Abstract

Sistem pendingin pada kendaraan berfungsi untuk melindungi mesin kendaraan dengan cara menyerap panas yang dihasilkan dari pembakaran bahan bakar dalam silinder, jika panas dari pembakaran dibiarkan, maka dapat menimbulkan panas yang berlebihan (overheating). Sepeda motor 4 langkah memiliki oil cooler  dengan tipe standar bawaan pabrik yakni oil cooler  3 baris. Performa dari oil cooler  tersebut cukup baik dalam menjaga temperatur oli mesin tetap optimal. Akan tetapi, ketika berada dijalanan ramai,kemacetan dan berhenti saat lampu merah oil cooler  3 baris tidaklah cukup dikarenakan kurangnya suplai udara yang mengakibatkan suhu mesin meningkat, maka penyelesaiannya mencoba mengganti oil cooler  3 baris dengan oil cooler  5 baris dengan tujuan bisa menurunkan suhu mesin dari sebelumnya. Untuk melihat hasil dari proses tersebut, pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan 2 tipe oil cooler  yaitu oil cooler  3 baris dan oil cooler  5 baris dengan waktu pengujian 60 detik serta variasi putaran mesih sebesar 2000 RPM,5000 RPM, dan 8000 RPM. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan dari data yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan pada oil cooler  5 baris terjadi penurunan suhu oli mesin sebesar 8 %, 4%, dan 13%  dan kenaikan konsumsi bahan bakar sebesar 40 %, 16%, dan 6% dari oil cooler  3 baris. The vehicle's cooling system protects the engine by absorbing the heat generated by the combustion of fuel in the cylinder; if this heat is not removed, it can lead to excessive heat (overheating). The 4-stroke motorcycle is equipped with a 3-line oil cooler as the factory default oil cooler. The oil cooler is quite effective at maintaining the ideal engine oil temperature. Due to a lack of air supply, a 3-row oil cooler is insufficient on busy roads, in traffic jams, and when stopped at red lights, resulting in an increase in engine temperature. Therefore, the solution is to attempt to replace the 3-row oil cooler with a 5-row oil cooler, with the goal of reducing engine temperature from before. Two varieties of oil coolers, namely 3-row oil coolers and 5-row oil coolers, were tested with a test time of 60 seconds and variations in mesih rotation of 2000 RPM, 5000 RPM, and 8000 RPM to determine the results of the process. After calculating the obtained data, it is possible to conclude that the 5-line oil cooler reduced engine oil temperature by 8%, 4%, and 13%, while increasing gasoline consumption by 40%, 16%, and 6% compared to the 3-line oil cooler.

Abstract

Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk Menganalisis, Mengimplementasikan dan Mengukur tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Padang pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Otomotif (DDO) sebelum dan setelah penerapan media PowerPoint interaktif. peneliti menggunakan jenis penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian tindakan kelas dilakukan oleh guru dalam rangka untuk memperbaiki cara dan metode guru serta alat peraga yang digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Siswa yang menjadi subjek penelitian Tindakan kelas ini adalah siswa kelas X TKR SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Padang yang berjumlah 11 orang yang terdiri dari (siswa). Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tingkat kemandirian belajar siswa kelas X SMK Muhammadiyah Padang pada mata pelajaran Dasar-Dasar Otomotif (DDO) sebelum penerapan media PowerPoint interaktif berada pada kategori rendah hingga sedang, yang ditandai dengan kurangnya inisiatif belajar, rendahnya tanggung jawab dalam menyelesaikan tugas, serta kepercayaan diri yang masih terbatas dalam menghadapi permasalahan belajar. Penerapan media PowerPoint interaktif dalam pembelajaran DDO terlaksana dengan baik dan mampu menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang lebih menarik, aktif, dan kondusif melalui pemanfaatan unsur visual, audio, serta interaksi, sehingga meningkatkan partisipasi dan antusiasme siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Penggunaan media PowerPoint interaktif terbukti mampu meningkatkan kemandirian belajar siswa pada seluruh indikator utama, yaitu inisiatif belajar, tanggung jawab terhadap tugas, dan kepercayaan diri, yang terlihat dari peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari Siklus I ke Siklus II

