Abstract

AbstractThis research aims to; 1) Determine the feasibility of learning media in the form of a pop-up box based on problem solving as a media for learning physics, 2) to know the attractiveness of learning media in the form of pop-up box based on problem solving as a medium of physics learning. This research is an R & D research that adopts the development of Borg &Gallyang has been modified by Sugiono. Subjects in this study are students class VIII SMPN 5 Bandarlampung, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung and MTS Al-Huda JatiAgung with data collection instruments used in the form of questionnaires given to material experts, media experts, educators physics junior high school to test the quality of media learning and questionnaire response learners to know the interest / response of learners to learning media developed. The type of data generated is qualitative data which is analyzed by guidance criteria of rating category to determine product quality using Likert scale. The results of this study are; 1) Produce a pop-up box product as a learning medium; the product quality that has been developed is "very feasible" with percentage based on expert material appraisal, 89,67% by media expert equal to 89,77% and educator of junior high school with percentage equal to 91,11%; 2) Student response conducted with small group trial and VIII class trial in 3 (three) schools with 95.47% feasibility percentage and field trials in 3 (three) schools each at SMPN 5 Bandarlampung 92,54%, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung 95,50%, and MTS Al-Huda JatiAgung 93,6%.Keywords: Research and Development, Learning Media, Pop-Up BoxAbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk; 1) Mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran berupa kotak Pop-up berbasis problem solving sebagai media pembeljaran fisika; 2) Mengetahui kemenarikan media pembelajaran berupa kotak pop-up berbasis problem solving sebagai media pembelajaran fisika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian R&D yang mengadopsi pengembangan dari Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi oleh Sugiono. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik kelas VIII SMPN 5 Bandarlampung, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung  dan MTS Al-Huda Jati Agung dengan instrument pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa angket yang diberikan kepada ahli materi, ahli media, tenaga pendidik fisika SMP untuk menguji kualitas media pembelajaran dan angketr espon peserta didik untuk mengetahui ketertarikan/respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis data yang dihasilkan adalah data kualitatif yang dianalisis dengan pedoman kriteria kategori penilaian untuk menentukan kualitas produk menggunakan skala Likert. Hasil penelitian ini adalah; 1) Menghasilkan produk berupa kotak pop-up sebagai media pembelajaran; kualitas produk yang telah dikembangkan adalah “sangat layak” dengan persentase berdasarkan penilaian ahli materi, 89,67% oleh ahli media sebesar 89,77 % dan tenaga pendidik SMP dengan persentasese besar 91,11%; 2) Respon pesertadidik yang dilakukan dengan uji coba kelompok kecil dan uji coba lapangan kelasVIII di 3 (tiga) Sekolah dengan persentase kelayakan 95,47% dan uji coba lapangan di 3 (tiga) Sekolah masing-masing sebesardi SMPN 5 Bandarlampung 92,54%, SMP WIYATAMA Bandarlampung 95,50%, dan MTS Al-Huda Jati Agung 93,6%.Kata kunci :Penelitian dan Pengembangan, Media Pembelajaran, Kotak Pop-Up

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the application of the problem-based learning (PBL) model on the conceptual understanding and communication skills of junior high school students. With a quasi-experimental method, this study used a multiple-choice test in the form of a four-tier and a communication questionnaire as a data collection technique. Data analysis using the mixed method. The research sample consisted of the experimental class and the control class. Based on the results of the statistical calculation of the t-test, it was found that tcount > ttable (12.61 > 1.67), then Ha was accepted. This shows that there is a significant effect of the problem-based learning (PBL) learning model on the ability to understand concepts of junior high school students. Meanwhile, from the results of the questionnaire calculation, the score of the experimental class was higher than the control class. So it can be concluded that student communication in the experimental class has a significant increase compared to the control class. Accordingly, the findings of this study indicate that PBL can improve the concept understanding and communication of junior high school students. Students who have high conceptual understanding tend to have good communication skills

Abstract

This study aimed to (1) find out how to develop a simple experimental tool for Melde‘s experiment, (2) determine the feasibility level of simple melde‘s experiments. The method used in this research was Research and Development which was adapted from Thiagarajan (4D) including define, design, develop and dissemination. This research was done until the development stage. The results of the study includes the simple experimental practice of melde‘s experiment and the feasibility level of simple experimental tool of melde‘s experiment. Based on 86,7% of experts’ judgement, the simple experimental tool is categorized into very feasible. The result of trial experiment in one on one, small group and fields are 83.3%, 87.5% and 90.9 % respectively. The three experimental results were categorized into highly feasible. Thus, the development of simple experimental tools for melde’s experiment is worthy as a learning media.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the Science Process Skills (KPS) of Physics Education Study Program Students in the Optics Subject. This research uses a descriptive method. The analyzed consists of 9 indicators including observing, clarifying, interpreting data, predicting, hypothesizing, analyzing, planning, experimenting / researching, using tools and materials, applying concepts and communicating. The results showed that the Science Process Skills as a whole obtained an average score of 84.10% in the very good category. Thus it is very clear that KPS Physics Education student STKIP Nurul Huda has excellent skills so that it has a positive effect on the development of student thinking patterns and attitudes which will ultimately have an impact on student success in learning..

