Abstract

The research was conducted to develop a music model based on local wisdom. Through this article, researchers at Cikondang village, Pangalengan, West Java. The research problem was that, along with the changing times, the next generation tended to ignore the values of local wisdom. So that through music learning, the values of art could be understood and actualized in everyday life. Music (nembang and ngabeluk) became a medium to express values in pupuh verses, which contained wawacan about the relationship between man and their God; man and others; and man and their surroundings. The data collection was done using observation, interview, and literature review then analyzed with the music education approach. The obtained results reveal that the learning process of seni beluk in Cikondang Village has taken place in the context of community education, which is done informally, and formed naturally. There is no invitation or coercion from the elders to the next generation to learn this art form. Meanwhile, for people from the next generation who has a passion for learning, the learning steps do not only train their techniques, but they also learn about the values ingrained in the pupuh verses.

Abstract

This article describes music’s role in social interactions carried out by female members of the Marawis group Sirojul Ummah. The Marawis music is the medium they use in their efforts to convey Islamic knowledge and understanding, both for this group itself and for the surrounding community. The research method used is qualitative, in which data are collected from observations, interviews, and literature review, while the technique in analyzing data is done through a contextual approach. Social interaction in this study is viewed from the associative and dissociative aspects in the form of actions that include rational instrumental action, value rational action, effective action, and traditional action. Music is present in each of these actions. Music is both a subject and an object in social interaction, both in-groups, and out-groups. The associative and dissociative aspects of in-groups can be seen from how musical ideas and performances are developed and honed through practice activities. This activity is carried out because good musical performance is supported by techniques and methods of singing, playing, and presenting musical articulation, ornamentation, and harmonization. At the same time, the associative and dissociative aspects of out-groups can be seen from their activities in filling out events in society. The interaction process is built-in pleasant and informal situations which are shaped by an interest in music and family relationships. Since childhood, they have known each other; thus, they understand the characteristics of each person. Maturity, the maturity of thinking, and acting tend to avoid emotional conflicts that may occur. In this context, music is not only a medium for interaction, but can be a motivation in building these interactions.

Abstract

Artikel ini mendeskripsikan hasil penelitian tentang implementasi pembelajaran mandiri dalam meningkatkan keterampilan memainkan terompet. Melalui implementasi ini diharapkan dapat membuka sudut pandang pada sisi lain (selain mempraktikan teknik-teknik) berkaitan dengan keberhasilan belajar. Implementasi pembelajaran mandiri telah memberikan dampak yang diharapkan terhadap proses pembelajaran. Peserta mampu menunjukkan cara berpikir kritis dalam meningkatkan keterampilannya melalui rutinitas praktik-praktik mandiri dengan fokus pada spesifikasi yang harus dipelajari, serta mengoptimalkan waktu dalam mempelajari setiap materi. Melalui proses yang terorganisir, dapat memberikan pemahaman kepada peserta dalam membangun aspek-aspek fisik (pernapasan, embouchure, lidah, dan penjarian) dan aspek-aspek musikal (warna suara, intonasi, artikulasi, dinamika, dan durasi) sebagai penunjang teknik-teknik memainkan terompet.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mendeskripsikan materi apa saja yang dipakai, bagaimana tahap-tahap pelatihannya, serta hasil dari pelatihan yang dilakukan pada pelatihan marching band Gita Bahana Juang Karawang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif melalui pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui kegatan observasi, wawancara, studi dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Adapun temuan yang didapatkan dari hasil penelitian ini diantaranya adalah (1) materi yang digunakan dari proses penelitian yang terdiri dari materi pengenalan notasi balok, dan materi pemanasan untuk instrumen perkusi, instrumen PIT, dan instrumen tiup; (2) tahap pelatihannya meliputi pengenalan notasi balok dengan menerapkan metode ceramah, pengaplikasian notasi balok terhadap alat musik menggunakan metode demonstrasi, praktik memainkan alat dengan menggunakan metode drill dan metode tutor sebaya, serta melakukan latihan gabungan menggunakan metode tutor sebaya; (3) hasil dari pelatihan tersebut secara keseluruhan anggota dapat menguasai materi yang disampaikan dengan baik. Marching band Gita Bahana Juang Karawang merupakan organisasi pendidikan musik non formal yang memberikan dampak perubahan bagi anggota dalam hal musikal dan sosial. Dalam hal musikal, setidaknya anggota bisa memahami teknik membaca notasi balok dan teknik memainkan musik. Sedangkan dalam hal sosial, anggota dapat berinteraksi satu sama lain, oleh karena itu pelatihan marching band tidak akan lepas dari hubungan sosial.Kata Kunci : Pelatihan, marching band

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan materi, metode, dan hasil dari pembelajaran battery percussion pada ekstrakurikuler marching band di SMPN 2 Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang diterapkan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dengan cara observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi dan triangulasi untuk menguji kredibilitas data yang diperoleh. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Juni hingga bulan Juli 2019 bertempat di SMPN 2 Cimahi. Adapun sumber data dari penelitian ini diperoleh dari kegiatan pembelajaran battery percussion pada ekstrakurikuler marching band di SMPN 2 Cimahi serta beberapa narasumber yang berkaitan dengan penelitian. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh temuan materi-materi pembelajaran battery percussion diantaranya adalah pengenalan alat, teori musikal battery percussion, pemanasan badan, teknik memegang stik, rudiment, teknik pukulan, pola latihan dasar, dan membaca notasi balok. Berdasarkan kajian, materi-materi yang diajarkan telah sesuai dengan tujuan pembelajaran, relevan dengan kebutuhan siswa, mengandung segi-segi etik, dan tersusun dalam ruang lingkup dan urutan yang logis tetapi tidak bersumber dari buku. Metode pembelajaran yang diterapkan pengajar dalam pembelajaran battery percussion adalah metode ceramah, metode demonstrasi, metode imitasi, metode tutor sebaya, dan metode drill. Hasil dari pembelajaran battery percussion dapat dikatakan cukup baik meskipun masih terdapat kekurangan. Hal tersebut tidak terlepas dari penyusunan materi yang baik dan penerapan metode yang variatif sehingga mempermudah peserta didik memahami dan menguasai materi yang diajarkan.

