Abstract

This study is aimed to explore the achievement of mathematical probem solving skill of student in PGSD Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University, and student’s mistake on mathematical problem solving test. This study is a qualitative research and case studies. The subjects were students of the University of Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa PGSD Yogyakarta who have following courses Mathematics Learning Problems in Elementary School. Two classes were randomly selected two as a research subject, the classes C and G. The instrument in this research is a problem solving skill testand interview guidelines. Based on test data KPM then conducted interviews to 11 students. The results showed that the mathematical problem solving skill of students PGSD UST is low. It can be seen from the acquisition of the average class, class C and class G, both of them are in the category low (<68), ie 52.3261 and 55.2340. The percentage of the number of students who are in low category in class C is 95.65%, while class G is also quite large at 87.23%. Only a small proportion of students in the midle category. No one in the high category. Most of the student are in understanding of the problem level (65.12%), followed by the strategic planning (46.93%), carry out the completion strategy (32.08%), and the least is the stage of the re-examination (7.7%) , Mistakes made by students on problem solving skill test are incorrect data, the response level conflict, the problem of hierarchy of skills, the procedure is not appropriate, and the missing conclusion

Abstract

This study aims to describe student learning outcomes through quizzes and assignments on e-learning edmodo in the covid-19 pandemic era. This study also aims to determine the implementation of learning through edmodo by utilizing features in edmodo such as uploading material, videos, poll, quiz, and assignment. The subjects of this study were the second semester student’s elementary school education program of the Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University who were taking elementary school mathematics classes. The instrument used was in the form of multiple choice questions, essay, and true false statements. The results obtained by the 2D class obtained an average quiz score of 78.81 and an average grade of 72.85; Class 2E obtained an average quiz score of 83.14 and an average grade of 70.23; and grade 2I obtained an average quiz score of 92.23 and an average grade of assignments of 73.12. Student learning outcomes in all three classes namely 2D, 2E and 2I are included in both categories so that learning using edmodo can be implemented well and can further be modified with other e-learning platforms.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the use of a liveworksheet in optimizing the assessment of flipped classrooms in elementary school. This research used a descriptive qualitative approach. This research instrument was a questionnaire. The subjects of this study were 100 teachers from various regions in Indonesia. The results of the study stated that 96% of respondents stated that the liveworksheet media was interesting to use in learning, 91% of respondents said that the liveworksheet could be adjusted to the needs of students at elementary school age. As many as 82% of respondents stated that the use of a liveworksheet could be used for authentic assessment, and 76% of respondents stated that it was easy to use it in learning. Based on this, it could be said that the liveworksheet could be used as an alternative to an online-based assessment tool that was attractive, interactive, easily-accessible, and presented a variety of activities that could be tailored to the characteristics of students

Abstract

Critical thinking skill is important to be developed in students as this skill has an important role in understanding problems. Critical thinking skills can be improved through the Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) approach as it prioritizes the process of doing mathematics in learning so that students can find mathematical concepts to solve a problem. This study aims to examine the positive effect of the RME approach on the critical thinking skill of Elementary School Teacher Education (PGSD) students at Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa (UST). This quasi-experimental study used the pretest-posttest control group design. It involved 76 students from the PGSD study program at Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa as samples. The number of samples was determined using the cluster random sampling technique. The data were collected by a critical thinking skills test with a total of five pre-test questions and five post-test questions. Then, the data were analyzed using the t-test to test the hypothesis. This study revealed that there is a positive effect of the RME approach on students' critical thinking skills with a significance level of 0.001 < 0.05 which indicates that H0 is rejected so that Ha is accepted.

Abstract

This study aims to describe student learning outcomes through the application of the online learning system (SIPEDAR) during the COVID-19 pandemic and to find out what features are used in learning through SIPEDAR such as assignment (assignment), attendance (presence), bigbluebottonBN, choice, databases, external tools, feedback, forums, glossaries, quizzes, chats, quizzes, lessons, scrom packages, surveys, workshops, books, files, folders, IMS content packages, labels, pages, and URLs. This type of research is qualitative research. The subjects in this study were third semester students who took Mathematics at Elementary School Class High in the elementary school teacher education study program at Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. The instruments used were in the form of multiple choice questions, true false statements, and descriptions. The results of the study were the average quiz score and the average assignment score in class 3A, namely 83.27 and 72.90. The average quiz score and the average assignment score in the 3F class were 83.56 and 70.67. Student learning outcomes in both classes are included in the good category so that learning using SIPEDAR is carried out well and can be modified with other e-learning platforms.

Abstract

The aims of this study are: (1) To examine the extent to which students' motivation to learn mathematics is in third grade at SDN Sumber Jaya. (2) To test the extent to which mathematics learning uses interactive PowerPoint media for third-grade students of SDN Sumber Jaya. This type of research is experimental research. The research design used is a Quasi-Experimental Design with the form of a Nonequivalent Control Group. The research subjects were 88 students, which were divided into 3 classes, namely class IIIA with 30 students (experimental class), class IIIB with 30 students (control class), and class IIIC with 28 students (test questionnaire). Data collection techniques used were observation and questionnaires for learning motivation data. The results of the student learning motivation questionnaire were analyzed using a t-test or Independent Samples T-Test, which previously had known normality and homogeneity. In the experimental class, the pre-test average of learning motivation for the experimental class was 93.37 and the control class was 95.07. For the post-test average of the experimental class's learning motivation was 111.39 and the control class was 106.05. In the pre-test normality test, the experimental class's learning motivation was 0.115 and the post-test of the experimental class's learning motivation was 0.114. It can be seen from the significance level of Shapiro-Wilk is more than 0.05, which indicates that the pre-test and post-test data on the learning motivation of the experimental class are normally distributed. Meanwhile, the pre-test of learning motivation for the control class was 0.020 and the post-test for the motivation for learning for the control class was 0.100. It is normally distributed because the significant value on the Shapiro-Wilk is more than 0.05. The results of the homogeneity test of learning motivation with a significant value of 0.75 which means that it is greater than 0.05. It can be concluded that the pre-test and post-test data on the learning motivation of the experimental class and the control class have the same variance. The results of the learning motivation hypothesis test or t-test showed that the significant value was 0.000 <0.05. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, it can be concluded that the use of interactive PowerPoint media affects the motivation to learn mathematics in third-grade students of SD Negeri Sumber Jaya.

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe mathematics self-regulated learning of elementary school teacher education students. This type of research used qualitative approach. The subject research is taken from 2nd semester student’s primary school teacher education of 2020 academic year. Instrument used in this research is questionnaire. The questionnaire is used to know the student's self-regulated in mathematics learning with six factors namely (a) independence of others, (b) have self-confidence, (c) behaving dicipline, (d) having a sense of responsibility, (e) behaving based on their own initiative, and (f) perform self-control. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that self-regulated learning though edmodo is in the high category.
