Abstract

The purpose of reserarch to determine the impact of condition factors, demand conditions, corporate strategy and competition, related industries and supporters, the role of government, the opportunity factor for competitiveness and productivity of Small Industry’s Shoes and also to know the development strategy of Small Industry’s Shoes in Tangerang District. The population in this research is the small Industry of the Textile, Leather, Footwear, and Multifarious Industry Sector at the Footwear Industry of the Sub-Sector in small industry’s Shoes located in Cikupa Tangerang Regency. The, total includes of 54 small industry’s Shoes consisting of 12 Sport Shoes Industry and 42 Shoes Industry Daily needs. In this case, the respondents are all the owner small industry’s shoe. Endogenous Variables are Competitiveness, while exogenous variables include, Condition Factor, Demand Condition, Industrial Strategy and Competitor, Related and Supporting Industries, The results this research found that there are any significant difference among Condition Factors, Demand Factors, Supporting and Related Industries, Opportunity Factors, Industry Strategy and Competition, Opportunity Factors and Government role toward Competitiveness

Abstract

Pembangkit tenaga listrik dengan menggunakan bahan bakar fosil seperti minyak bumi, batu bara dan gas alam telah menyebabkan meningkatnya suhu atmosfir bumi, terjadinya hujan asam dan pengaruhi pencemaran lingkungan lainnya. Di lain pihak, kebutuhan energi listrik di Indonesia terus meningkat seiring dengan laju pembangunan. Pusat listrik tenaga nuklir (PTLN) merupkan salah satu jenis pembangkit tenaga listrik alternatif yang prospektif karena mempunyai potensi sebagai pembangkit energi yang besar, hemat bahan bakar, dan juka dibuat dengan teknologi yang memadai akan memiliki tingkat keamanan yang tinggi bagi kehidupan manusia maupun bagi alam lingkungannya.

Abstract

The competencies of vocational high school (VHS) graduates, especially in terms of character have not met its standards. This study aims to develop a character-based assessment model for VHS in the form of a guide and procedure. Borg Gall’s (1989) model with the following stages was utilized: (1) needs analysis, (2) planning, (3) development, (4) phase I trial, (5) phase II trial, (6) evaluation of model effectiveness, and (7) final product development. This study involved some experts in the model validation. Trials were done to teachers and principals in eight VHSs in Yogyakarta Special Province, Indonesia in 2017 (first trial), and those from 42 VHSs throughout Java island, Indonesia in 2018 (second trial). Data were collected by questionnaires and interviews and analysed by quantitative and qualitative descriptive statistics. This study suggest that, overall, the model is appropriate and feasible to use, proven by (1) the assessment guide is categorized as ‘very appropriate’ (Mean 3.55; SD .52); (2) assessment procedure achieves an ‘very appropriate’ category (Mean = 3.60; SD = .51); and (3) effectiveness of the assessment model in trial 1 is in the ‘very appropriate’ category (Mean 3.43, and SD .51), and in trial 2 is in the ‘appropriate’ category (Mean 3.38, SD .53).

Abstract

Abstrak: Pembelajaran secara Bilingual di Jurusan Pendidikan Teknik Elektro. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk memperoleh informasi tentang proses pembelajaran bilingual menggunakan pendekatan kontekstual yang efektif. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian tindakan yang dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus. Masing-masing siklus terdiri atas tiga pertemuan. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada dua kelompok mahasiswa, masing-masing terdiri atas 42 mahasiswa. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa prestasi mahasiswa pada siklus terakhir termasuk dalam kategori baik (rerata = 72,48 dibandingkan dengan rerata yang ditargetkan = 70). Terdapat peningkatan aktivitas dan motivasi mahasiswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Juga terdapat peningkatan pada penggunaan bahasa Inggris oleh mahasiswa pada dua siklus terakhir. Meskipun demikian, peningkatan tersebut tidak setinggi yang ditargetkan. Pada akhir siklus terakhir, aktivitas, motivasi, dan penggunaan bahasa Inggris oleh mahasiswa termasuk pada kategori cukup. Target tidak dapat dicapai karena besarnya jumlah mahasiswa dan kurang nyamannya kondisi ruangan. Kata kunci: pembelajaran, bilingual, pendekatan kontekstual Abstract: The Bilingual Teaching and Learning in Electronics Engineering Department. This study was carried out to obtain information on the bilingual teaching and learning process using the effective contextual approach. This was an action research study conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consisted of three meetings. There were two groups of students involved in this study. Each of group comprised 42 students. The results showed that the students’ achievement in the last cycle was categorized as good (mean = 72.48 compared to the targeted mean of 70). There was an improvement in the students’ activity and motivation in the teaching and learning process. There was also an improvement on the students’ use of English in the last two cycles. However, the improvement was not as high as targeted value. At the end of the last cycle, the students’ learning activity, motivation, and the use of English were in sufficient category. The target was not achieved possibly because of the class size (too big) and the uncomfortable classroom. Keywords: teaching and learning, bilingual, contextual approach

Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the assessment of learning achievement on SMK Rujukan at Expertise Program of Electrical Engineering. The data sources of this study were school leaders (school principals, vice principals and heads of departments), teachers, and students on 5 SMK’s in Yogyakarta Province. Sample respondents were 8 (Principals/Vice Principals), 39 teachers, and 70 students. The results showed that in general the assessment of students learning achievement on SMK’s was fairly good. Based on the analysis of data from the teacher through the questionnaire, in the aspect of Planning Assessment obtained a mean value of 142.17 (72.66%), and a Standard Deviation of 16.23, fairly good. In the Instrument Development aspect, a mean value of 72.07 (75.07%) and a Standard Deviation of 6.23 was classified as fairly good. In the aspect of the Implementation of the Assessment, the mean value was 90.51 (68.56%), and the Standard Deviation was 10.89, which was fairly good. In the aspects of Usage and Reporting of Assessment Results, the average value is 70 (70%), and the Standard Deviation is 8.72, including fairly good. The assessment system of students’ learning achievement for SMK Rujukan in Yogyakarta still needs a lot of improvement

