Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi permasalahan karakter siswa kelas V SDN 14 Selayo yang tidak bercirikan karakter (moral dan kinerja) sehingga menjurus menjadi individu-individu yang egosentris dan Individualis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima langkah yaitu: 1) analisis, 2) perancangan, 3) pengembangan, 4) penerapan, dan 5) evaluasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian terhadap lembar validasi ahli materi mendapat skor 81% (sangat baik) dan ahli media 75% (baik). Berdasarkan hasil angket respon guru skor rata-rata yang diperoleh yaitu 70% (baik) artinya produk telah dinilai layak. Hasil uji coba bahan ajar kepada 20 Siswa kelas V SD Negeri 14 Selayo menunjukan respon positif dalam mengikuti pembelajaran. Hal ini terlihat dari hasil analisis angket respon siswa sebesar 100% dan persentase ketuntasan belajar meningkat dari 45% menjadi 90% mencapai ketuntasan. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa bahan ajar PKn berbasis pendidikan abad 21 efektif dalam meningkatkan karakter siswa kelas IV SD.

Abstract

Kurikulum merdeka belajar sudah dilaksanakan di berbagai unit satuan pendidikan di Indonesia mulai dariSD sampai SMA. Fakta di lapangan menyatakan bahwa belum semua pemangku kepentingan memahami tentang implementasi kurikulum merdeka belajar. Oleh karena itu tim pengabdian Jurusan PendidikanGuru Sekolah Dasar Universitas Negeri Padang telah melakukan pengabdian masyarakat di Sanggarkegiatan Belajar (SKB) II Sungai Tarab Kabupaten Tanah Datar, dimana pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk mensosialisasikan kurikulum merdeka belajar bagi guru- guru kesetaraan. Pengabdian ini mendapat respon yang baik dan diapresiasi oleh Kepala SKB II Sungai Tarab. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pengabdian ini adalah sebesar 60 % peserta menyatakan sangat puas dan 30 % peserta meyatakan puas dengan adanya pengabdian ini. Diharapkan melalui kegiatan ini terjalin kerja sama antara pihak universitas dengan pihak SKB untuk mengembangkan kualitas guru demi terciptanya pendidikan yang berkualitas.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out how the Time Token Arends learning model is implemented in speaking skills in elementary schools. This research uses a qualitative approach and qualitative descriptive research methods. This observation was carried out in an elementary school with a class V representative population of 20 students and consisting of 11 female students and 9 male students. The instruments used in the research are divided into 3 parts, namely; observation guide, interview guide and documentation study. The results of this research show that the learning process that has been used so far has been implemented well and smoothly. The Time Token Arends learning model in the learning process in elementary schools is carried out by forming groups, giving group assignments in the form of questions, and all groups are directed to participate in group activities (discussions).

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness of using reading aloud and sustained silent reading strategies on the ability to explain reading content in terms of the opinions/perceptions of high-grade students. This research uses a qualitative approach, with a type of research that is descriptive qualitative. The data collection techniques in this study consisted of (1) an assessment of the ability to explain the content of the reading, (2) interviews with students regarding their perceptions when reading using the reading aloud strategy and sustained silent reading strategy, and (3) documenting the process of reading texts. Based on these data collection techniques, the research instruments used consisted of (1) assessment sheets for the ability to explain reading content, (2) structured interview guide sheets, and (3) documentation of students' reading processes. This research was conducted by Rumbel Azmi Falah Al-mulk, where the research subjects were grade 5 students. The results were based on the student's ability to explain the contents of the reading again and from the interviews that had been conducted related to the comparison between reading aloud and sustained silent reading strategies on the ability to explain the contents. It can be concluded that the sustained silent reading strategy is more effective when used in learning because it makes it easier for students to understand and explain the contents of the reading again.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low utilization of interactive and engaging technology-based learning media in elementary schools, particularly in the subject of Natural and Social Sciences (IPAS). The aim of this study is to develop a Wordwall-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) for the topic of Biodiversity for Grade V students in elementary school. The development of this LKPD employed the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The worksheet was designed to be engaging and interactive by utilizing various features available in the Wordwall application, thereby increasing students’ motivation, involvement, and comprehension during the learning process. The validity of the LKPD was tested by three experts: subject matter expert, language expert, and media expert. The validation results showed that the LKPD received a score of 97.5% from the subject matter expert, 95% from the language expert, and 95% from the media expert. The overall average validation score was 95.8%, which falls under the “valid” category. These results indicate that the developed Wordwall-based LKPD meets the feasibility standards and is suitable for use in classroom learning. Therefore, this developed product is considered appropriate for further field trials and has the potential to serve as an innovative, enjoyable, easily accessible learning media alternative that aligns with students’ learning needs in the evolving digital era.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk berupa e-book pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada materi membaca pemahaman untuk peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE, yang terdiri dari lima tahapan, yaitu Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SDN 13 Batu Gadang dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 24 orang peserta didik kelas IV. Hasil validasi materi memperoleh persentase sebesar 98% yang termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Validasi media menunjukkan tingkat kelayakan yang sangat tinggi dengan persentase sebesar 92%. Validasi bahasa dilakukan oleh ahli kebahasaan untuk memastikan kesesuaian media dengan perkembangan peserta didik Sekolah Dasar, dan memperoleh skor sebesar 96% yang juga termasuk dalam kategori sangat valid. Selain itu, hasil uji praktikalitas dari respon guru memperoleh persentase sebesar 95,83%, sedangkan respon peserta didik mencapai 94,79%. Berdasarkan temuan tersebut, dapat disimpulkan bahwa e-book yang dikembangkan sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia pada materi membaca pemahaman di kelas IV Sekolah Dasar. E-book ini direkomendasikan bagi guru sebagai media pembelajaran digital yang inovatif dan interaktif sesuai dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, serta dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pengembangan media serupa pada mata pelajaran lainnya.

