Abstract

Diabetes Mellitus is a disease characterized by blood glucose levels above 90-120 mg/dl. A person suffering from Diabetes Mellitus must carry out routine control for the rest of his life to control blood sugar and prevent complications. Family support is important during the treatment period. One form of support is giving motivation to comply with routine controls. The aim of the study was to determine the relationship between family support and adherence to routine control of DM sufferers at the Kalibagor Health Center. The research method is descriptive correlation (cross sectional) and uses a non-probability sampling technique (total sampling) with 45 respondents participating in prolanis activities. This study used a questionnaire in the form of family support. Using the Spearman rank test, the results of the study included good family support of 88.9% and adherence to routine control of 88.9%. Spearman rank test results with a p-value = 0.000 (p <0.05) with a moderate level of closeness (R = 0.550), which means that there is a significant relationship between family support and compliance with routine control of diabetes mellitus patients at the Kalibagor Health Center. So, it is suggested that respondents adhere to routine control with the help of family support to avoid complications caused by diabetes mellitus. The better the family support, the more obedient the patient is to carry out routine controls.

Abstract

Pulmonary tuberculosis (pulmonary TB) is an infectious disease caused by tuberculosis germs (Mycobacterium tuberculosis). This disease is still a global health problem, one of the efforts to support the success of taking medication is through the role of the Medicine Taking Supervisor (PMO). A medication taking supervisor (PMO) is someone who lives near the sufferer's house or who lives in the same house as the sufferer so he can supervise the sufferer until they actually swallow the medication every day so that drug withdrawal does not occur and this is done voluntarily. This research aims to characteristict of supervisors taking anti-tuberculosis medication in children with tuberculosis at Ajibarang Regional Hospital. This research uses quantitative methods with a descriptive design. The sample involved in this research was 102 respondents taken using total incidental sampling techniques. The research results showed that based on the characteristics of the respondents, the majority were aged 18 - 35 years, 60 respondents (58.8%), 84 respondents (82.4%), 84 respondents (82.4%), 49 respondents (48%), not working at least high school. people (59.8%). The relevance is that if the PMO has a good or supportive role and has training, the cure rate or treatment success will increase. It is hoped that future researchers can carry out further research, by deepening the role of PMO in patients. It is hoped that the Ajibarang Regional Hospital will have PMO competence in order to increase the success rate of pediatric TB treatment at the Ajibarang General Hospital

Abstract

Excessive use of mobile phones can impact children's emotional intelligence development. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the duration of mobile phone use and emotional intelligence among students in grades 4–6 at SD Negeri 2 Kedungwringin. This research employed a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 43 students selected using accidental sampling. Data were collected through a questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability. Data analysis was conducted using the Spearman Rank test. The results showed that the majority of students used mobile phones for a short duration (<2 hours) at 58.1%, moderate duration (2–3 hours) at 27.9%, and excessive duration (>3 hours) at 14.0%. Statistical analysis revealed a significant negative correlation between the duration of mobile phone use and children’s emotional intelligence, with a p-value of 0.010 (<0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.387. This indicates that the shorter the duration of mobile phone use, the better the child's emotional intelligence. The conclusion of this study is that there is a significant relationship between the duration of mobile phone use and the emotional intelligence of students in grades 4–6. Therefore, it is recommended that parents and teachers supervise and regulate children's mobile phone usage to support healthy and optimal emotional development.
