Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design the monitoring system to observe the growth of Chili plant that is integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) with the power source coming from solar panels. Important variables to support plant growth are soil moisture, ambient temperature as well as the right time and duration of watering. Measurement of light intensity is carried out by the BH1750 sensor. The measurement results of the sensor will be displayed on the LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) and can be accessed via an Android-based application. The result of testing the light intensity monitoring tools on chili plants showed good accuracy. The monitoring system that has been designed is equipped LCD that show variable result.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang sistem monitoring untuk mengamati pertumbuhan tanaman cabai yang terintegrasi Internet of Things (IoT) dengan sumber daya listrik berasal dari panel surya. Variable penting untuk menunjang pertumbuhan tanaman adalah kelembaban tanah dan suhu lingkungan serta waktu dan lama penyiraman yang tepat. Pengukuran suhu dan kelembaban lingkungan dilakukan dengan menggunakan sensor DHT11. Sedangkan untuk pengukuran kelembaban tanah menggunakan sensor YL-69. Hasil pengukuran dari kedua sensor tersebut kemudian akan di tampilkan pada LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) dan dapat di akses melalui aplikasiberbasis android. Hasil pengujian alat monitoring suhu dan kelembaban tanah pada tanaman cabai menunjukkan hasil pengukuran dengan akurasi yang baik. Sistem monitoting pertumbuhan tanaman  cabai yang dibuat dilengkapi dengan LCD yang menampilakn hasil pengukuran terhadap variable yang diamati.

Abstract

Jerawat (Acne vulgaris) adalah kondisi peradangan pada folikel sebaceous yang dapat menyerang pria dan wanita pada segala usia. Jerawat dapat disebabkan oleh berbagai keadaan, dan infeksi bakteri Propionibacterium acnes adalah salah satu penyebabnya. Propionibacterium acnes termasuk mikroflora yang terdapat pada kulit manusia, namun jika jumlahnya berlebih maka dapat menyebabkan jerawat. Pengobatan jerawat yang umum dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan antibiotik atau berbagai produk sintetik/kimia yang beredar di pasaran. Penggunaan obat jerawat sintetik dapat menyebabkan terjadinya resistensi, iritasi, kerusakan organ, hingga hipersensitivitas imun. Oleh karena itu peneliti melakukan penelitian pemanfaatan bahan alam yaitu ekstrak herba Suruhan (Peperomia pellucida L. Kunth) sebagai alternatif bahan alam yang diformulasi dalam bentuk sediaan gel untuk mengatasi masalah jerawat. Gel dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 25% memiliki aktivitas antibakteri terbaik. Hasil evaluasi sediaan gel dengan konsentrasi ekstrak 25% menunjukkan karakteristik yang baik dan sesuai dengan standar sediaan topikal. Evaluasi sediaan gel yang dilakukan meliputi pemeriksaan pH, organoleptik, homogenitas, dan daya sebar. Hasil analisis statistik menggunakan One way ANOVA  menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang bermakna (P<0,05) antara konsentrasi ekstrak yang digunakan dalam sediaan gel dengan penghambatan pertumbuhan bakteri penyebab jerawat  Propionibacterium acnes.

Abstract

Introduction: Transmission of infectious diseases cannot be separated from the interaction between the causative agent of the disease host and the environment. Efforts to increase the host's immune system to survive infectious attacks are also important things to do, including the use of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA). Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) are nutritious plants planted in the house’s yard and managed by the family Objective: The problem faced today is the availability of herbal plants in the yard that has not been utilized. Method: This community service was carried out with residents of RW 07 Cawang, with 28 people participating in the activity. Community service is carried out using presentation methods, providing information through flayers, workshops for making herbal drinks, and question-and-answer discussions. Result: The questionnaire results showed that 28 participants (100%) had ever drunk traditional drinks but 11 participants (39.30%) did not know how to make traditional products. Conclusion: The results obtained are that the service participants have the ability of herbal plants to become beverage products that can increase endurance.

Abstract

A greenhouse is one form of optimal environmental controlled monitoring for plant growth. Light intensity, air temperature, humidity, wind speed, and heat transfer, and mass transfer are microclimate parameters that are generally observed. Greenhouses can be integrated with the Internet of Things (IoT) to facilitate monitoring called smart greenhouses in real-time. Previously, a solar-powered IoT integrated plant monitoring system has been designed but its effectiveness is not yet known. The purpose of this study was to test the smart greenhouse system for plant cultivation including watering and providing light by utilizing solar panels as a source of electrical energy for the system. The research was carried out in several stages, namely system design, timer testing, pump testing, and watering and lighting. The effectiveness of the greenhouse system has been successfully tested. The test results show good accuracy. There is a slight difference between the test results and the comparison. However, the difference is still tolerable. The smart greenhouse systems can be used for plant cultivation.

Abstract

Acne is an inflammatory condition of the skin which is commonly called polysebaceous which is caused by the Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. Meniran herbs and starfruit leaves contain compounds that are used as antibacterials, namely tannins, flavonoids and saponins. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of the antibacterial combination of star fruit wuluh leaf extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and meniran herb (Phyllanthus niruri L.) as an antibacterial in inhibiting the growth of the Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria that causes acne. The research was an experimental study by conducting an antibacterial effectiveness test against Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria. The results of this research are that the combination of meniran herb extract and starfruit can inhibit the growth of Staphylococcus bacteria. A 1:3 combination of starfruit leaf extract (Averrhoa bilimbi L.) and meniran herb (Phyllanthus niruri L.) is effective in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus epidermidis bacteria 8.568 mm (Medium).

Abstract

Counseling on the use of efficacious medicinal plants in the cultivation of greenhouse plants is one of the community service programs aimed at improving the health status of the people of Majalaya Village, especially the people of Langkob Village. This community service is expected to provide an understanding of the community benefits of various nutritious medicinal plants around. This activity was carried out by direct delivery method with a presentation of material related to the use of efficacious medicinal plants. The results achieved in this activity were an increase in public knowledge of the use of efficacious medicinal plants and understanding related to smart greenhouses as evidenced through statistical tests on the pre-test and post-test which were answered by the community in this series of activities. The statistical test resulted in a p-value <0.05, namely 0.013, which means that there was a significant difference when before the material was delivered and the material was delivered

Abstract

Saat ini pengobatan tradisional banyak dipilih kembali oleh masyarakat sebagai alternatif dalam penyembuhan. Salah satu tanaman yang dapat digunakan sebagai obat ialah tanaman pandan wangi (Pandanus amaryllofolius Roxb). Pandan wangi memiliki aktivitas seperti antioksidan, antidiabetik, anti ketombe, lemah saraf, analgesik, pewangi dan pewarna makanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memformulasikan dan mengevaluasi sediaan krim dari ekstrak daun pandan wangi. Metode dalam penelitian ini ialah dengan menggunakan metode eksperimental laboratorium dengan evaluasi melalui berbagai karakteristik fisik seperti uji organoleptik, uji homogenitas, uji pH, uji daya sebar, uji daya lekat, dan uji viskositas pada 3 sediaan krim dengan konsentrasi pandan wangi 5%; 7,5%; dan 10%. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ketiga formula dengan ekstrak daun pandan wangi dapat diformulasikan sebagai krim.
