Abstract

Indonesia is the purpose of this study was to determine the socio-economic problems of the natural disaster of the Mount Semeru eruption in Lumajang Regency as a source of social studies learning. This research method is by using a qualitative case study approach. The data collection was carried out using interviews and participant observation and documentation to obtain data in the form of numbers. The subject of this research is the community affected by the eruption of Mount Semeru in Supiturang Village, Curah Kobokan, Lumajang Regency. This research will focus on socio-economic problems that emerged after the eruption of Mount Semeru natural disaster. Data analysis used is data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study state that the socio-economic problems of the community after the natural disaster of the Mount Semeru eruption are (1) Loss of livelihood causes unemployment (2) Loss of property causes poverty. From these various socio-economic problems, the government made many efforts to overcome problems such as establishing temporary and permanent housing, receiving social assistance from various groups, providing social assistance from the government.

Abstract

The study aims to recognize the urgency of comprehensive sexuality education, the implementation of comprehensive sexuality education in the curriculum, and the integration of comprehensive sexuality education through sociological learning in schools. The study uses a qualitative approach with literary analysis techniques. The study used relevant literature from books and national and international journals related to material on CSE—Comprehensive Sexuality Education—and adolescent sexual behavior. The results of the analysis showed that comprehensive sexuality education gives adolescents the strength to exercise their rights, avoid unplanned pregnancies, build relationships that respect each other, and value equality, respect, consent, and diversity. It also helps address issues such as violence against women and girls and patriarchal dominance. Comprehensive sexuality education can be integrated with sociological learning in schools to examine topics related to sexuality, gender discrimination, consent, stereotypes, and gender-based violence. Schools need to implement it through curricula and equip teachers with training, involving parents and the community. The implications of this study are to provide an understanding of the importance of comprehensive sexual education to policymakers and the general public in order to minimize the negative impact of pre-sexual behavior on adolescents

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau efektivitas metode mind mapping dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan tinjauan literatur yang relevan. Dengan menggunakan metode penelitian kepustakaan (library research), penelitian ini menganalisis berbagai sumber sekunder, seperti artikel jurnal, buku, dan laporan penelitian yang dipublikasikan dalam 10 tahun terakhir. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mind mapping merupakan metode pembelajaran yang efektif dalam membantu siswa memahami materi pembelajaran secara lebih mendalam, meningkatkan retensi informasi, dan mengembangkan keterampilan berpikir kritis serta kreatif. Mind mapping juga terbukti meningkatkan keterlibatan dan motivasi siswa dalam pembelajaran melalui pendekatan visual yang interaktif dan menarik. Namun, keberhasilan penerapan metode ini sangat bergantung pada bimbingan guru, kesiapan siswa, dan ketersediaan alat pendukung, baik manual maupun digital. Beberapa tantangan yang diidentifikasi meliputi keterbatasan waktu pelaksanaan dan kurangnya keterampilan teknis siswa dalam menggunakan aplikasi digital. Penelitian ini memberikan landasan teoritis yang kuat mengenai efektivitas mind mapping, namun disarankan untuk melakukan penelitian lanjutan dengan pendekatan empiris yang lebih mendalam. Dengan demikian, mind mapping memiliki potensi besar untuk menjadi salah satu strategi pembelajaran inovatif yang mendukung pengembangan keterampilan abad ke-21.

Abstract

Nyadran local wisdom is a routine because it is a form of community gratitude for the results of natural resources, especially in the fisheries sector. The aim of this research is to study and analyze the Nyadran tradition in Balongdowo Village, Sidoarjo. This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach supported by participant observation, in-depth interviews with community leaders, and analysis of documentation related to the Nyadran tradition. The research results explain that the Nyadran tradition in Balongdowo Village is still carried out regularly every year as a way to honor ancestors and local traditions. However, the practice and meaning of this tradition have been influenced by modernization and social change. Despite this, the people of Balongdowo Village continue to try to maintain and harmonize Nyadran traditions with current social and cultural dynamics. The Nyadran tradition contains social, religious, and historical values ​​which are useful as teaching materials for social studies learning, especially in social and cultural change material. There needs to be efforts to preserve and adapt the Nyadran tradition so that it remains sustainable and meaningful for future generations.