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya pemahaman mahasiswa terhadap materi pengisian fluida pendingin pada mata kuliah Teknologi Pengkondisian Udara. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan video pembelajaran pengisian fluida pendingin pada sistem pengkondisian udara mobil yang valid dan praktis digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Metode yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan dengan model 4-D yang meliputi tahap define, design, develop, dan disseminate. Instrumen penelitian berupa angket validitas dan praktikalitas yang diberikan kepada dua validator dosen Universitas Negeri Padang, satu dosen pengampu mata kuliah, dan 40 mahasiswa sebagai responden. Video pembelajaran dikembangkan dengan dukungan subtitle dan peningkatan kualitas audio. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa video memperoleh validitas materi sebesar 80,00% dan validitas media sebesar 81,67%, keduanya pada kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji praktikalitas memperoleh skor 5.321 dari 6.000 dengan persentase 88,68% dan kategori sangat praktis. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa video pembelajaran layak digunakan sebagai media pendukung pembelajaran praktik pengisian fluida pendingin pada sistem pengkondisian udara mobil. This study was motivated by students’ limited understanding of refrigerant charging in the Air Conditioning Technology course. It aimed to develop a learning video on refrigerant charging in automotive air conditioning systems that is valid and practical for instructional use. The study employed a Research and Development design using the 4-D model, consisting of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research instruments included validity and practicality questionnaires administered to two expert validators from Universitas Negeri Padang, one course lecturer, and 40 student respondents. The learning video was developed with subtitles and improved audio quality to support clearer procedural instruction. The results showed that the video achieved a material validity score of 80.00% and a media validity score of 81.67%, both categorized as very valid. The practicality test obtained a score of 5,321 out of 6,000, with a percentage of 88.68%, categorized as very practical. These findings indicate that the developed learning video is feasible as a supporting medium for practical learning of refrigerant charging in automotive air conditioning systems.

Abstract

Trainer sistem starter diperlukan untuk pembelajaran praktik kelistrikan kendaraan ringan, tetapi kelayakan materinya dan keterkaitannya dengan hasil belajar kognitif masih perlu dikaji. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi kelayakan materi trainer sistem starter dan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa kelas XI TKRO di SMK Negeri 1 Padang. Penelitian evaluatif kuantitatif ini menggunakan desain one-group pretest-posttest dengan 52 siswa melalui total sampling. Kelayakan materi dinilai oleh dua ahli menggunakan lembar validasi Likert 11 butir, sedangkan hasil belajar diukur melalui tes pilihan ganda 30 butir. Data dianalisis menggunakan persentase kelayakan, skor N-Gain, dan uji Wilcoxon signed-rank. Hasil menunjukkan trainer berkategori sangat layak pada aspek materi (83,64%). Rata-rata N-Gain mencapai 0,7180 atau kategori tinggi, uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan bermakna (Z = -6,275; p < 0,001), dan ketuntasan KKM meningkat dari 0% menjadi 100%. Dengan keterbatasan tanpa kelompok kontrol, temuan ini mengindikasikan bahwa penggunaan trainer yang layak secara materi berasosiasi dengan peningkatan hasil belajar kognitif siswa. A starter system trainer supports practical learning in light vehicle electrical systems, but its material feasibility and relation to cognitive learning outcomes require examination. This study evaluated the trainer’s material feasibility and cognitive learning improvement among grade XI TKRO students at SMK Negeri 1 Padang. A quantitative one-group pretest-posttest design involved 52 students selected through total sampling. Material feasibility was assessed by two experts using an 11-item Likert sheet, while learning outcomes were measured with a 30-item multiple-choice test. Data were analyzed using feasibility percentages, N-Gain, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test. The trainer was rated very feasible in material quality (83.64%). The mean N-Gain was 0.7180, indicating a high category; the Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference (Z = -6.275; p < 0.001); and KKM mastery increased from 0% to 100%. Without a control group, findings indicate that using a materially feasible trainer is associated with improved cognitive learning outcomes.

