Abstract

This research aims to determine the magnitude of verbal bullying at SD Negeri 104206, determine the magnitude of Interpersonal Intelligence at SD Negeri 104206 and the relationship between verbal bullying and interpersonal intelligence of students at SD Negeri 104206 Sei Rotan. This research is a correlational descriptive research. This research was conducted at SD Negeri 104206 Sei Rotan for the 2017/2018 academic year with a population of 188 people and a sample of 128 people. The instrument used was a closed questionnaire for each variable with a Linkert scale. The data analysis tests used are normality, linearity, product moment correlation test and hypothesis significance test. The results of the research show that the level of verbal bullying at SD Negeri 104206 is in the sufficient category, the level of interpersonal intelligence at SD Negeri 104206 is in the sufficient category and there is a positive relationship between verbal bullying and students' interpersonal intelligence. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it can be concluded that the higher the verbal bullying, the higher the student's interpersonal intelligence.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe the effectiveness of the Problem based learning model assisted by flipbook media that can improve students' early reading skills. The method used in this study is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The data collection technique uses observation techniques with observation sheets and early reading test results. The subjects of this study were 25 students of class 1 A of SD Negeri 060858 Medan Tembung. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the process of implementing the problem based learning model assisted by flipbook media can improve the early reading skills of class 1 A students of SD Negeri 060858 Medan Tembung. The increase in early reading skills can be seen from the results of the early reading test carried out in 2 learning cycles. Before the application of the Problem based learning model assisted by flipbook media or pre-cycle, the classical completion results were 16%. In cycle I, classical completion was 40%, while in cycle II, classical completion was 84%.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to improve students' reading and writing skills by implementing the Teaching at The Right Level (TaRL) approach assisted by flipbook learning media. The subjects in this study were 22 students of grade 1 of State Elementary School 060858 Medan. The percentage of students can be seen that there is an increase in the results of students' reading and writing skills from cycle I to cycle II in category group A (Proficient) paragraph level has an increase of 9.1%. The increase in the results of students' reading and writing skills from cycle I to cycle II in category group B (Quite Proficient) Syllable/Word level has an increase of 9.1%. The increase in the results of students' reading and writing skills from cycle I to cycle II in category group C (Need Guidance) Beginner/Letter level has an increase of 18.2%. There was an increase in students' reading and writing skills after being given learning with the Teach at The Right Level (TaRL) approach assisted by flipbook media. Thus, it can be concluded that learning using the Teach at The Right Level (TaRL) approach assisted by flipbook media can improve students' reading and writing skills according to their respective levels of understanding.
