Abstract

Games in the form of learning media are one of the innovations in the world of education. Based on interviews conducted by the author with students and teachers, it was revealed that Chemistry is not one of the materials that are considered difficult. In addition, students are also less interested in taking chemistry lessons because of the difficulty of understanding the material presented. To help and facilitate teachers and students in the learning process of Periodic system of elements in the classroom, making games as a medium for learning Periodic system of elements is an opportunity to be researched. The research method used is ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). This research has succeeded in producing educational game products based on role playing games (RPG) as learning media for Periodic system of elements. The educational game was successfully developed using the RPG Maker application. The results of the expert validity test and the teacher's response test to the educational games that were built were 1) Material expert validators with an average value of 3.33 were in the very good category 2) Media expert validators with an average value of 3.22 were in the good category 3) The learning expert validator with an average value of 3.27 is in the very good category. 3) The results of the teacher's response test with an average value of 3.62 are in the very good category. The results of the validity test and response test showed that the educational game made was feasible to be implemented in the classroom and used as a learning medium for Periodic system of elements.

Abstract

[The Effect of Application of The LDPD-Assisted Learning Cycle 5E Learning Model on Understanding Concepts and Science Process Skills in Support Solution Materials] This study aims to determine the significant average difference in students' understanding of concepts and science process skills on buffer solution material. This type of research is a quasi experiment with a post-test only control group. This study used two classes, namely an experimental class with the application of the 5E learning cycle model and a control class with treatment as usual. This research was conducted at MAN 1 Bengkulu City. The research sample was class XI IPA 1 and XI IPA 4 which were randomly selected. Class XI IPA 1 as experimental class and XI IPA 4 as control class. The research instruments in this study are observation sheets, science process skills, and test questions. The data analysis technique used is the hypothesis test, namely the t-test for understanding concepts and the Mann-Whitney test for science process skills. Based on the results of the concept understanding hypothesis test, a significant 2-tailed value of 0.008 was obtained. The significance value is <0.05 so it is concluded that there is a significant average difference in concept understanding between the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of the Mann-Whitney test, a significant value of 2-tailed 0.01 was obtained so that the significant value was <0.05. The test results showed that there was a significant average difference between the experimental class and the control class on process science skills.

Abstract

This research was the development of chemistry teaching materials using Adobe Flash CS6 software which aimed to determine the feasibility level, readability level, and student response to chemistry teaching materials on the subject of colloid system. The development of this teaching materials used the ADDIE development model which was limited to the implementation stage. The research was conducted at MAN 1 Bengkulu City with the research subjects being 9 students of class XI IPA 2 for the teaching materials readability test and all students of class XI IPA 2 totaling 33 students for testing student responses to the teaching materials. From the results of the study, it was found that (1) the feasibility level of this teaching materials was 88.33% meanwhile the result from the media aspect was 87% therefore based on the validation results by the validator of the teaching materials developed using Adobe Flash CS6 software it was declared very valid, (2) based on the results of the teaching materials readability trial, the average percentage of teaching materials readability obtained was 84.04% with a very valid category, (3) based on the product trial, the average student response was 89.67% with a very valid category. Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan profil keterampilan metakognitif, hasil belajar siswa, dan korelasi keterampilan metakognitif terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN 5 Kota Bengkulu. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas XI MIPA 3, XI MIPA 4 dan XI MIPA 5 yang berjumlah 105 siswa yang dipilih berdasarkan teknik purposive sampling dari populasi sebanyak 7 kelas. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara tes menggunakan instrumen tes tertulis dan non tes menggunakan kuesioner. Analisis data untuk uji korelasi menggunakan aplikasi SPPS 23. Hasil penelitian pada kuesioner keterampilan metakognitif diperoleh sebesar 85,2% yang menunjukkan bahwa keterampilan metakognitif siswa berada pada kategori sangat baik. Aspek keterampilan metakognitif terendah pada bagian keterampilan evaluasi (evaluating skills) diperoleh sebesar 82,8%  yang menunjukkan bahwa sebagian siswa belum dapat merangkum apa yang dibuat, belum memahami dalam menjawab persoalan dan kurang teliti dalam memeriksa jawaban yang telah dibaut pada materi hidrokarbon. Hasil penelitian terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon diperoleh bahwa sebanyak 61,90% siswa pada kategori sangat baik, dan 38,10% pada kategori siswa baik. Hasil uji korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara keterampilan metakognitif dengan hasil belajarnya yang terlihat dari nilai koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,919 serta nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,003. Hal tersebut menunjukkan bahwa korelasi keterampilan metakognitif dengan hasil belajar siswa pada materi hidrokarbon berada pada kategori sangat kuat yang menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu menuliskan, menyusun serta membedakan berbagai struktur senyawa.

