Abstract

The government implemented new normal policies in various areas, including education, during this new normal era, including the reopening of schools. Several political parties, particularly parents, have expressed strong opposition to the new policy. Many of them are concerned that their children will have to attend school outside until the COVID-19 pandemic is over. In this situation, the school community must adapt to this new normal by adhering to the government's health protocols. The lecturer, as the primary learning facilitator, is crucial in shaping new student habits. Learning innovation and the use of appropriate and diverse learning media work against the improvement in educational quality in the new peacetime era. The use of blended learning in Intensive English classes, which combines face-to-face and online learning with advanced techniques, is one of the best learning model solutions for adapting to the new normal era. The purpose of this research is to explain blended learning as a type of learning solution on the Intensive English Program at Andi Djemma University as a form of adaptation to the new normal era. In this study, we used descriptive qualitative techniques to collect data on the facts of implementing blended learning in the Intensive English Program and the current phenomena of student behavior associated with this learning model. The study's findings revealed that blended learning allows students to practice conversation during English lessons and can improve learning outcomes and scores, particularly when speaking. Firstly, 67.1% of students said that blended learning is effective, efficient, attractive, and can be used very effectively. Secondly, 77 students (84.7%) prefer blended learning to complete online or face-to-face learning.

Abstract

The application of problem-based learning is a style of methodology that puts the idea of learning from facts and looking at real-world problems into practice. In order to examine mediated communication, this study used a qualitative ex experimental design using qualitative techniques. This method, known as the "qualitative experiment," makes use of in-depth interviews and focus groups under randomized stimulus circumstances that are commonly found in experimental research. In this work, observational data collecting and document analysis were the primary methods of data acquisition. This study intends to examine how problem-based learning is used in online English learning activities. Highlights from the approach's implementation initiatives include: 1) The concept grasp of the student regarding the subject matter; and 2) the student's critical thinking. These findings suggest that the qualities of the Problem Based Learning approach, namely the student's independence and social competency, had emerged.

The sample for this investigation comprised all 52 employees from the Regional Financial Management Agency, allowing for an inclusive representation of the population. The results of the hypothesis test yielded a significance value (Sig.) of 0.001, which is less than the threshold of 0.05. This statistical finding leads to the conclusion that the quality of financial reports (variable X) significantly influences performance accountability (variable Y) in the agency. Abstract

This study examines the relationship between corporate financial disclosure and investment decisions by shareholders and investors in capital markets. Using a comprehensive dataset of 486 publicly listed companies from multiple stock exchanges over a five-year period (2018-2022), we investigate how the quality, scope, and timing of financial disclosures influence investment behaviors, pricing efficiency, and capital allocation. Through multiple regression analysis, structural equation modeling, and panel data techniques, we find that higher disclosure quality is significantly associated with increased trading volumes (β=0.42, p<0.01), lower bid-ask spreads (β=-0.38, p<0.01), and reduced stock price volatility (β=-0.31, p<0.01). Our analysis reveals that voluntary disclosures beyond regulatory requirements have a stronger impact on institutional investor decisions compared to retail investors. Additionally, the study documents that forward-looking financial information and segment reporting have particularly strong effects on investment decisions during periods of market uncertainty. The findings contribute to disclosure theory and provide empirical evidence for regulators considering disclosure policy reforms, corporate executives formulating communication strategies, and investors developing investment frameworks that incorporate disclosure quality assessment. The study addresses the causality challenge through instrumental variable estimation and difference-in-differences analysis of regulatory changes, enhancing the robustness of the identified relationships.

Abstract

This study explores the impact of targeted teaching interventions on the development of emotional intelligence (EI) and self-efficacy among university students. Recognizing the critical role these psychological constructs play in academic success and personal well-being, the research implements a series of instructional strategies designed to foster emotional awareness, regulation, and confidence in academic and social contexts. Examines the efficacy of targeted interventions in enhancing Emotional Intelligence (EI) and Self-Efficacy (SE) by comparing pre-test and post-test scores across control and intervention groups, the study employ descriptive statistics revealed significant improvements in both constructs, with the intervention group demonstrating higher post-test means (EI: 80.32; SE: 77.38) compared to the control group (EI: 74.47; SE: 68.13). Normality and homogeneity tests confirmed the data’s suitability for parametric analyses, while independent samples t-tests indicated statistically significant differences between groups (p = 0.005 for both EI and SE). These findings align with foundational theories while highlighting the amplified effects of modern intervention strategies, such as digital tools and personalized training. Notably, SE exhibited greater malleability (mean difference = 9.25) than EI (mean difference = 5.85), challenging earlier assertions about EI’s rigidity. The study concludes that the value of structured interventions in fostering psychological competencies, but calls for longitudinal research to assess sustainability and investigations into moderating factors. Practical applications include integrating hybrid (digital-traditional) approaches in educational and organizational settings to maximize scalability and impact.