Abstract

Mastery of vocabulary is among the crucial aspects toward supporting the growth of elementary school students’ reading skills. However, in practice, vocabulary learning in second grade of elementary school is still dominated by traditional approaches like using textbooks and lectures, which are less able to attract students’ interest and learning motivation. This condition causes students to experience difficulties in understanding new vocabulary and comprehending the content of reading texts. Therefore, learning innovation is required by utilizing interactive digital media that can produce more captivating educational opportunities. This study intends to produce the Kobar (New Vocabulary) interactive media based on Articulate Storyline for reading instruction of second-grade elementary school students and to analyze its validity level. The ADDIE instructional design model, which was restricted within the phases of analysis, design, and development, was applied in this study’s Research and Development (R&D) process. Observation, interviews, student needs questionnaires, and validation questionnaires, validated by three experts in material, language, and media, were used to collect data. As indicated by the results, the Kobar media received a very valid validity score, including 95% from the material expert, 95% from the language expert, and 100% from the media expert, resulting in an overall average validity of 96.87%. Therefore, the Kobar interactive media is thought to be practical for usage as a teaching tool to enhance second-grade elementary school pupils' vocabulary acquisition and reading comprehension.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the numerous variables influencing the success of online learning in elementary schools and the need to identify the most significant underlying factors. A quantitative design employing Exploratory Factor Analysis (EFA) was used. Data were collected from 108 teachers across four elementary schools (SD Islam Al Azhar 32 Padang, SD Telkom, Yari International School, and SafaMarywa Islamic International School). Initially, 23 variables were identified through a teacher opinion survey; however, validity testing retained 20 variables. Sampling adequacy was confirmed (KMO = 0.819), and Bartlett’s test of sphericity was significant (p = 0.001), indicating suitability for factor analysis. The analysis extracted eight principal factors based on eigenvalues and rotated component matrices: (1) Psychological Readiness and Self-Regulation (3.152), (2) Support for Digital Learning Technology (2.264), (3) Teachers’ Pedagogical and Professional Competence (1.663), (4) Quality of Learning Design and Materials (1.426), (5) Teachers’ Instructional Communication (1.313), (6) Supportive Home Learning Environment (1.303), (7) Technological Capabilities of Teachers and Students (1.054), and (8) Students’ Social and Academic Participation (1.030). These findings highlight that successful online learning in elementary education is multifactorial, integrating psychological, technological, pedagogical, and environmental dimensions. The identified factors provide a structured framework for educators to enhance online learning effectiveness and improve student outcomes.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low level of narrative writing skills among fifth-grade students at SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan in Padang, which was identified through field observations. The difficulties experienced included an inability to compose narrative texts in a coherent manner, unclear story elements, imperfect narrative text structure, and errors in language usage and spelling. To address these issues, this study aims to improve narrative writing skills by implementing the Picture and Picture learning model. The research design used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with a qualitative and quantitative approach, conducted in two cycles encompassing the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through test and non-test techniques, with the research subjects consisting of the homeroom teacher and 15 fifth-grade students at SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan. The research results indicate a significant improvement in various aspects, including the RPPM, which increased from 89,29% (B) to 96,43% (SB), teacher activity, which increased from 87,5% (B) to 97,92% (SB), and student activity, which also increased from 87,5% (B) to 97,92% (SB). Additionally, students’ narrative writing skills improved from 79,07% (C) to 88,75% (B). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the Picture and Picture learning model is effective in improving narrative writing skills among fifth-grade students at SDN 18 Air Tawar Selatan in Padang City.
