Abstract

A manufactured product in the form of a mixture of dissimilar materials (bimetal) must be considered, including: selecting the right metal, selecting the appropriate filler, setting the current and voltage, etc. For this reason, research related to bimetallic welding using Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) was conducted. The aims were to determine the effect of current on the tensile strength of bimetallic welding of low carbon steel and stainless steel 304 using GMAW welding, to determine the effect of voltage on the tensile strength of bimetallic welding, and to determine the effect of the interaction of current and voltage on the tensile strength of bimetallic welding using welding. GMAW. The research method used is experimental where the results of bimetallic welding are tested by the destructive test method. The results showed that current, voltage, and the strong interaction between current and voltage affect the tensile strength of bimetallic welding of low carbon steel and stainless steel 304 using GMAW welding. The use of amperes between 120A-160A and a voltage of 19V-22V gives a small difference and a tensile strength of 300 MPa-330 MPa.

Abstract

Stainless steel material (stainless steel) is used in the home industry and the military industry, and also in the nuclear industry. Steel material is divided into five types, namely austenite, ferrite, martensite, duplex and precipitation hardening. Ferritic stainless steel is an attractive alternative in vehicle production because of its corrosion resistance. Different metals have different characteristics from one another, so the welding process of dissimilar metals requires certain techniques. The purpose of this study is to determine the tensile strength of welds in bimetallic welding between low carbon steel plates and stainless-steel plates and to know the hardness of welds in bimetal welding between low carbon steel plates and stainless-steel plates using GTAW welding. The research method used: this research is part of the testing of technical materials conducted by the destructive test method with the category of science and technology development in the field of Mechanical Engineering. There is a trend of increasing tensile strength, yield strength and hardness of bimetallic welding of low carbon steel plates and stainless-steel plates using GTAW welding, that the greater the welding amperes will increase tensile strength, yield strength and hardness. The highest tensile strength was 41.18 Kg / mm2 and the highest yield strength was 41.16 Kgf / mm2 at 60 amperes and the highest hardness was 571.01 BHN at 55 amperes with the corresponding amperage range from the usage table 45 - 65 amperes. In the HAZ area when compared to the parent material, the HAZ area hardness is higher than the parent material and lower than the weld filler.

Abstract

The purpose of this Community Service is to find the problems faced by the Hidayatullah Group RT.7.RW.17 and the Al Ihlas Group RT.3.RW.17 and at the same time provide appropriate solutions to improve knowledge and capabilities in the operational sector especially the field of entrepreneurship, which starts since before doing activities, with aspects of intentions in entrepreneurship, then during conducting activities, namely in terms of the importance of ethical ethics in entrepreneurship and also given examples of the character of the Prophet Muhammad in trading, quality of service and also selling techniques, which ending with an agreement or better known as a deal and marked with a handshake, so that work does not only benefit, but also gets blessings. Thus this activity can improve the skills of both soft skills and hard skills members. Besides that, the achievement of a sense of peace, comfort and peace in the community was also achieved through the provision of a wheelbarrow (corpse coffin) and the procurement of sacrificial slaughterhouses.The method used is: observation, to observe the activities carried out both in the economic and social fields of religion, then interviews, were explored to find problems and solutions to be offered and simulations, to find the most appropriate alternative for marketing goods to be more effective.An overview of the technology to be applied.1. In the form of lectures: Group participants gathered in a particular room are given lectures on devotion material in the form of, ethics-based entrepreneurship, then handling corpses, making sacrificial animal slaughter tools.2. Guidance and Training: In the form of guidance and training on: entrepreneurship based on practical moral ethics and discussion of experiences and obstacles in the field.3. Simulation practice: In the form of a demonstration of how entrepreneurs offer goods, and how to attract potential customers, until the formation of closing / sales realization and how to handle the body, how to make a qurban slaughter tool,4. Abstract

The strength of material is a parameter to show mechanical material characteristic, which is determined based on the endurance of supporting external force. In materials science, it is know as the various meanings of strength based on how far external force causes the impact on the material. Resin material is a polymer produced by chemical industry and is used in various applications, among other are packing, textile (example: rope, thermal clothing, and carpet), while banana stalk which contain water has not been used in engineering. The mixture of banana stalk fiber with catalyst resin is called composite. Composite is a solid material produced by the combination between two or more diffrent materials to obtain better characteristic which cannot be obtained from every component.Testing method of composite is done by being pressed with long , thick, wide size based on the standard. The up and down part of the material is clamped and then the testing instrument pulls the tested object so that can show maximum pulling power of 10.2 x 105 kg/m2 with a speed of 100 mm/minute.

Abstract

Salah satunya hal terpenting untuk meningkatkan keamanan, khususnya bagi warga di kawasan RW 04 Kelurahan Wonokoyo Kecamatan Kedungkandang Kota Malang adalah penerangan. Instalasi lampu penerangan jalan umum masih minim, sehingga jauh dari memenuhi standar keselamatan. Dengan kondisi seperti diuraikan diatas, maka guna menjamin ketersediaaan lampu penerangan jalan yang aman dan bisa diandalkan, dilakukan pelatihan pembuatan lampu penerangan jalan umum (PJU) bertenaga surya di RW 04 Kelurahan Wonokoyo Kecamatan Kedungkandang Kota Malang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan meliputi: survey lokasi, identifikasi dan solusi masalah, perencanaan kegiatan, perhitungan kebutuhan bahan dan peralatan, pelatihan pembuatan tiang lampu PJU bertenaga surya dan pemasangannya. Hasil kegiatan antara lain peningkatan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan warga di bidang fabrikasi dan instalasi lampu PJU bertenaga surya, terpasangnya 2 buah Lampu PJU Bertenaga Surya, menggunakan lampu LED 60 W bertegangan DC 12V, Panel Surya 50 WP, Solar Charger ontroller kapasitas maks 10 A, dan Baterai VRLA 65 Ah, yang berdampak pada peningkatan keamanan lingkungan dan aktivitas warga pada malam hari di lingkungan RW 04 Kelurahan Wonokoyo Kecamatan Kedungkandang Kota Malang.

