Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dari hasil survei menunjukkan bahwa pengembangan multmedia interaktif sebagai sarana untuk meningkatkan kompetensi siswa sehingga siswa mampu menyelesaikan masalah matematis masih jarang ada di sekolah. Penelitian juga bertujuan untuk menghasilkan multimedia pembelajaran interaktif yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam memfasilitasi kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMP Juara Pekanbaru pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2019-2020. Jenis data yang diambil dalam penelitian ini adalah data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan teknik angket dan teknik tes dengan instrumen berupa angket validasi, angket praktikalitas dan soal tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis. Data diolah dan dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data statistik deskriptif (untuk uji validitas dan reliabilitas) dan statistik inferensial (untuk uji efektifitas). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa multimedia pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berada pada tingkat kategori sangat valid (83,67%), sangat praktis (83,61% untuk kelompok kecil dan 87,02% untuk kelompok terbatas) dan efektif (dengan rata-rata kelas eksperimen 69,33 dan kelas kontrol 35,61). Kesimpulan yang didapat dari penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan multimedia interaktif berbasis masalah kontekstual yang valid, praktis digunakan siswa serta efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis khusus pada materi himpunan.

Abstract

Kemampuan komunikasi matematis dan gaya kognitif merupakan dua hal yang penting dalam pembelajaran matematika. Begitu juga dengan materi program linier. Ketiga hal ini bisa dimaksimalkan melalui penggunaan buku ajar. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan buku ajar program linier terintegrasi keislaman terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis berdasarkan gaya kognitif. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa soal tes kemampuan komunikasi matematis, soal tes gaya kognitif, angket respon mahasiswa terhadap konten materi keislaman yang terdapat pada buku ajar, angket validasi instrumen soal tes dan angket validasi instrumen angket respon mahasiswa. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji anova dua arah dengan terlebih dahulu melakukan uji normalitas dan homogenitas menggunakan bantuan software SPSS. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa siswa memberikan respon yang positif terhadap penggunaan buku ajar dan kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa field independent lebih baik daripada mahasiswa field dependent, dimana hal ini sejalan dengan konsep bahwa individu field independent lebih analitik dibandingkan individu filed dependent. Kesimpulan yang diperoleh pada penelitian ini yaitu: (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara mahasiswa yang belajar menggunakan buku ajar program linier terintegrasi keislaman dengan mahasiswa yang belajar menggunakan pembelajaran konvensional; (2) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi matematis antara mahasiswa dengan gaya kognitif field dependent dan field independent; dan (3) tidak terdapat interaksi antara penggunaan buku ajar dan gaya kognitif terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis mahasiswa.

Abstract

Salah satu faktor psikologis yang mempengaruhi prestasi belajar matematika adalah tingkat kecemasan yang disebut kecemasan matematis. Penelitian telah menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan ini memiliki dampak negatif pada siswa, terutama prestasi belajar matematika. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan metode pembelajaran yang dapat mengurangi kecemasan matematis siswa. Pada artikel ini secara teoritis dipelajari metode pembelajaran kooperatif untuk mengurangi kecemasan matematis siswa yang berdampak pada peningkatan prestasi belajar matematika. Pembelajaran kooperatif akan menciptakan interaksi dan ketergantungan positif antara siswa dan suasana yang menyenangkan selama belajar sehingga siswa tidak merasa bosan dan cemas selama belajar. Tes lebih lanjut perlu menguji secara empiris dengan berbagai jenis pembelajaran koopeartif dan dampaknya dalam mengurangi tingkat kecemasan matematis siswa.

