerah (Mitra II) dalam management pengelolaan data adalah penyajian data jemaat masih bersifat konvensional/manual yang mengakibatkan sering terjadinya kesalahan dalam pencatatan ataupun pendataan, data yang diinput secara berulang-ulang (Redudance Data), proses pencarian data sangat lambat, biaya operasional semakin membesar, dan kurangnya kemampuan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) dalam menggunakan perangkat teknologi.Dengan dilaksanakannya kegiatan Pelatihan Management Pengolahan Sistem Informasi Data Jemaat Gpm Gidion Waiyari Ambon Dan Jemaat Gpm Halong Anugerah Ambon, maka solusi terhadap permasalahan Mitra I dan Mitra II dapat teratasi yaitu pembuatan Aplikasi sistem informasi management data Jemaat, penyiapan tenaga operator IT Jemaat dengan cara melakukang pelatihan (training) pengoperasian Microsoft Office (Word, Exel, Power Point), dan melakukan pelatihan (training) pengoperasian Sistem Informasi Management Data Jemaat.

Abstract

This writing investigates the classification of images taken using a smartphone. Due to the large number of photos and the large number of photo categories, it is necessary to automatically categorize these photos. Photos are classified using two different approaches. The first method uses Hidden Markov Model (HMM) and the second technique employs Siamese Network from Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) architecture. The same data are used for training and testing for both models. For HMM we use Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to extract salient features of images. The number of training examples is very small compared to the test set. Here we carried out few-shot classification method. For recognition of the HMM, Viterbi algorithm is applied. Performances of both procedures were measured. For only 109 test samples HMM achieve 98% accuracy, while twin network achieves 90%. The use of HMM has advantage over Siamese in term of faster computation. HMM opens the opportunity of the smartphone with low computation capability to categorize photos automatically.

Abstract

At the Ambon State Polytechnic, students' semester grade reports are still manually typed. This causes frequent typo errors which can result in the invalidity of the document, let alone incorrect grades, student identification numbers and many other label values. Here a java application has been implemented to detect these errors. This application is primarily intended for officials of the Head of Study Program, Head of the Department before signing and validating the report. Officials who legalize it will be greatly assisted because tedious validation work can be replaced by computers. The validation process is carried out by utilizing the optical character recognition technique from the open source library Tesseract-OCR. From the experimental results the verification process can be improved by using OCR specific on specific regions of interest (ROI) after using template matching method from OpenCV. The consideration of the Levehnstein distance in the comparison of label values against the reference database also improves the success rate of the algorithm. The database used has been tested for about 800 grade report documents, with successful verification result above 90%.

Abstract

Images from the increasing use of smartphones are so large that they are nearly impossible to handle by hand. The problem arises when a person needs to classify these photos into groups or classes. Smartphones are low-performance devices in contrast to desktop or cloud-based computers. Many solutions of image classification using various types of Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) are performed on massive cloud-based supercomputers. These computers often equipped with very high-end additional specialized graphics processing units (GPUs) at remarkable prices. In fact, to implement classification in most smartphones currently on the market, we need an algorithm that has less computation. Based on this fact, we propose HMM that requires fewer parameters. The aim of this research is to examine HMM method for classification of photos taken with a smartphone. For a comparison we also outline the results from Siamese CNN. The same data are used for training and testing for both models. For HMM, we use Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) to extract salient features of images. The number of training examples is very small compared to the test set. Here we carried out few-shot classification method. In the training phase, we used Maximum Likelihood (ML) criterion-based, Baum-welch algorithm. Two versions are used; isolated training is applied first and later followed by jointly-embedded Baum-welch estimation of parameters. For recognition of the HMM, Viterbi algorithm is applied. Performances of both procedures were measured. Based on the test results, HMM achieves 0,94 precision, 0.85 recall, F1 score 0.89 and accuracy 0.90 while Siamese claims 0.87, 0.98, 0.92 and 0.91. The result shows that HMM, which has advantage over Siamese in term of fewer parameters number, still competes Siamese CNN with only slight decrease in performance. We conclude that HMM are suitable over Siamese CNN to be implemented in low-performance devices such as cellphones.