Abstract

Abstract: Student engagement plays a crucial role in supporting successful learning outcomes, particularly in vocational education settings. Initial classroom observations conducted in Class XI TKR of SMK Negeri 1 Kecamatan Luak indicated that learners tended to show limited participation during instructional activities. This classroom action research investigated the use of a game-oriented learning approach supported by Quizizz to foster greater student involvement in the Light Vehicle Engine System subject. The study followed the Kemmis and McTaggart action research framework and was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of two learning sessions. Twenty-six students participated in the research. Data were obtained through systematic classroom observations and interpreted using percentage-based descriptive analysis. Findings revealed a steady rise in learner engagement throughout the intervention. Participation levels progressed from 34.61% during the first session of Cycle I to 46.15% in the following session, increased again to 65.38% at the beginning of Cycle II, and reached 80.76% by the final meeting. These outcomes surpassed the predetermined criterion requiring at least 75% of learners to demonstrate moderate, high, or very high engagement. The results suggest that integrating Quizizz within a game-oriented instructional model can effectively encourage active participation in vocational learning environments.Keywords: Game Based Learning, Quizizz, Student Learning Activity, Classroom Action Research, Light Vehicle Engine System

Abstract

Abstract: Practicum is the core of competence formation in vocational education, yet learning is still largely guided by printed job sheets that present only static text and images, are inaccessible outside laboratory hours, and tend to lower student engagement. Digitalization of job sheets into website-based, interactive media is increasingly proposed as a solution; however, syntheses that map how such media are developed and evaluated in vocational settings remain scarce. This Systematic Literature Review (SLR) synthesises Scopus-indexed studies (2021–2026) on the development of digital and website-based practicum job sheets and digital worksheets (e-LKPD) in vocational and technical education, focusing on development models, validity, practicality, effectiveness, and their effect on student engagement. Following PRISMA 2020 guidelines, an initial Scopus search via Publish or Perish (PoP) version 8 was conducted; records were screened for the 2021–2026 window and topical relevance, and the core studies were retained for qualitative thematic synthesis. Author keyword co-occurrence mapping was performed in VOSviewer. This article reports the introduction, literature review, research questions, and method; results and discussion will be completed after metadata retrieval in PoP. The review is expected to clarify dominant development models (ADDIE, 4-D, Borg Gall), the measurement of media practicality (including the System Usability Scale), and the research gap regarding website-based job sheets in vocational practicum.Keywords: Digital Job Sheet; E-Worksheet; Website-Based Learning Media; Vocational Education; Practicum; Systematic Literature Review; PRISMA 2020

