Abstract

Penelitian ini bersifat pengembangan dan bertujuan untuk membuat media pembelajaran matematika berbasis materi SPLDV pada siswa kelas VIII SMP Muhammadiyah 1. Kerangka teori penelitian ini dilandaskan pada melemahnya keinginan belajar matematika siswa akibat dari kehilangan pembelajaran akibat pandemi COVID-19. Setelah meneliti respon siswa terhadap metode pembelajaran yang ada , kami menemukan bahwa siswa memerlukan model pembelajaran yang asikdan tidak membosankan ketika belajar di kelas. Maka, sangat penting untuk menyediakan materi pendidikan yang merangsang keinginan belajar siswa. Metodologi ADDIE yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari lima tahap (analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi). Oleh karena itu, penelitian yang dijelaskan di dalam artikel ini sampai pada tahap evaluasi.

Abstract

In an educational context, especially in mathematics learning, emotional intelligence can play a significant role in how students face challenges, deal with stress, and interact with classmates and teachers. Students with high emotional intelligence tend to have better strategies for managing their feelings, which can help them stay focused, motivated, and more open to learning. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a correlational approach, namely research that determines the relationship between two or more variables with a symmetrical relationship. The quantitative descriptive method is a research method that aims to describe a situation objectively using numbers. Thus, there is a significant positive relationship between emotional intelligence and the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Al-maksum Balunganyar. These results are shown by Fcount Ftable, namely 3.24 2.48. The R2 value is 0.0939.3%, this can be stated that the contribution of emotional intelligence to the mathematics results of grade 5 students at SD Al-maksum Balunganyar is 9.3%, the rest is influenced by other factors. The prerequisite test shows that the two variables are normally distributed . Using simple regression, a significant positive relationship was found between emotional intelligence and the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SD Al-maksum Balunganyar at 9.3%.

Abstract

Matematika memiliki kontribusi yang sangat besar dalam kehidupan manusia, karena diterapkan dalam berbagai aspek ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Salah satu aspek penting dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah komunikasi matematis, yaitu cara siswa menyampaikan dan memahami gagasan matematika secara lisan, tertulis, maupun melalui media lain seperti gambar, tabel, diagram, rumus, dan demonstrasi. Untuk itu, kemampuan komunikasi matematis yang baik sangat penting bagi siswa. Selain itu, literasi digital juga menjadi keterampilan yang sangat penting di era digital ini. Literasi digital mencakup kemampuan untuk memanfaatkan, mengevaluasi, dan menerapkan informasi yang diperoleh dari sumber digital dengan cara yang aman dan efektif. Hal ini tidak hanya melibatkan keterampilan dalam menggunakan perangkat teknologi, tetapi juga kemampuan untuk mengeksplorasi dan menyaring informasi secara kritis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif untuk menggambarkan bagaimana teknologi digital dapat mendukung pembelajaran matematika dan bagaimana literasi digital berperan dalam proses ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa teknologi digital memiliki peran yang sangat signifikan dalam pembelajaran matematika, namun variasi kemampuan literasi digital siswa menunjukkan bahwa hanya menyediakan akses ke teknologi saja tidak cukup untuk menjamin keberhasilan pembelajaran. Dibutuhkan pendekatan yang lebih terarah dan terstruktur untuk membantu siswa meningkatkan kemampuan literasi digital mereka, agar dapat memanfaatkan teknologi secara efektif. Dengan dukungan yang memadai, siswa diharapkan dapat memaksimalkan pemahaman dan penerapan konsep matematika melalui pemanfaatan teknologi secara optimal.