Abstract

Dalam pembelajaran di bidang Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) pada kelas 4, 5, dan 6 SD tertulis tentang kompetensi dasar yaitu menunjukkan perilaku ilmiah. Beberapa permasalahan untuk mewujudkan perilaku ilmiah dalam pembelajaran IPA yaitu terbatasnya alat peraga praktikum di sekolah mitra. Disamping itu pengetahuan guru tentang pemanfaatan energi matahari masih kurang serta belum tersedianya trainer/alat peraga pembelajaran sel surya beserta modul praktikumnya yang sesuai dengan siswa Sekolah Dasar. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah menyediakan alat peraga dengan sentuhan teknologi terkini sehingga dapat meningkatkan kapasitas pembelajaran siswa khususnya tentang pemanfaatan energi matahari menggunakan sel surya. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian meliputi: (a) Survey lapangan di lokasi SD Negeri Bareng 3 Kota Malang, (b) Pembuatan Prototype Trainer Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS), (c) Pelatihan dan supervise kepada guru pengampu pelajaran IPA kelas 4, 5, dan 6 SD Negeri Bareng 3 Kota Malang. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian adalah (a) Pengadaan Prototipe Trainer Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) 500 Watt AC, (b) Peningkatan pengetahuan guru pengampu pelajaran IPA kelas 4, 5, dan 6 tentang pemanfaatan energi matahari dengan mengunakan sel surya serta pengoperasian PLTS, (c) Pengoperasian Pembangkit Listrik Tenaga Surya (PLTS) 500 Watt AC sebagai pemasok daya penerangan halaman Sekolah SD Negeri Bareng 3 Kota Malang di malam hari.

Abstract

Abstrak: UMKM Anugerah Abadi yang memproduksi bumbu marinasi mengalami kendala dalam proses produksinya dimana keterbatasan alat yang digunakan masih manual dan SDM yang masih dilakukan oleh anggota keluarga saja. Disisi lain sudah mulai banyak pemesanan produknya dari luar kota. Program Pengabdian Pada Masyarakat (PPM) mempunyai tujuan untuk melakukan efisiensi proses produksi dengan penerapan teknologi mesin pencampur bumbu otomatis pada UMKM Anugerah Abadi. Metode yang digunakan yaitu dengan substitusi iptek teknologi tepat guna dengan lima tahapan meliputi observasi, pembuatan mesin, penyerahan mesin, training pengoperasian mesin, dan evaluasi. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah UMKM Anugerah Abadi dengan melibatkan lima karyawan atau anggota keluarganya. Hasil PPM ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kuantitas produksi sebesar 333% yaitu menjadi 20 kg per jam dari awalnya 6 kg per jam dan kualitas produk campuran bumbu menjadi lebih merata karena adanya internal tip fin dalam tabung mesin. Serta mitra telah mendapatkan pengetahuan cara mengoperasikan dan merawat mesin beserta manual booknya.Abstract: UMKM Anugerah Abadi, which produces marinade seasoning, experiences problems in its production process where the limitations of the tools used are still manual and human resources are still only carried out by family members. On the other hand, there are many orders for their products outside the city. This Community Service Activity (PPM) aims to increase the efficiency of the production process by applying automatic seasoning mixing machine technology to Anugerah Abadi UMKM. The method used was technology and science substitution with five stages: observation, machine manufacture, machine handover, machine operation training, and evaluation. Partners in this service activity were UMKM Anugerah Abadi involving five of their staff or family members. The results of this PPM activity showed an increase in production quantity by 333%, namely to 20 kg per hour from the initial 6 kg per hour, and the quality of the mixed seasoning product became good due to the internal tip fins in the machine tube. As well as the partners have gained knowledge on how to operate and maintain the machine along with the manual book.

Abstract

Welding using dissimilar metals is a new phenomenon in the industrial world. Some studies have already addressed dissimilar metal welding, but they are limited to variations in welding current strength and voltage. None have yet explored welding travel speed, mainly due to the difficulty in controlling it in manual welding. Because of this background, the researcher conducted a study on welding by varying the travel speed. The aim of this research is to elucidate the influence of travel speed on tensile strength in dissimilar metal welding using MIG robotic welding. The study involved joining dissimilar metals, namely low carbon steel and stainless steel (SS 304), using the MIG Robotic Welding process with travel speed variations of 50 cm/second, 60 cm/second, and 70 cm/second. The welding results were then subjected to tensile testing and macrostructure observation of the fracture surfaces. The research findings indicate that the highest tensile strength was achieved at a travel speed of 50 cm/minute, with a maximum tensile strength of 839.8879 MPa.
