Abstract

Abstract

AbstractEast Jakarta is the largest administrative city in the province of DKI Jakarta. The increasing space of urban development causes the capacity and the carrying capacity of the urban environment to decrease, thus triggering the emergence of social problems, ecosystems of the land, and aquatic environment. The riparian landscape is an important aspect of the urban landscape. The riparian landscape of Cipinang River has ecological, aesthetic, and social functions. Community is the key to create sustainable social life in the community park. To know the needs of people in a community park is important as well as in a park design process, it could be grasped through the study of people preferences. Therefore, it is important too to study the community park design based on user preference to create a community park that is functional, aesthetic, ecological, and sustainable. The design process will be carried out through several stages, namely: stage of data collection, analysis and synthesis phase, concepts, and  design. The concept is “Olah Raga dan Olah Jiwa” which Water Spinach’s form as a design concept. It was chosen in addition to preserving and maintaining the riparian landscape environment, also to provide sports spaces, recreation areas. After the design process is carried out, there will be three models of design choices and one of them will be a siteplan that is used as a reference image in the process of making work drawings. A siteplan will be equipped with section plan, perspective, design details, and planting plan.

Abstract

In urban communities, the Covid-19 pandemic has caused psychological and mental disorders. Health workers are most affected and vulnerable to psychological disorders, especially those working at Covid-19 referral hospitals such as the Ahmad Yani Hospital. As a result, psychological therapy facilities or media that can improve the psychological health of health workers are needed. The research aimed to determine the urgency and need for healing gardens among health workers, to know about health workers' perceptions and preferences regarding healing garden design, and make recommendations on criteria and design concepts for healing gardens in the Ahmad Yani Hospital area. The study's methods included the distribution of questionnaires and interviews. Descriptive analysis with crosstabulation and frequency techniques is used. A healing garden in the Ahmad Yani Hospital area is regarded as necessary as a psychological therapy medium for improving the psychological health of health workers. During the Covid-19 pandemic in the hospital environment, 97.3% of participants said they needed a green open space that functions as a relaxation area to improve psychological health, and 94.6% said they needed a healing garden. Colour parameters, materials, concepts, space, plants, plant strata, plant functions, facilities, areas/locations, and healing garden criteria are all preferences for health workers. Health workers' preferences for healing garden design are generally relatively consistent across gender and age groups. A nature-oriented healing garden design is the recommended healing garden design for the Ahmad Yani Hospital area (biophilic design).

Abstract

Green building is a solution to reduce the impact of climate change originating from the life cycle of buildings. Stakeholders' understanding greatly affects the success of green building implementation in the urban landscape. This research aims to determine the preferences of stakeholders toward green building. Preferences will be used to develop recommendations for green building practices that are potentially implemented in Depok City, West Java. This research uses social media analysis. Social media data was collected from Instagram owned by government agencies, communities, educational institutions, the private sector, and the media. Preferences were identified using topic modeling analysis. Recommendations were developed through a literature study based on the results of preference studies. The preference analysis generated one topic with the keyword “water” being discussed by the community. The green building categories closest to the results of preference analysis are appropriate site development, water conservation, and building environment management because they have objectives and impacts related to water. Green building design concepts can be applied to the landscape. Based on its purpose, the appropriate site development category, which include landscaping the site and managing rainwater runoff criteria, can be designed using landscape systems. One option for green building design concepts in the landscape and related to water supply is rain gardens. The rain garden practice option is expected to increase stakeholders' understanding of the green building concept in Depok City.