Abstract

Salah satu masalah krusial dalam dunia pendidikan adalah sulitnya siswa memahami matematika. Banyak siswa yang menganggap bahwa matematika adalah pelajaran yang sulit untuk dipelajari. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan minat dan pemahaman siswa terutama pada mata pelajaran yang dianggap sulit seperti matematika adalah dengan menggunakan permainan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X di SMKN 1 Pasuruan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kebutuhan akan media permainan dalam pembelajaran matematika dan mengimplementasikan media permainan “Memorize Math Squidward”. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif, kemudian analisis data yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini mengacu pada model Miles dan Huberman, yaitu (1) reduksi data; (2) penyajian data; (3) verifikasi/penarikan kesimpulan. Temuan dari penelitian ini adalah 95,7% siswa tertarik untuk menggunakan media permainan dalam pembelajaran matematika, dengan 98,6% siswa setuju jika guru menerapkan media permainan dalam pembelajaran matematika untuk meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa, serta 98,6% siswa merasa senang jika pembelajaran matematika dibantu dengan media permainan. Salah satu permainan yang dapat diterapkan bersama siswa adalah permainan “Menghafal Matematika Squidward”.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the mathematics learning outcomes of students in grade VIII of SMP Negeri 4 Pasuruan are different from students taught by the Polya problem-solving method. This study was conducted using a quasi-experimental plan with the Non-Equivalent Control Group model. There were 28 students in class a who received treatment through the computational thinking approach and 23 students in class B who received treatment through the Polya approach. The initial test, or pretest, and the final test, or posttest, on the data centering material are research tools. Because the data was not normally distributed, the data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test to establish a difference between the pretest and posttest scores in each group. In addition, the Mann-Whitney U test is used to compare posttest scores between groups. The results of the Mann-Whitney U test showed that there was a significant difference between the two groups. Based on indicators of learning outcomes, accuracy, systematics, numeracy skills, problem identification, and reflection, students taught with a computational thinking approach showed an improvement compared to the Polya group. Research shows that the thinking approach is more effective in encouraging systematic, analytical, and strategic ways of thinking. The results show that computational thinking is effective in mathematics learning to improve students' problem-solving abilities.

Abstract

This research aims to improve the mathematics learning outcomes of Grade VII B students at SMP Darul Ulum 5 Rebalas through the implementation of Madurese language-based ethnomathematics. The study is motivated by the students' difficulties in understanding mathematical concepts delivered in formal Indonesian, as their daily communication relies on the specific Madurese dialect of Rebalas Village. This study employs the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method using the Kemmis and McTaggart model, conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were 28 students from class VII B. The research instruments included test instruments in the form of group Student Worksheets (LKPD) and observation sheets for both teacher and student activities. The material focused on the topic of Lines and Angles. The results indicated an improvement in student learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, the average group score was 80.2, which increased to 88 in Cycle II. Observations of student activities also showed a shift from passive participation in Cycle I to active and enthusiastic engagement in Cycle II. Furthermore, teacher observations showed significant improvement; initial issues regarding time management and excessive workloads were resolved, resulting in more enthusiastic and punctual teaching delivery. These findings demonstrate that the use of Madurese-based ethnomathematics helps students grasp mathematical terms more easily, increases discussion participation, and creates a more comfortable and interactive classroom atmosphere, thereby leading to improved learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a deep learning-based mathematics e-module with the integration of the context of the Suramadu Bridge in scale and comparison materials for grade VII junior high school students. The development model used is the 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate) model which includes the stage of defining learning needs, designing e-modules, product development, and limited deployment. The research instruments used included validation sheets of media and material experts, observation sheets of teacher and student activities, learning outcome tests, and student response questionnaires. The results of the study showed that the e-modules developed met the valid criteria with a media validity level of 94.29% and material of 95%. In addition, the e-module is considered practical with teacher practicality of 78.67% and students of 86.67%, and effective with a learning effectiveness rate of 83.83%. The students' response to the e-module was also very positive, which showed that the integration of the local context of the Suramadu Bridge and the deep learning approach was able to increase student engagement, learning motivation, and understanding of mathematical concepts in a meaningful way. These findings indicate that local context-based e-modules can be an innovative alternative in mathematics learning that is relevant to students' real lives as well as support the implementation of 21st century learning.

Abstract

Mathematics is often regarded as a difficult subject in school, consequently many students are less interested in learning it. The use of technology can be an alternative to create an interesting and effective of instructional Media. One of the application programs that teachers can choose is Tarsia Formulators. This formulator is a program designed for math teachers to create puzzles, dominoes, and other forms of activity. This paper discusses examples of the application of puzzles created from tarsia formulators in mathematics learning. Learning activities begin by introducing the form of puzzles to be assembled by the students. The teacher gives an explanation of the rules that apply in this lesson. Teacher guides need to be done to make it easier for students who have difficulty. Furthermore, the teacher displays the correct form of the puzzle in comparison to the student's work and provides an explanation of the answer to the problem presented. The tarsia formulators makes it easy for teachers to create effective and varieties instructional media, so students do not feel bored in classroom learning activities.