Abstract

This research aimed at describing the kinds of student Newman’s error in solving problems based on mathematical critical thinking ability of cognitive style and habits of mind. This research was descriptive qualitative research using a case study design. The subjects of this research were 28 students of IX.2 grade at state junior high school 1 Pujud. Test, questionnaire, and interview techniques were used for collecting the data. The instruments used in this research were tests for mathematical critical thinking ability on quadratic functions material, GEFT, questionnaire for habits of mind, and interview. The data were analyzed by using reduction, presentation, conclusion, and verification. The findings of this research showed that 1) the students with FD and FI cognitive styles made errors in processing skills and writing the final answer. 2) The high HoM students made errors in processing skills and writing the final answer. The medium HoM students made errors in processing skills and writing the final answer. The low HoM students made errors in writing the final answers. 3) The high and low HoM of field independent students made errors in writing the final answer, The medium HoM of field independent students made errors in processing skill and writing the final answer, the high and medium HoM of field independent students made errors in processing skill and the low HoM of field independent students made errors in writing the final answer.

Abstract

This research aimed at investigating whether there was or not a difference on mathematical communication ability between students taught by using Search, Solve, Create, and Share (SSCS) learning model and those who were taught by using conventional learning; knowing whether there was or not a difference on mathematical communication ability among students having high, medium, and low prior knowledge in mathematics; and seeing whether there was or not an interaction between students’ prior knowledge in mathematics and SSCS learning model toward their mathematical communication ability. This study is a quasi-experimental study with a posttest-only control group design. The population in this study were all seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Tambang for the 2019/2020 academic year. The sample in this study was class VII.1 as the experimental class and class VII.3 as the control class which was selected using simple random sampling. The data were collected using a test technique in the form of a test instrument for mathematical communication skills and PAM test questions. Analysis of the data used for hypotheses 1, 2 and 3 using a two-way ANOVA test. The results of data analysis show that there are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who follow the SSCS learning model and students who follow conventional learning, there are differences in mathematical communication skills between students who have high, medium and low PAM, and there is no interaction of PAM factors on mathematical communication skills. students at SMP Negeri 3 Tambang.

Abstract

This research aimed to know the effect of implementing a direct learning model with Geogebra on students' mathematic concept comprehension ability derived from their self-efficacy. It was an experimental research with a factorial experimental design. All the eleventh-grade students of pharmacy major at vocational High school of Ikasari Pekanbaru in the academic Year of 2019-2020 were the population of this research. The samples of this research were the eleventh-grade students of Pharmacy 6 as the Experimental group and the students of Pharmacy 2 as the Control group. The Cluster Random Sampling technique was used in this research. The data collection techniques were a test, questionnaire, observation, and documentation. The data collection instruments were the teacher and student observation sheets, mathematic concept comprehension ability pretest and posttest: self-efficacy questionnaire, and documentation. The technique of analyzing the data was two-way ANOVA. Based on the data analysis, it could be concluded that 1) there was a difference in mathematic concept comprehension ability between students taught by using Direct learning model with Geogebra software and those who were taught by using Conventional learning, 2) there was a difference in mathematic concept comprehension ability among students having high, medium, and low self-efficacy, 3) there was no interaction between learning model and self-efficacy toward student mathematic concept comprehension ability. So it could be concluded that implementing the Direct learning model with Geogebra software was affected by students' mathematic concept comprehension ability derived from their self-efficacy.

Abstract

Micro teaching is a compulsory course that must be taken by prospective mathematics teacher students of UIN Bukittinggi. Micro teaching courses train the basic teaching skills of prospective mathematics teachers. One of the lessons that is trained to prospective mathematics teacher students is Islamic integration mathematics learning. The purpose of this study is to describe the perspectives of prospective mathematics teacher students on Islamic integration mathematics teaching that students have practised. This research is a descriptive study with the research subjects are UIN Bukittinggi students who take micro teaching in the sixth semester totalling eleven students. Data were collected using a questionnaire that uses a 1-4 scale. The analysis was carried out using the average formula and then matched against the assessment criteria table. The results of this study are prospective mathematics teacher students have a very good perspective on Islamic integration mathematics learning that has been trained. Islamic integrated mathematics learning is very good in motivating and useful, new learning, interesting, challenging, useful, makes it easier for students to understand mathematical concepts and can add insight to students related to Islamic knowledge.
