Abstract

Introduction: The rapid advancement of technology has develop it difficult for students to avoid the use of social media. While social media offers numerous advantages that support daily life, it also brings both positive and negative consequences. One of the negative impacts is a decline in social interaction and reduced empathy among users. Objective: This research intends to explore the association between social media addiction, social interaction, and empathy levels. Methods: This research employed a cross-sectional design. A total of 170 nursing students were selected through simple random sampling. The independent variable was social media addiction, while the dependent variables were social interaction and empathy. Data were gathered using questionnaires and analyzed with the Spearman rho test, applying a significance level of α < 0.05. The design in this study used cross-sectional. Result: The findings indicate a significant relationship between social media addiction and social interaction (p = 0.003), as well as between social media addiction and empathy (p = 0.019). Conclusion: The study concludes that excessive social media use can negatively influence social interactions and empathy. Other factors may also contribute to diminished social engagement and sensitivity. Further research is encouraged to identify additional causes behind the decline in social interactions and empathetic behavior.

Abstract

80% of the population of Situbondo Regency Coastal Village work as fishermen. Fluctuating fishing results cause businesses to be processed so that they can be stored to fill the void of fishing results and improve the community's economy. The potential processed fish products at Bahari Beach are processed into fish crackers by several micro business groups consisting of residents, but unfortunately, the process of making crackers in all micro business centers still does not meet the principles of good occupational safety and health and does not wear Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) when producing. This research aims to improve knowledge related to occupational safety and health in all groups of micro-business centers in the Pesisir Village area. The training method includes coordination with target partners, preparing the needs of tools and materials during the program, and preparing learning modules that will be used as a reference in program implementation. The work stage is filled with materials and demonstrations. Finally, the evaluation stage. The training participants consisted of 35 people consisting of residents of the Coastal Village of Besuki District, Situbondo Regency. The results showed that there was an increase in the results of the questionnaire from the pre-test and post-test after the training was given. Where the results of the training participants were very enthusiastic and able to practice making rengginang and shredded fish by the principles of occupational safety and health.

Abstract

The problem that exists in the Madrasah Diniyah Bahrul Ulum Coban Blimbing is the idea that there are still numerous students think that learning is a boring and monotonous lesson that results in students becoming less proficient in the material, especially in mastering vocabulary. Researchers tried to solve the problem using an index card match learning model. This study aims to determine the influence of the student's knowledge of vocabulary of the index card match learning model of Madrasah Diniyah Bahrul Ulum Coban Blimbing Wonorejo. This type of study uses experimental quantitative trials with a pre-trial and post-trial design. Observation, testing, and publishing will be used as survey methodologies.This study can be known using normally distributed data, with a value of 0.546 > 0.05 on the initial test or pre-test and a value of 0.209 > 0.05 on the final test or post-test. And the paired sample t test averaged 69.75 and the deviation was 19,226 while the post-test average was 74.00 and the deviation was 20,170. In light of all this, it can be stated that the use of the Index Card Match Learning Model have improved improving the mastery of vocabulary of Madrasah Diniyah Bahrul Ulum students.