Abstract

Traditional values are passed down across generations and serve as life guidance. In the Samin community of Dusun Jepang, Bojonegoro, these values are preserved in marriage customs, particularly through the jawab and paseksen ceremonies. This study aims to describe the application of these traditional values and analyze their sustainability amidst globalization. Using a descriptive qualitative method and a case study approach, data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews and analyzed with the Miles and Huberman model.Findings show that the core ceremonies remain unchanged, while adaptations such as dowries, receptions, and formal registration have emerged. These changes reflect the community’s ability to balance tradition and modernization while upholding core values such as honesty, simplicity, and communal harmony.

Abstract

The existence of students in the community should play a role as a drafter, dynamist, and evaluator of various social changes. Something that has a positive impact on the community. But some of them do the opposite, having a negative impact on the community, such as acting as a gigolo, known as ‘exclusive gigolo’. This research presents the meaningful actions carried out by exclusive gigolo to attract sympathy and various actions in providing excellent service to clients. These actions were examined from the perspective of Max Weber's Theory of Social Action. This research used a qualitative approach with the perspective of Weber's theory. The research subjects were students who worked as gigolos, ranging from freelance to a lover (manstress). The informants were selected using the snowball sampling technique. Meanwhile, the data collection technique used is in-depth interviews. Data analysis and interpretation techniques are carried out with a deeper understanding (verstehen). There are gigolo social actions, within the framework of norm values, which become the blueprint of community behavior. First, the integration between rationality actions and instrumental rationality actions. These actions were found in activities, including: (1) Gigolo built his self-image: from self-expertise to intelligence in choosing marketing models; (2) Ignoring the feeling of shame as self-strengthening in facing various situations; (3) Client service actions: from holding hands to sexual activity. Second, the integration between rationality action and affective action. The highest achievement for gigolo is to become a lover (manstress). The intensity and the close relationship between a gigolo and the client can make both of them fall in love, like real love. In this context, the gigolo puts money as its main goal. On the other hand, gigolo realizes that the woman who is his client has a family, so it is impossible to have the love of the woman completely. This research concluded that: (1) The implementation of Max Weber's Theory of Social Action in gigolo social actions is integrated into one action with another, and; (2) Gigolo does not take traditional actions on the actions that have been taken.

Abstract

Tulisan ini membahas peran guru Pendidikan Pancasila dalam memperkuat sikap nasionalisme peserta didik Generasi Z di Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri 4 Nganjuk pada era Society 5.0. Perkembangan teknologi digital memengaruhi pola pikir dan perilaku siswa, sehingga menuntut peran strategis guru dalam memperkuat sikap nasionalisme di tengah arus budaya asing. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis peran guru serta mengidentifikasi faktor pendukung dan penghambatnya. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus dengan melibatkan kepala sekolah, guru Pendidikan Pancasila, dan siswa kelas IX-5 dan IX-7. Analisis dilakukan berdasarkan teori Role Set dari Robert K. Merton dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, serta dianalisis menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru berperan (1) sebagai teladan, (2) pendorong kesadaran berbangsa dan bernegara, (3) pengarah dalam menyikapi budaya asing, dan (4) penggerak keaktifan siswa melalui kegiatan dan media digital. Faktor pendukung meliputi program sekolah, perkembangan teknologi, dan komitmen guru, sedangkan faktor penghambat meliputi pengaruh budaya asing, keterbatasan fasilitas digital, dan karakteristik Generasi Z yang cenderung individualis.

Abstract

One of the symbols of dignity and glory for Madurese men is reflected in women through their gold jewelry. Many Madurese women wear gold jewelry in large quantities and sizes, this has even become a social phenomenon. This study aims to describe the perspectives of Madurese men and women regarding gold jewelry as a symbol of men’s glory, as well as to identify the elements that influence these perspectives. The theoretical framework used is Alfred Schutz’s Phenomenological Theory. This research employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participant observation. Data analysis is conducted using Moustakas’ phenomenological analysis. The findings of this study indicate that: (1) Gold jewelry is similarly interpreted by both Madurese men and women as a symbol of success. However, men tend to view gold jewelry as a symbol of dignity, pride, affection, and responsibility toward the family, while women interpret it as a symbol of beauty, honor, and self-identity; (2) The perspectives of Madurese men and women are influenced by elements such as knowledge, culture and tradition, and the social environment; (3) These perspectives on gold jewelry emerge from both because motives (experiences and inherited values related to honor and status) and in-order-to motives (the desire to maintain social image in the present as well as future-oriented aspirations); (4) Gold jewelry is not merely material in value as an investment or savings, but also carries social, cultural, and moral meanings related to perceptions of honor and gender roles (husband-wife).
