Psychological changes make pregnant women experience anxiety in facing the delivery process, including the conditions that occur during the delivery process. To overcome this anxiety, the benefits of Gentle Birth are needed so that mothers can give birth in peace, free from fear and anxiety. Purpose: This study was to determine the relationship between preparation for gentle birth and the degree of anxiety of first pregnant women in facing labour. Method: the research used was a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional design which was carried out at PMB Mutiara Medan Sunggal in October 2022. The total population used as the research sample was 30 respondents using the total sampling technique. The data collection method uses a questionnaire with an ordinal scale. Results: 19 people (79,2%) did a good gentle birth preparation with low anxiety, 5 people (20,8%) had high anxiety. Meanwhile, there were 2 respondents (33,3%) who did not prepare for gentle birth with a low degree of anxiety, and 4 people (66,7%) with a high degree of anxiety. In the Statistical Test (Chi Square), a p-value of 0.090 is obtained, meaning that this value is < alpha (0.05). Thus it is concluded that H0 is rejected. Conclusion: That there is a relationship between preparation for gentle birth with the degree of anxiety of primigravida pregnant women at PMB Mutiara Medan Sunggal.

Abstract

BBLR babies are babies born with abnormal birth weight (up to 2,499 g) (Sarwono, 2006: 376). Based on the mortality and morbidity rate, low birth weight babies are still a problem from a global or national perspective. To find out the relationship between simple support binder and mother's confidence when caring for BBLR at the Sei Berombang Health Center, Kec. Panai Hilir, Kel. Sei Berombang, Kab. Labuhan Batu, it is necessary to do the kangaroo method treatment with a simple support binder to find out the addition of BBLR babies. The type of research is quasi-experimental research in one group (one group pre test post test design). Sampling using total sampling technique using a questionnaire instrument. The sample is 30 respondents. Data analysis will be carried out using univariate analysis and bivariate analysis. Data collection was carried out using the Wilcoxon test with a degree of significance (α=0.05). Based on the results of the Wilcoxon statistical test (p-value = 0.000) then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected, meaning that there is a simple support binder relationship with the mother's confidence when caring for BBLR. And there was an increase in the baby's weight after the kangaroo method was applied with a simple support binder. In this case the mother is more confident in caring for the kangaroo method with a simple support binder.

Abstract

Infant massage has been carried out in Indonesia since antiquity has been passed down from generation to generation without knowing how massage or touch has a positive impact on the human body. The touch part is the skin, which is the widest part of the human body, babies can feel this function from the womb. Micturition disorders occur due to impaired coordination function of the lower urinary tract including the bladder, bladder neck, valves and urethra. Urinary disorders including bed wetting with or without being followed by bowel obstructions, are disorders that are often found in children with all the consequences. Some complications due to urinary disorders are urinary tract infections, constipation and impaired healing of vesicoureteral reflux. In the process of urinating some babies will experience disturbances caused by delays in bladder maturation and development, sleep pattern disturbances, psychopathology, environmental stress, disturbances. To establish effectiveness of infants aged 3-6 months who receive massage and those who do not receive massage on the micturition patterns of infants exclusively breastfed at the Bunda Patimah Primary Clini. This research uses a type of quantitative research, namely an analytic surve. The research design used was cross- sectional. In this study, it was revealed whether there was an effect if massage was given or not to infants aged 3-6 months on micturition patterns. The chi-square test gives a value of p = 0.002 <0.05. This shows that the frequency of infant massage has an effect on urinary behavior in infants aged 3-6 months who are exclusively breastfed.
