Abstract

The objective of this research is to inspect the consequence of effective SCM in terms of delivery, after-sales services and responsiveness on customer retention along with the mediating role of customer relationship on the Indonesian Pharmaceutical company. 5point Likert scale is used to collect the data. Random sampling technique is used on the 200 respondents from Indonesian medical officers. PLS3 is used to analyze the data. The findings of this concluded aftersales services, deliveries and responsiveness have been positively significant associated to CR and also customer relationship positively influenced on C. retention. The study gives to fill the lack of investigation on the SCM service to the C. retention between general consultants from Indonesian private consulting room.

Abstract

Today,English is very urgently useful for all countries, so this is a good time to increase in any parts of humans’, such as education, economy,social,culture,industry,etc,and all of those parts must be supported as soon as possible.It is because global market for all fields are really available now.It must be moved rapidly.One aspect which has the role in increasing English is tourism.Even now, tourism is shaken by pandemic of covid-19 happened at the end of 2019 and run quickly in the early of 2020 (especially in Indonesia), but after about one year later, the government tried to overcome the situation, so at the early of 2021, tourism sector run slowly and slowly wake up toward to any features related to tourism by still applied the health protocol.            One effort to increase the government income, from the upper authority up to the lower authority,by preparation many tour guides who have very important role because there are many interesting ( tourism) places opened,both private and public sectors.These are really interesting things to gain many tourists to visit them.Day by day, there is a significant increasing in tourism sector and it needs to prepare so many tour guides to welcome the tourists.To overcome this situation, it must be available of local citizens as the human’s resources to master English. Short English course for the women covered as PKK group in Kolongan country, Tomohon District is a good way also to anticipate this one.            The short practical English course used the methods such as, explanation, discuss, question and answer,and direct practice of English, so the members could be increased their capability both in theory and especially in practice (more focus on speaking skill).This course aimed to support learning Englih materials effectively.Also, this activity as an applied activity for society at Kolongan country, Tomohon District could run well whenever and wherever they are.

Abstract

The research explores hesistation Noises Used suggested by McManis, et al (1988). The goals of the of the analysis are to know the hesistation noises used by the speaker and to find out  speaker meaning and intention by using those hestitation noises.The research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data analyzed by using pragmatic approach. The speaker uses hesistation noises :  Uh, Umm, Ehm, Uh-uh, and Uh. The speakers use those hesistation noises to show uncertainty and fear, thinking, feeling clumsy and confused, agreement or understanding, and recalling.

Abstract

The research analyzes recognation and laudation for Face Saving Act suggested by Leech (1993) dan Yule (1996). The goal of the of the analysis is to give a description of the intention of the speaker or speaker meaning when giving recognation and laudation all at once. This study analyzes whether the laud is used to avoid threats to one's self-image or vice versa. The research uses a qualitative descriptive method. The data analyzed by using pragmatic approach. The speakers, Professor Slughorn, Mrs. Weasley, and Ron Weasley used utterances catrgorized as Recognation and Laudation for Face Saving Act to reveal that recognation and laudation can be used to avoid possible threats to one's self-image. Those utterances of Recognation and Laudation for Face Saving Acti spoken by Professor Slughorn, Mrs. Weasley, Ron Weasley and Harry Potter are used to change the positive self-image from the perceived negative self-image thought by the hearer in this conversation.

Abstract

The shift of Indonesian Language to Foreign Languages also applies to the labeling of selling products in Indonesia. Economic actors have the choice of maintaining Indonesian language or using foreign language when labeling the product they are going to sell. This study aims to see the language attitude of economic actors towards the products to be marketed. In addition, this study was conducted to see the number of foreign and Indonesian languages used in the country when labeling the products they sell. This research method uses descriptive methods to make descriptions, descriptions, or paintings systematically, factually and accurately. The result obtained is that economic actors prefer to label products in foreign languages rather than Indonesian. From the data found, there are 50 product labels. There are 33 domestic products labeling their products in foreign terms and only 17 domestic products label their products in Indonesian terms.

Abstract

The research entitled “Discourse Marker Well in Debate Night in America Interview Program.” The objectives of this research are to analyze and describe two types and two functions of discourse marker well which occur in Debate Night in America Program. This marker that frequently occurs in the program demonstrates a special sort of discourse marker well in particular news interviews. This study uses description method to analyze the research. Pragmatic is used to approach the analysis, which is mainly developed by Schiffrin (1987). He called discourse markers as linguistics expressions, which can be a word or phrase. The results of this study show ten discourse markers well that frequently occur in Debate Night in America Program. In term of functions, the frequently marker proposes various functions. The marker serves its own function in guiding the hearer and the audience to interpret the intended meaning of the speaker. In addition, the functions of discourse marker well provide particular purpose by the speaker in order to influence and attract the voters. The function analyzed in the use of discourse marker well is to show agreement and disagreement.

Abstract

This research aimed to identified, classified and analyzed the types and functions of figurative language that used in a movie entitled Me Before You. In conducted this research, the writer used a descriptive qualitative method. The data was gathered from character interactions in a form of movie script. As a result, 28 data of figurative language in the movie was found, the writer used the theory that was proposed by McArthur (1992) in analyzed and classified the type of figurative language, there are 4 data that classified as simile type, 1 datum as a metaphor type, 19 data as hyperbole type, 4 data as personification type and there is no data found that has repetition type of figurative language. Referred to the theory of figurative language functions that was proposed by Perrine (1969), in this research, the writer found that there are 12 data of figurative language served to afford imaginative pleasure, 8 data found functioned to bring an additional imagery, 3 data found to add emotional intensity and 5 data found of figurative language in the movie served to say much in brief.

Abstract

This research has the purpose of investigating intralingual errors in English Language and Literature students’ research proposals. This research is in the form of qualitative which designate the result in the form of words. The data comes from English Language and Literature students’ research proposals that were presented in research proposal seminars along the year of 2021. In administering this research, error analysis technique was implemented in order to discover the intralingual errors. The result of the study explains that the students made a total of 192 intralingual errors which are classified into 27 errors in overgeneralization, 20 errors in ignorance of rules restriction, 82 errors in incomplete application of rules and 63 errors in false concept hypothesized. It can be concluded that the intralingual errors occurred because the students did not fully understand the rules of English grammar.

Abstract

Tenses are the bases in learning English. Whether we agree or not learning tenses is recommended for students to master English. Students at SMK Cokroaminoto Kotamobagu still find tenses difficult. That is the main reason of the researcher to conduct this research. This research aims at finding out whether color symbols is effective or not for students to learn tenses, in paricular Simple Past Tense. This is a pre-experimental research with pre and post - tests design. There are 13 tenth-grade students involved in this research. Pre-test and post-test were used in obtaining the data. The data in this research were analyzed statistically using mean score formula. The result of this study shows that the scores of Post-Test’s is higher than those of Pre-Test. The researcher could say that there is significant difference in the students’ understanding about Tenses by using Color Symbols. These results led to a conclusion that Color Symbols are considered effective to improve students’ ability to understand Simple Past Tense.