Abstract

Implementasikan e-modul dalam eksperimen telah banyak dilakukan, namun hanya sedikit penyelenggara pengabdian masyarakat yang telah melaksanakan pelatihan e-modul interaktif, khususnya di bidang fisika. Pelatihan ini menggunakan data deskriptif kualitatif melalui angket terbuka. Sampel yang diadaptasi dalam penelitian ini adalah calon pendidik fisika semester aktif yang berjumlah 54 siswa. Pelatihan dilakukan di IKIP Nurul Huda Sukaraja. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta belum pernah membuat e-modul interaktif dan tertarik untuk membuat e-modul interaktif. Selain itu, beberapa peserta mengalami kendala saat membuat e-modul interaktif, salah satunya pada penyusunan dan perancangan e-modul interaktif. Meski begitu, para peserta merasa pelatihan ini sangat bermanfaat untuk menunjang pembelajaran fisika dan menunjang pembuatan bahan ajar selanjutnya saat menjadi tenaga pendidik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat Kefektifan Pembelajaran Daring pada Mata Kuliah Dasar-Dasar Pembelajaran Fisika. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan metode komparasi dengan membandingkan Hasil belajar mata kuliah Dasar-Dasar Proses Pembelajaran Fisika (DDPF) sebelum pandemic Covid-19 (luring) dengan hasil belajar mata kuliah DDPF selama pandemic Covid-19 (daring). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 23 mahasiswa program studi Pendidikan Fisika semester 4. Analisis ini menggunakan uji Paired Sample t-Test. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa rata-rata nilai mahasiswa dalam pembelajaran luring lebih besar dari pembelajaran daring (84,5 > 82,6) dan hasilnilai signifikansinya adalah 0.000 atau sig. (2-tailed) < 0.05, sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Dengan demikian terdapat perbedaan signifikan hasil UAS Mata Kuliah Dasar Proses Pembelajaran Fisika pada pembelajaran luring dan daring. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa pembelajaran Luring lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran daring

Abstract

The aim of this study was to analyze the effect of the Model Group Investigation model and the Number Head Together model on learning outcomes. Quasi-experimental method used in this research, the instrument used is multiple choice questions that produce research data. Research data were analyzed using t-test. The results showed that the Group Investigation model and the Number Head Together model could improve learning outcomes. In the result, the class that used the Group Investigation model had a higher score than the class that used the Number Head Together model. For further research, it is necessary to apply a model integrated with interactive multimedia, so that, it will be more interesting and can motivate students in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect and significance of the STAD learning model with mysterious card box media (kokami) on the physics learning outcomes of class VIII students on work and simple plane at SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Madang Raya in the 2020/2021 academic year. This research used quantitative research. The population in this study were all students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 1 Belitang Madang Raya, and the sample was selected by purposive sampling technique. In the experimental class, learning used the STAD learning model with kokami media, while in the control class, the learning used conventional models (lectures and questions and answers). Data collection techniques to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of students using a multiple-choice test with two tier question type, and hypothesis testing using the t-test. Based on the pretest and posttest results, the experimental class average score was higher than the control class average score. The pretest average score for the experimental class was 38, and the average score for the control class was 37. While the posttest average score for the experimental class was 75, and the control class was 63. The average results of the experimental class and control class were different, so that there is a significant influence between students whose learning uses the STAD learning model through kokami media with students whose learning used conventional model. It can be seen from the tcount which is greater than the ttable value, namely 14.4> 1.67, which means that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.

Abstract

Physic Education and Technology (PhET) is a virtual laboratory-based learning media that was created to facilitate practical activities. This study aims to improve students' analytical skills on the concept of mechanical waves. This type of research is quantitative research. This research was conducted at SMP NU Bumirahayu involving 23 students taken by random sampling. This research was conducted using a Quasy Experiment method in the form of Pre-experimental Design using one class. Data was collected by giving pretest and post-test. The type of question used is a description test. The data analysis technique used the N-gain test. The results of the study on the calculation of N-gain showed that the average pretest score was 36.61 while the average post-test score was 90.17. Based on the results of the N-gain calculation, it can be seen that learning using virtual laboratory media (PhET Simulation) can improve students' analytical skills. For researchers who will apply learning using virtual laboratory media, they should be able to display simulations with the latest innovations so that the goals are achieved and the final learning outcomes are even better.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the absolute viscosity value of pertalite fuel sold at gas stations and retail. The method used is an experiment with video analysis assisted by Logger Pro software. The number of retail pertalite samples tested consisted of 5 samples taken from different places. The research step is to analyze the video recorded on the motion of a falling object, namely an iron ball (Gotri) into the fluid (pertalite fuel) with logger pro software then track the video recording and obtain terminal time and speed data. From the results of the terminal velocity then it is calculated to the absolute viscosity equation. The results of the test showed that there was no significant difference between the viscosity of pertalite sold by gas stations and those sold at retail. This is evidenced by the average viscosity coefficient value of Pertalite gas stations of 0.4074 (Ns/m²) while the viscosity of retail pertalite is 0.4019 (Ns/m2). These results conclude that the pertalite sold retail in East Ogan Komering Ulu area is still maintains the quality of pertalite from gas stations so that it is safe for vehicle engine performance.
