Abstract

Abstract

Referred to data of Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB) and Kementerian Kesehatan Republik Indonesia (Kemenkes RI), almost landslide occurrence in Ponorogo always starts with high-intensity rain. This research aimed to determine simultaneously correlation and partial assessment impact of rainy days every month and monthly rainfall toward landslide occurrence in Ponorogo using logistic regression. The data collection was conducted through Badan Pusat Statistik (BPS) in the book of Ponorogo Regency in Figure on 2012 to 2016. The existing data shows that in sixty months have been twenty-six times landslides occurrence in Ponorogo districts. The data statistically analyzed in simultaneous proves that contribution of rainy days and rainfall to landslide were included adequate correlation (Nagelkerke R Square = 25.4 % and Cox & Snell R Square = 36.9 %) and in partial test proves that rainy days have significant impact (sig. = 0.024) and rainfall does not significant impact (sig. = 0.291) (α = 0.05) to landslide occurrence in Ponorogo regency. The rainy days per month were abled applied to predict for possible landslide elsewhere. Abstract

Introduction: The safety of educational institutions, especially at boarding schools, remains an underexplored area in safety management research. This scoping review aims to identify key dimensions of safety practices in educational institutions to provide a foundational framework for adapting safety assessments to boarding schools. Methods: Through the JBI’s Framework, a comprehensive search of six databases (PubMed, CORE, DOAJ, ScienceDirect, Wiley, and SAGE Journals) yielded 240 articles. After applying inclusion and exclusion criteria, 14 articles were included in the final analysis. Results: Content analysis of these articles revealed four main categories of school safety guidelines: structural and environmental aspects (16 indicators), knowledge aspects (15 indicators), behavioral aspects (13 indicators) and social support aspects (10 indicators). Structural and environmental aspects primarily focused on physical facilities and infrastructure. Knowledge aspects focused on the content of safety education materials that students and teachers must understand. Behavioral aspects focus on daily activities in the educational environment that support a safe culture. Social support focused on the involvement of parties outside the educational institution to support a safety culture. Conclusions: Although none of the reviewed studies focused specifically on boarding schools, the identified dimensions offer a useful starting point for developing a culturally relevant safety assessment tool. This review highlights the lack of context-specific literature and the need for further research, including expert consultation and field validation, to ensure effective safety strategies in boarding school settings.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has increased the workload of health personnel in Indonesia, and the risk of burnout has thus doubled. Several instruments exist to assess burnout, but none have been specifically developed for health personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic. Therefore, to close this gap, developing a Pandemic Burnout Inventory for health personnel is important. This study used mixed methods with a sequential exploratory design at five COVID-19 referral hospitals. A total of 30 informants were employed in the qualitative phase, selected using an intensity sampling approach, and 731 respondents in the quantitative phase were obtained in field trials and online questionnaires. Finally, a Pandemic Burnout Inventory was formed with 14 items. The content validity, based on expert judgment, showed very good results. The assessment of item discrimination and construct validity showed good results. The concurrent validity and reliability of the instrument showed fairly good results. In general, the Pandemic Burnout Inventory meets the criteria for a good instrument according to psychometrics: it is objective, standard, valid, and practical. Health care institutions can use this instrument to evaluate and prevent the deterioration of the mental health condition of health personnel handling COVID-19 or similar health crises.
