Abstract

The purpose of this study was to develop a scientific literacy-based test instrument to measure students' scientific literacy at SMA Negeri 9 Bengkulu City in thermochemistry material. The development model used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The research subjects were classes XI MIPA 3 and XI MIPA 2 at SMA Negeri 9 Bengkulu City for the academic year 2022/2023 which were selected based on a purposive sampling technique with a population of 3 classes, which was then subjected to a homogeneity test so that a homogeneous class was obtained, namely class XI MIPA 2 for large scale test and XI MIPA 3 for small scale test. The research period starts from January to September 2022. The research data was obtained from interviews, expert validation sheets, empirical test analysis, reliability, level of difficulty, discriminating power, and analysis of students' scientific literacy levels. The number of instruments developed is 6 items in the form of essays. The research results were obtained using the Ministep application, so that the items developed were declared valid by the validator with a CVR (Content Validity Ratio) value of at least 0.78 for each question, and the CVI (Content Validity Text) value obtained was 0. 94 with very good category. The results of the empirical validity test were carried out on 15 students of class XI MIPA 3 and obtained 8 valid questions. The developed scientific literacy-based test instrument has a reliability value of 0.85 in the very good reliability category so that it can be used to measure students' scientific literacy level. The results of implementing the development of scientific literacy-based test instruments obtained 1 student who had a high level of scientific literacy, 2 students who had a moderate level of scientific literacy, and 23 students with a scientific literacy level at the nominal scientific Literacy level. The results of the development of scientific literacy-based test instruments have proven to be accurate and reliable so that they can be used to measure students' scientific literacy, especially in thermochemical material. Abstract

Abstract This study aims to develop an e-LKPD based on Guided Discovery Learning and to determine the feasibility and student response to the e-LKPD. The development model used is the ADDIE model (analysis, design, development, implementation, evaluation) which is limited only to the development stage in the form of student response testing. The research was conducted from June to March 2023 at Bengkulu 1 Public High School. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique, namely class XI IPA 4, totaling 28 people for small group trials. The research instruments were interview sheets, student needs questionnaires, validation sheets, and student response questionnaire sheets. The resulting data consists of qualitative data in the form of suggestions from the validator and students as well as quantitative data on the results of validation sheets and student response questionnaires. Validation sheets and student response questionnaires use a Likert scale. The results showed that the chemical e-LKPD based on Guided Discovery Learning was declared very feasible by media and material experts with a media aspect percentage of 93.57% and a material aspect of 89.12%. Student responses to the e-LKPD were in the very good category with an average percentage of 91.13%, from the results of the study it could be concluded that the chemistry e-LKPD on Guided Discovery Learning-based reaction rates was very suitable for use as teaching materials. Abstract

[The Influence of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model on Students' Analysis Ability on Buffer Solution Subjects]. This research is a pre-experimental research type aims to determine the effect of applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model on students' analytical abilities on buffer solution materials. The research was conducted at SMAN 4 Bengkulu City with a sample of class XI IPA 3, which consisted of 36 students. The instruments used in this study were analytical ability test sheets and observation sheets. From the research results obtained (1) the average pretest-posttest results experienced a significant increase, namely 7.67 to 64.43 from a maximum score of 100. The results of hypothesis testing using a t-test at the significance level of 0.05 obtained a Sig Value (2tailed) of 0.000 with a decision H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. This shows that the problem-based learning model has an effect on students' analytical abilities, (2) the N-gain test results obtained an average of 0.61 in the medium category. The percentage increase in analytical skills on differentiating indicators is 66%, organizing indicators is 67%, and indicators of attributing are 51%.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to develop a three-level multiple choice assessment instrument to measure critical thinking skills of students at SMA Negeri 5 Bengkulu City on thermochemical material. The development model used is the ADDIE model. The research subject is class XI MIPA 4 at SMA Negeri 5 Bengkulu City in the academic year 2022/2023. The research data were obtained from needs analysis, expert validation sheets, empirical test analysis, reliability, difficulty level, discriminatory power, distractor analysis, and analysis of students' critical thinking skills. The number of instruments developed is 20 three-tier multiple choice questions. The results of the study: (1) The three-level multiple choice test instrument on the thermochemical material developed was declared valid by the validator with a minimum CVR value of 0.78 and a CVI value of 0.91 with a very good category (2) The results of the empirical validity test carried out on 68 students and obtained 14 valid questions (3) A three-level assessment instrument with several choices that can be used to measure students' thinking skills (4) The results of the implementation of developing critical thinking skills instruments obtained 2 students with very critical categories, 2 students with critical categories, 16 students in the moderately critical category, 13 students in the less critical category, and 1 student in the uncritical category. (4) The results of the development of the three-tier multiple choice assessment instrument can be used to measure students' critical thinking skills.

