Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to produce a handout design for high school biology class XII on growth and development in plants. The research was conducted at FKIP Riau University in November - January 2022. The design of this handout refers to the ADDIE design model which in this research was carried out until the development stage. At the analysis stage, an analysis of the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum was carried out and an analysis of learning materials. The design stage is done by designing learning tools and designing handouts. The design stage is done by designing a syllabus, lesson plans, and handout design consisting of cover, introduction, table of contents, study instructions, (KI, KD, and GPA), introduction, description of the main material, evaluation, and reference sources. This study aims to design biology handouts for class XII KD SMA. 3.1 and 4.1 on the material of growth and development in plants, especially the factors that affect the growth and development of chili seedlings by utilizing phosphate solubilizing bacteria.Key Words: Handout, Learning Media, Chili Seed Growth

Abstract

Abstract : This study aims to design a Pocket Book Of Plants Spermatophyta in high school biology learning Class X Plantae material as one of the learning resources in the form of pocket books. This research was conducted at the Faculty of teacher training and Education, University of Riau in September-December 2021. The foundation in the stages of designing this pocket book is the curriculum analysis stage and the pocket book design stage. The curriculum analysis phase is carried out by reviewing the 2013 curriculum and analyzing learning materials. Pocket book design phase is done by designing the syllabus and lesson plan first then do the pocket book design, where the pocket book design consists of cover, preface, table of contents, curriculum level, usage guide, Introduction, contents, and bibliography. The type of research used is descriptive qualitative where the method used is the survey method. Based on the analysis of the potential there are as many as 26 species of plants spermatophyta in the Arboretum of Riau University that can be used as a pocket book design on the material plantae in biology learning Class X SMA.Key Words : Pocket Book, Learning Media, Spermatophyta Plants

Abstract

The use of tofu waste water using the hydroponic technique of the floating raft system is not well known, so it needs to be done as an innovation. The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of tofu liquid waste fermentation on the growth of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa L var. Red rapids) using the floating raft hydroponic technique. The research was carried out in an experimental stage, namely the effect of tofu liquid waste on the growth of red lettuce (Lactuca sativa L var. Red rapids). This research method is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments and 3 replications. Parameters observed were plant height, leaf width, number of leaves, root length, wet weight and dry weight. The results of the analysis of variance (Anava) at 5% level, the use of tofu liquid waste showed a significant effect on the growth of red lettuce. Giving a concentration of 2.5 liters of tofu liquid waste with 5 liters of water resulted in the best growth of red lettuce.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to determine the types of medicinal plants by inventorying and identifying medicinal plants that are used as traditional medicine by the people of Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. This research is a qualitative research. Data on the types of medicinal plants in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency were obtained through interviews and direct observation at the research location. The data collection instrument was in the form of an interview guide sheet. This research was conducted in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency, Riau for two weeks in early October. Sampling was carried out in 3 countries, namely; The horrors of Benai, Siberakun, Simandolak. The results of the research regarding the inventory of traditional medicinal plant species in Benai District, Kuantan Singingi Regency found as many as 43 types of medicinal plants that were successfully identified which belonged to 27 plant families and will later be used to design a pocket book that can be used as a Biology learning resource.Keywords: Benai District, Biology Learning, Medicinal Plants

Abstract

Abstrak: This research was conducted to determine the application of palm sugar to the organoleptic nata de sago and the design of biotechnology subject matter booklets for class XII high school level. This research was carried out in 2 stages, namely the experimental stage: the effect of palm sugar on the quality of nata de sago and the second stage of booklet design: analysis of the potential for developing teaching materials for biotechnology subject matter for class XII high school students. This study used an experimental method by conducting experiments at the Mathematics and Educational Sciences Education Laboratory (PMIPA), Pekanbaru. Sampling was carried out in a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The parameters in this study were thickness analysis, acidity (pH) analysis, and organoleptic tests. Based on the results of the Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) at the 5% level, palm sugar administration showed a highly significant different effect on the organoleptic of nata de sago. the administration of 100 grams of palm sugar gave the best increase in the quality of nata de sago and based on an analysis of the potential of the research results it could be used as a design material booklet for class XII high school biotechnology subjects.Kata Kunci : Organoleptik Nata de sago, Rancangan Booklet, Gula Aren

Abstract

In order to improve the quality of the learning process and improve high order thinking skills (HOTS), education is required to continue to develop. One of the tools for the learning process and a solution for education is by using the media. Adobe After Effects-based motion graphics media can be used by teachers in the learning process. This study aims to develop and produce Motion Graphic media based on Adobe After Effects in an effort to improve High order thinking skills (HOTS) during the pandemic. The research consists of 3 stages, namely analysis, design and development. Methode of research is Research and Development (RD), using the ADDIE Model. The analysis phase is carried out by observation and interviews using a google form questionnaire and the design and development phase is carried out by utilizing various software. The results of the analysis phase of the study showed that 64.3% of students thought that the material for the coordination system was difficult to understand. The design stage begins with making a storyboard in accordance with the curriculum of 2013 and indicators of student achievement in the coordination system material, followed by making Motion Graphic Video using Adobe Effects software in accordance with the storyboard that has been made. The media generated from this research can be developed and tested further.

Abstract

This study aims to produce an outdoor learning for Senior High School Biological learning. New sources of knowledge for enriching the module were taken from research findings of understory plants grown on ex-bouxite mining lands in Singkep Island that were carried out on December 2019-February 2020. The ecological survey method with purposive sampling technique was used to inventory the diversity of understory plant species after revegetated in 2012, 2014 and 2015. The data of understory plant were identified using an identification guides. The Outdoor Learning module for Senior High School was designed by using the ADDIE model through three three stages, i.e. analyze, design, development. The quality of the Biology learning module’s based on Outdoor Learning is classified as good in terms of the level of validity, format, graphic, scientific illustrations, language as well as the feasibility of the module contents so that could be utilize by the Biology teacher’s for enriching the Biological teaching at Senior High School