Abstract

Skripsi ini berjudul “PELATIHAN NASYID PADA KEGIATAN EKSTRAKURIKULER DI SMP DAARUT TAUHIID BOARDING SCHOOL BANDUNG” didasari oleh alasan kurangnya jam pelajaran seni budaya disekolah untuk meningkatkan minat dan bakat siswa dalam bidang nasyid sehingga lahirlah pelatihan dalam program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler yang dapat menghasilkan siswa-siswa berprestasi dan mengharumkan nama sekolah. Pelatihan ekstrakurikuler nasyid memaparkan dan mendeskripsikan permasalahan tentang program, proses pelatihan yang mengimplementasikan teknik vokal nasyid, serta hasil pelatihan ekstrakurikuler nasyid. Metode yang digunakan yakni deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, serta dokumentasi. Temuan hasil penelitian menunjukan program kegiatan ekstrakurikuler nasyid. Proses pelatihan berupa perencanaan, pelaksanaan, penutup. Hasil dari proses pelatihan nasyid tumbuhnya nilai-nilai religious, beriman dan bertaqwa, berakhlaq mulia, menghormati guru, semangat untuk beribadah serta berdakwah melalui seni.Kata kunci: Pelatihan, Nasyid, Ekstrakurikuler

Abstract

This study aims to describe the perceptions of TPACK integration among high school music teachers in Bandung, West Java province, Indonesia. This study used mixed-methods with a sequential explanatory design. The research subjects consist of 19 respondents. In the first phase, quantitative data were obtained through questionnaires and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical techniques. In the second phase, in an effort to explore the results of the questionnaire, qualitatively conducted interviews as well as observations. The findings of this study showed that integration of each TPACK domain in music teaching was perceived as high confidence. Each domain, from one to another, positively correlated with varied interpretations. Demographic characteristics, both gender and tenure, did not show contrasting differences in confidence. This perception is the impact of the teacher education process that has been experienced, involvement in a number of trainings that have been followed, support from stakeholders in the procurement and enrichment of educational and technological resources, and the dynamics of the times that force them to be adaptive and innovative towards technological developments.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the orienting, implementing, and assessing aspects constructed by music teachers in optimizing AI-powered music creation social media to amplify learning content. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through focus group discussions (FGDs) and documentation studies. The data analysis technique used the Miles and Huberman model with the stages, 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, 3) data presentation, 4) conclusion drawing/verification. Data validity used triangulation techniques, including source and technical triangulation. The results show that, orientatively, the experience of interacting with technological advances and social dynamics has shaped the respondents' knowledge and understanding, not only on various types and functions, but also in determining the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats of the platform. Implementatively, in line with the values of music education, the integration of a platform that amplifies content into learning is used to engage students' creative dimensions where cognitive, affective, and psychomotor are bound to the ethical principles of AI use and aesthetic criteria of music. By assessment, the involvement of peer teachers and students provided an important drive in establishing effectiveness, impact, and support from stakeholders. This study recommends that the development of AI used in creation is a new challenge for music teachers in strengthening the integrity of their professionalism. The utilization of these tools and resources makes it easier for them to be creative in clarifying and emphasizing the elements of musical sound to build effective and valuable learning.

Abstract

Keterampilan membaca not merupakan salah satu hal penting bagi siapapun yang hendak menyelami dunia musik. Setiap keterampilan tentunya dapat dilatih dan semakin dini pelatihan diberikan maka akan semakin baik pula hasil yang diperoleh. Kendati demikian, kondisi pembelajaran jarak jauh menyulitkan setiap guru seni budaya untuk melatihkan keterampilan ini. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang sangat marak digunakan di era PJJ adalah media video. Penelitian ini ditujukan untuk melihat pengaruh penggunaan media video dalam melatih keterampilan membaca not peserta didik. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan metode kuantitatif non eksperimental jenis komparatif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan langkah kerja; perumusan masalah, kajian literatur, perencanaan penelitian, uji hipotesa dan penarikan kesimpulan. Adapun subyek penelitian dalam tulisan ini adalah keterampilan membaca not siswa kelas VIIA SMPK BPK Penabur Cimahi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data meliputi; lembar observasi, form pre-tes dan form pos-tes. Analisis data dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan menggunakan uji t-berpasangan dengan membandingkan keterampilan membaca not sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran menggunakan media video-audio. Melalui uji t-Berpasangan didapati peningkatan rerata hitung keterampilan membaca not setelah subyek diberikan perlakuan. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan nilai sebesar 0.31618875 pada korelasi pearson yang menunjukkan jika media video-audio memberi pengaruh yang cukup erat terhadap peningkatan keterampilan membaca not pada peserta didik.Kata kunci : Keterampilan Membaca not, Media Video, Kuantitatif-Komparatif