Abstract

This research to determine the feasibility of the practicum KIT, responses and students' psychomotor abilities after using the developed KIT alternative media.  The development of this chemistry practicum KIT uses ADDIE development.  This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu with research subjects namely 12 students of class XI MIPA 2 for small group trials and all students of class XI MIPA 3 SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bengkulu and SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu for large group trials.  The instruments in this research are interview sheets, student needs questionnaires, validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and psychomotor assessment sheets.  The results of this research obtained (1) The feasibility level of the chemistry practicum KIT was 94,05% with a very valid category, (2) The results of students' responses to the practicum KIT on calorimeter material obtained a percentage of 89,06% in the very good category, (3) The participants' psychomotor abilities  students obtained an average percentage at SMA Negeri 8 Kota Bengkulu of 92,17% and SMA Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu of 96,95% the very good category.  The results of this research show that a chemistry practical KIT on calorimeter material has been developed which is very suitable for use and application in the learning process

Abstract

The subject of Chemistry is still relatively unfamiliar among junior high school students because it is still part of the broader Science subject taught at that level. This is also the case at SMPN 28 Bengkulu Utara, where students are still unfamiliar with chemistry. To introduce chemistry and create a positive impression of the subject among students at SMPN 28 Bengkulu Utara, an outreach activity was conducted focusing on interesting chemical phenomena — in this case, the phenomenon of quantum fluorescence.During the activity, explanations were given about the meaning of fluorescence, the causes behind it, and its applications in everyday life. The outreach activity also included demonstrations of the fluorescence phenomenon. Participants engaged in the event enthusiastically, as seen through the students' active participation. This activity is expected to help participants become more familiar with chemistry, a subject that has long been considered difficult, intimidating, and abstract. Abstract

Kurikulum yang diterapkan di SMAN 10 Kota Bengkulu adalah kurikulum 13 dan di kelas X telah menerapkan kurikulum merdeka. Perubahan kurikulum ini akan terus berkembang seiring dengan perkembangan zaman dan menyesuaikan dengan teknologi yang semakin maju, sehingga dalam kegiatan belajar mengajar juga harus siap dengan perubahan dan beradaptasi terhadap perkembangan teknologi. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah untuk merancang dan membuat e-modul berbasis STEAM dan meningkatkan pemahaman guru mengimplementasikan pendekatan STEAM dalam pembelajaran. Metode yang dilakukan dalam kegiatan ini berupa workshop melalui pelatihan, praktek terbimbing pembuatan e-modul kepada guru-guru SMAN 10 Kota Bengkulu. Hasil dari kegitan ini yaitu guru SMAN 10 Kota Bengkulu telah berhasil membuat e-modul berbasis STEAM sebagai bahan ajar guru yaitu sebanyak 17 orang guru (80,95%) sudah dapat membuat e-modul dengan baik. Hasil N-Gain yang diperoleh sebesar 0,86 yang dikategorikan Tinggi yang berarti pemahaman guru tentang pembuatan e-modul berbasis STEAM meningkat dari sebelumnya. Pendekatan STEAM yang diintegrasikan dalam e-modul dapat dikembangkan di berbagai kurikulum baik K13 maupun kurikulum merdeka.