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah penerapan metode pembelajaran problem posing dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajar kompetensi Mengaplikasikan Rangkaian Listrik siswa kelas X Teknik Otomasi Industri SMK N 2 Depok. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam tiga siklus, siklus I tiga kali pertemuan, siklus II empat kali pertemuan, dan siklus III tiga kali pertemuan. Setiap siklus terdiri dari empat tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data menggunakan non tes (lembar observasi) untuk mengetahui komponen pendukung pembelajaran dan tes (instrumen pretest-posttest) untuk mengetahui peningkatan prestasi belajar siswa. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah mengumpulkan data, mereduksi data, memaparkan data, dan menyimpulkan data. Pada  penelitian ini diketahui bahwa setelah diterapkan model pembelajaran Problem Posing tipe Post Solution Type, kompetensi siswa mengalami peningkatan ditinjau dari hasil pretest-posttest siswa. Siklus I memiliki persentase ketuntasan pretest 0% posttest 28,1%. Siklus II memiliki  persentase ketuntasan  pretest 0%, posttest 68,75%. Siklus III persentase ketuntasan pretest 0% posttest 75%. Pada observasi terjadi peningkatan dan penurunan pada setiap komponen di setiap siklus.

Abstract

ABSTRACT:The purpose of this study were: (1) to develop Android-based learning media to assist the learning process of class X students of Electrical Power Installation Engineering also called TITL, (2) to determine the feasibility of learning media based on material and media aspects, (3) to determine the user's response to learning media. This is a research and development with the ADDIE model. The media feasibility test uses expert judgment. This research was implemented in vocational school at SMK N 1 Pundong. The research subjects were 38 students of class X TITL. The assessment instrument uses a questionnaire with a Likert scale of four choices. The data analysis technique used descriptive analysis. The results of this research and development were: (1) the product in the form of an android application "Electrical Component Database" as a learning media at SMK N 1 Pundong, (2) the results of the product feasibility test by material experts obtained a score of 64 out of 72 and categorised as "Very good", The results of the product feasibility test by media experts obtained a score of 71 out of 88 and categorised as " Good ", (3) students' responses to the product obtained a mean score of 115.2 out of 140 and categorised as " Very good ".ABSTRAK:Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis android untuk membantu proses belajar siswa kelas X Teknik Instalasi Tenaga Listrik (TITL), (2) mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berdasarkan aspek materi dan media, (3) mengetahui respons pengguna terhadap media pembelajaran. Penelitian ini merupakan research and development dengan model ADDIE . Uji kelayakan media menggunakan expert judgment. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK N 1 Pundong. Subjek penelitian sebanyak 38 siswa kelas X TITL. Instrumen penilaian menggunakan kuisioner dengan skala likert empat pilihan. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah: (1) produk berupa aplikasi android “Database Komponen Listrik” sebagai media pembelajaran di SMK N 1 Pundong, (2) hasil uji kelayakan produk oleh ahli materi diperoleh skor 64 dari skor maksimal 72 dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”, hasil uji kelayakan produk oleh ahli media diperoleh skor 71 dari skor maksimal 88 dengan kategori “Layak”, (3) respons siswa terhadap produk diperoleh skor rerata 115,2 dari skor maksimal 140 dengan kategori “Sangat Layak”.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the assessment system of the students’ learning outcomes in the basic courses of engineering at Electrical Engineering Education Program, Faculty of Engineering UNY. The investigation included the aspects of planning, implementation, and outcomes. This was an evaluation study which employed a countenance-stake evaluation model. Its main concern was the assessment system of students’ learning outcomes in engineering basic courses at Electrical Engineering Education Program, Faculty of Engineering UNY, including the aspects of planning (antecedent), implementation (transaction), and outcomes (outcomes). The results showed that: (1) the antecedent aspect was noticeably quite good, (2) the transaction aspect was categorized as good and quite good by the lecturers and the students respectively, (3) the outcomes aspect was categorized as quite good both by the lecturers and the students.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis reserach aims at evaluating and completing the curriculum of Electrical Engineering EducationDepartment, Faculty of Engineerinng, Yogyakarta State University to meet the need of stakeholders as well asthe development of science and technology. The method in investigating and developing the currriculum wasreferred to Indonesian National Qualification Framework for Electrical Engineering and Electrical EngineeringEducation. This study is a research evaluation on the implementation of curriculum with CIPP model. Thecurriculum development was using content analysis and discussion. The research result showed that, in general,the implementation of Curriculum 2009 for Electrical Engineering Education Department could be categorized as“appropriate” (Good) according to the respondents of lecturers or alumnae and “quite appropriate” accordingto the students. There were few weaknesses either the curriculum content or its implementation especially on theaspects of Input, Process, and Product. Based on the evaluation result on the curriculum implementation, IndonesianNational Qualification Framework as well as vision, mission and the purpose of Electrical Engineering EducationDepartment, it was found that both the draft for curriculum framework and the competence that should be masteredby the graduates of Electrical Engineering Education (Bachelor level) and Electrical Engineering (Diploma level)need to be reviewed and validated. Those actions should be conducted in order to produce a curriculum designwhich had relevance as well as adequate quality and usefulness for students, society, and corporate world.Keywords: curriculum,Indonesian National Qualification Framework (INQF)