Abstract

Penelitian ini tentang variasi penggunaan busi dan bahan bakar terhadap torsi dan daya yang dihasilkan oleh sepeda motor matic 110 cc dengan menggunakan tiga variasi busi yaitu busi nikel, busi platinum, dan busi iridium serta tiga jenis bahan bakar yaitu premium, pertalite, dan pertamax. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Objek penelitian ini adalah sepeda motor Honda Beat tahun 2017. Pada penggunaan bahan bakar pertalite serta menggunakan busi nikel, busi platinum, dan busi iridium didapat hasil torsi sebesar 9,62 N.m, 9,77 N.m, 9,62 N.m. Daya sebesar 6,29 Kw, 6,41 Kw, 6,29 Kw. Pada penggunaan bahan bakar pertamax serta menggunakan busi nikel, busi platinum, dan busi iridium didapat hasil torsi sebesar 9,67 N.m, 9,27 N.m, 9,83 N.m. Daya sebesar 6,34 Kw, 6,26 Kw, 6,44 kw. Setelah melalui uji T dengan taraf signifikan 5% didapat hasil torsi dan daya pada perlakuan menggunakan busi nikel, busi platinum, busi iridium serta bahan bakar pertalite dan pertamax tidak signifikan. This study is about variations in the use of spark plugs and fuel on the torque and power produced by a 110 cc automatic motorcycle using three variations of spark plugs, namely nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs and three types of fuel, namely premium, pertalite, and pertamax. This type of research is experimental research. The object of this research is a 2017 Honda Beat motorcycle. In the use of pertalite fuel and using nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs, the torque results are 9.62 N.m, 9.77 N.m, 9.62 N.m. Power of 6.29 Kw, 6.41 Kw, 6.29 Kw. In the use of Pertamax fuel and using nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, and iridium spark plugs, the torque results are 9.67 N.m, 9.27 N.m, 9.83 N.m. Power of 6.34 Kw, 6.26 Kw, 6.44 kw. After going through the T test with a significant level of 5%, the results of the torque and power treatment using nickel spark plugs, platinum spark plugs, iridium spark plugs and pertalite and pertamax fuels were not significant.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to design instructional videos that will make learning easier for students. In this study the research and development (R&D) method was used and the subjects in this study consisted of material experts, media experts, and class XI students of Light Vehicle Engineering SMKN 1 West Sumatra. The data analysis technique of this research uses a quantitative descriptive technique, applies the results of product design in the form of learning video media, tests the level of validation and product feasibility on vehicle body electricity in light vehicle electricity subjects. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the design of the learning video for the vehicle body electrical system in the light vehicle electrical maintenance subject is very suitable for use as a learning medium because it can be accessed anywhere and anytime and can be viewed repeatedly. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk merancang video pembelajaran yang akan membuat belajar lebih mudah bagi siswa. Dalam penelitian ini digunakan metode research and development (R&D) dan subjek dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari ahli materi, ahli media, dan siswa kelas XI Teknik Kendaraan Ringan SMKN 1 Sumatera Barat. Teknik analisis data penelitian ini menggunakan teknik deskriptif kuantitatif, mengaplikasikan hasil perancangan produk dalam bentuk media video pembelajaran, menguji tingkat validasi dan kelayakan produk pada kelistrikan bodi kendaraan mata pelajaran kelistrikan kendaraan ringan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa Perancangan video pembelajaran sistem kelistrikan bodi kendaraan pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan kelistrikan kendaraan ringan ini sangat layak digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran karena dapat di akses dimanapun dan kapanpun dan bisa dilihat secara berulang-ulang.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to analyze the influence of simulator trainer media on the learning outcomes of the motorcycle starter system compared to conventional lecture methods. Using a quantitative experiment method with a one group pretest-posttest design, the study involved 25 students in class XI TSM in the even semester of the 2024/2025 school year at SMKN 1 Bonjol. Data were collected through validated multiple-choice objective tests: 20 items for the pretest and 30 items for the posttest. Data analysis was conducted using the paired sample t-test. The results showed a significant increase from the average pretest of 68.8 to 83.28 in the posttest after the implementation of the simulator media trainer. The statistical test obtained a t-count of 9,438 t-table of 2,064 with an influence rate of 21%, showing a significant difference in α = 0.05. It was concluded that the simulator trainer media can improve student learning outcomes on motorcycle starter system materials, providing a more concrete and interactive learning experience than conventional lecture methods.Keywords:  trainer simulator, learning outcomes, starter system, motorcycle, technical education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa melalui penerapan pembelajaran berbasis proyek (project-based learning/PjBL) pada mata pelajaran Pemeliharaan Mesin Sepeda Motor (PMSM) kelas XII TBSM SMK Negeri 10 Merangin. Penelitian menggunakan desain Penelitian Tindakan Kelas model Kemmis dan McTaggart dua siklus, masing-masing meliputi tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data keaktifan dan hasil belajar dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan skala Guttman. Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan keaktifan yang nyata: siswa sangat aktif naik dari 4,62% menjadi 23,57%, dan aktif dari 57,42% menjadi 68,33%, disertai penurunan kategori cukup dan kurang aktif. Ketuntasan hasil belajar meningkat dari 63,33% menjadi 93,33% (KKM ≥ 75). Temuan ini menegaskan bahwa project-based learning efektif meningkatkan keaktifan belajar dan capaian akademik pada pembelajaran PMSM di lingkungan pendidikan vokasional. This study aims to enhance students’ learning engagement through the implementation of project-based learning (PjBL) in the Motorcycle Engine Maintenance (PMSM) subject of grade XII TBSM at SMK Negeri 10 Merangin. A classroom action research design based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model was applied in two cycles, each consisting of planning, acting, observing, and reflecting. Data on student engagement and learning outcomes were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, and were analysed descriptively using quantitative Guttman-scale scores supported by qualitative descriptions. The results indicate a marked improvement in student engagement: the proportion of highly active students increased from 4.62% to 23.57% and active students from 57.42% to 68.33%, accompanied by a decline in moderately and less active categories. Mastery learning rose from 63.33% to 93.33% (minimum mastery criterion ≥ 75). These findings demonstrate that project-based learning is effective in strengthening student engagement and achievement in vocational PMSM learning.