Abstract

Pelepah sawit memiliki banyak kandungan unsur hara seperti: 2.6-2.9 % N; 0.16-0.19% P; 1.1-1.3% K; 0.5-0.7% Ca; 0.3-0.45% Mg; 0.25-0.40% S; 0.5-0.7% Cl; 15-25 mikrogram/L B; 5-8 mikrogram/L Cu; dan 12-18 mikro/L Zn. Tingginya kandungan zat hara pelepah sawit tersebut, berpotensi dimanfaatkan sebagai pupuk organik yang unggul dan ramah lingkungan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat Desa Arga Indah II dalam pengolahan limbah pelepah sawit menjadi pupuk organik dan mengetahui peningkatan ekonomi yang terjadi di Desa Arga indah II setelah pelaksanaan kegiatan ini. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan kombinasi antara kegiatan lapangan (offline) dan online. Kegiatan diawali dengan melakukan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat mengenai pengenalan program, rencana kegiatan yang akan dilakukan dan pemberian pemahaman kepada masyarakat dalam pembuatan pupuk organik pelepah sawit. Selanjutnya dilakukan pelaksanaan pembuatan pupuk yang dimulai dengan pengumpulan limbah pelepah sawit, pencacahan, proses pengadukan dan dekomposisi. Pengecekan dilakukan setiap minggu, pada minggu pertama secara offline dan minggu kedua hingga keempat secara online dan dilanjutkan pengaplikasian, pengemasan dan pemasaran dengan mitra kerja. Tim PHP2D terus melakukan pengawasan rutin atas keberlanjutan program guna mewujudkan masyarakat peduli lingkungan yang memanfaatkan limbah organik sebagai sumber pendapatan di Desa Arga Indah II.

Abstract

Penggunaan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi menjadi daya tarik tersendiri untuk peserta didik dalam berbagai bidang pembelajaran. Namun, banyak guru yang belum memanfaatkan teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Guru perlu untuk memiliki kemampuan dalam mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi ini, sehingga perlu untuk diadakan kegiatan pengabdian ini. Kegiatan ini memiliki tujuan untuk melatih guru SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu Tengah dalam mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan Canva sebagai alat bantu untuk membuat media pembelajaran berbasis teknologi. Kegiatan ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Komputer, SMA Negeri 2 Bengkulu dengan jumlah peserta 22 guru dari berbagai bidang. Pelatihan dilakukan sebanyak 2 pertemuan yang terdiri dari penyampaian materi, praktik pembuatan dan presentasi hasil. Ketercapaian tujuan adalah adanya media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan melalui Canva dan persepsi dari peserta tentang tingkat pemahaman. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar penilaian media dan angket persepsi. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah sebanyak 17 media pembelajaran telah dihasilkan dengan jenis 11 media slide presentasi, 3 media lembar kerja, 1 media poster, dan 2 media video pembelajaran. Hasil penilaian media diperoleh skor rerata sebesar 2,53 dan angket persepsi tingkat pemahaman dengan skor rerata 2,55 atau kategori tinggi untuk tingkat pemahaman materi yang diberikan. Kendala yang dihadapi adalah sebanyak 5 guru tidak memiliki waktu lebih untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran sebagai penugasan, sehingga tidak mengumpulkan di akhir kegiatan.

Abstract

This study aim is to synthesize and characterize metal organic frameworks La-NDC and determine the electronic response to borax (H3BO3) compounds. The method used to synthesize La-NDC MOFs is the solvothermal method with dimethylacetamide (DMA) as solvent. The research was conducted in the learning laboratory of FKIP UNIB and the Basic Science laboratory of FMIPA UNIB from April to June 2022. The synthesis stages of La-NDC MOFs consisted of six stages, namely preparation, mixing, heating and cooling, washing, drying and weighing. Yield results obtained as much as 70.77% and 63.85%. The results showed that La-NDC MOFs have been synthesized with a slightly yellowish white crystalline form. Characterization of La-NDC MOFs was carried out using FTIR, SEM and XRD methods. The results of FTIR characterization showed that Lanthanum metal ions had coordinated with NDC ligands to form a network of MOFs, XRD characterization results showed that La-NDC MOFs had good crystallinity and SEM characterization results showed that the morphology of La-NDC MOFs resembled irregular rocks with diameters ranging from 73 - 581 m. The analytes used for the response test were borax, benzene, toluene and formalin. The electronic response test of La-NDC MOFs was carried out using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength range of 200-800 nm. The results of the electronic response test on the sample of MOFs with borax show that La-NDC MOFs have no potential as sensors because they do not show specific electronic behavior towards borax

Abstract

This research to determine the feasibility of the practicum KIT, responses and students' psychomotor abilities after using the developed KIT alternative media.  The development of this chemistry practicum KIT uses ADDIE development.  This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu with research subjects namely 12 students of class XI MIPA 2 for small group trials and all students of class XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bengkulu and SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu for large group trials.  The instruments in this research are interview sheets, student needs questionnaires, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and psychomotor assessment sheets.  The results of this research obtained (1) The feasibility level of the chemistry practicum KIT was 94,05% with a very valid category, (2) The results of students' responses to the practicum KIT on calorimeter material obtained a percentage of 89,06% in the very good category, (3) The participants' psychomotor abilities  students obtained an average percentage at SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bengkulu of 92,17% and SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu of 96,95% the very good category.  The results of this research show that a chemistry practical KIT on calorimeter material has been developed which is very suitable for use and application in the learning process
