Abstract

Interactive multimedia based learning containing problem solving may have been researched, however there are stigma that learning how to do problem solving conventionally particularly for colleague students is still favorable. The purpose of this paper is to evaluate factors affect the student learning outcomes. The independent variable is a teaching method in the form of interactive multimedia based on problem solving (IMM-PS) and the dependent variable is students' thinking ability in physics.  Specifically, this study aims to analyze the problem solving abilities of students in physics education programs after they have been exposed to interactive multimedia based problem solving methods. The research type is quasi-experiment. The sample were second year physics education students who studying wave electric magnetic subjects, as many as seventy students. The test of science process skills in the form of formal descriptions as well as reasoning tests in the form of descriptions were used as instruments for this study. The results show that the problem solving ability of students who study physics using interactive multi-media based problem solving is better than students who learn through conventional methods.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran advance organizer pada sub materi pokok Besaran dan Pengukuran di Kelas X Semester I SMA Swasta Teladan Cinta Damai Medan tahun pembelajaran 2010/2011. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X yang berjumlah 3 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan jumlah sampel sebanyak 40 orang untuk kelas eksperimen dan 40 orang untuk kelas kontrol Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data pretes diperoleh nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 37,25 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 36,63. Dari hasil uji beda nilai kedua kelas pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05 diperoleh thitung = 0,369, ttabel = 1,991, maka dapat disimpulkan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan nilai pretes kedua kelas, artinya kedua kelas memiliki kemampuan awal yang sama. Selanjutnya dilakukan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran advance organizer pada kelas eksperimen dan pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas kontrol. Setelah pembelajaran diberikan kemudian pada kedua kelas dilakukan postes. Untuk kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai rata-rata 72,50 dan untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai rata-rata 60,63. Dari hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan taraf signifikan 0,05 diperoleh = 4,479 dan = 1,666. Karena  >  maka hipotesis (Ha) diterima.

Abstract

Mitra pada kegiatan PKM ini adalah SD Swasta Teladan Sumatera Utara. Permasalahan yang dialami oleh mitra yaitu : 1) Minimnya pengetahuan guru-guru tentang pembelajaran yang inovatif sehingga pembelajaran berlangsung secara konvensional dan monoton, 2) Sebagian guru belum mendapatkan pelatihan kurikulum 2013 sehingga kesulitan dalam menerapkannya, 3) Sebagian guru tidak mampu merancang Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP) dengan baik, 4) Tidak tersedianya alat peraga pembelajaran, 5) Minimnya keterampilan guru-guru dalam pembuatan alat peraga edukatif tematik. Metode pendekatan dalam pelaksanaan PKM ini menggunakan metode pendidikan, pelatihan, praktik dan pendampingan. Luaran yang dihasilkan antara lain: 1) Meningkatnya pengetahuan guru tentang pembelajaran inovatif di sekolah dasar, 2) Meningkatnya pengetahuan guru-guru dalam menerapkan kurikulum 2013, 3) Meningkatnya keterampilan guru-guru dalam merancang RPP kurikulum 2013, 4) Tersedianya berbagai alat peraga edukatif tematik sekolah dasar, 5) Meningkatnya keterampilan guru-guru dalam pembuatan alat peraga edukatif tematik.

Abstract

The purpose of this PKM activity is to carry out the Tri Dharma of Higher Education especially in the field of Community Service to assist partners in solving the problems they face, starting from the aspect of production and business management so that it is expected to create economic independence and increase business income. In the aspect of production, partners experience constraints on the effectiveness of production time due to the minimal capacity of the toaster oven. While in the aspect of business management in terms of bookkeeping management partners have not been able to record financial transactions properly so that partners find it difficult to be able to apply for financial assistance as additional business capital. The method used in the implementation of this community service is the method of approach in the form of training, practice, and assistance. The results obtained from the implementation of community service activities are 1). Partners can do financial records properly, 2). The availability of appropriate technology stainless gas-fired ovens with a capacity of 14 racks, 4) Shorter baking time for the baking dough, 5). There are 5 types of bread product packaging labels, 6). Partners have a business license, halal product certificate, and UMKM registration certificate.

Abstract

The purpose of the activities carried out is to provide: 1). training on learning strategies and innovative learning methods that are fun for students in the form of blended learning, 2). Training and assistance for the preparation of teaching materials, 3). training and assistance in the use of online learning information systems. The approach method in implementing this PKM uses education, training, demonstration, practice, and mentoring methods. The results of the implementation of the activities are: (1) The partner has a school website that can be used as an online learning system under the name SIPO. (2) There is an increase in teacher understanding of the application of blended learning. (3) There is an increase in the understanding of teachers in the preparation of teaching materials themselves. (4) There is an increase in the knowledge and skills of teachers in using the online learning system.

Abstract

Tujuan Program pengabdian ini adalah pengabdi membantu usaha kelompok pengerajin Anyaman dan Aksesoris Khas Melayu Pesisir Pantai cermin dalam meningkatkan Pengetahuan dan Keterampilan Kelompok dapat mengembangkan usaha dan dapt mensejahterakan anggota. Selain itu meningkatkan kualitas dan kuantitas produk serta variasi produk tanpa menghilangkan ke khasan produk budaya pesisir pantai cermin. Dan yang tidak kalah penting pemasaran yang sangat terbatas pada konsep tradisional tak banyak dapat mendongkrak penghasilan dan perkembangan usaha meraka. Kedua kelompok ini saling membahu dalam mengerjakan orderan yang ada pada masing-masing kelompoknya. Metode yang dilakukan dalam mewujudkan hal tersebut diatas tim menyusun program dalam bentuk transfer ilmu dan pendampingan yang berkelanjutan. target Pertama di targetkan dalam program yaitu: praktik, pelatihan dan pendampingan peningkatan kualitas mutu produk menjadi disertai sistem pembukuan dan penggunaan TTG nya. Sedangkan Kedua mulai didaftarkan merek serta pemasaran online dan pendampingan manajemen usaha. Selanjutnya di ke-Tiga mulai membangun kerjasama dengan pemerintah dan swasta untuk persiapan produk menjdi ikon unggulan daerah serta penguata pada bidang koperasi dan BUMDES. Kegiatan ini direncanakan dilakukan dengan pendekatan Metode Pelatihan, Pendampingan pendidikan, penyuluhan, pelatihan produksi, pelatihan manajemen usaha dan rancang bangun alat.

Abstract

ASSISTANCE IN THE USE OF E-COMMERCE FOR COASTAL MALAY TYPICAL WEAVING CRAFTS AT PANTAI CERMIN SERDANG BEDAGAI. The aim of this service program is to serve the efforts of a group of craftsmen who are handicraftsmen of typical coastal Malay weaving and accessories in improving their group knowledge and skills. In addition, it increases the quality and quantity of products as well as product variations without eliminating the uniqueness of the mirror coastal cultural products. And what is no less important, marketing which is very limited to traditional concepts can not much increase their income and business development. The method used in realizing this is the team compiling programs in the form of knowledge transfer and ongoing mentoring. From the data in the table, it can be seen for IT-based Marketing Strategy Training and Worksop which has quite good competence (> 80) Dominates with only 16 and 11 participants while for the less category as many as 8 and 3 people. Furthermore, starting to build cooperation with the government and the private sector to prepare products to become regional icons of superiority as well as leaders in the fields of cooperatives and BUMDES. This activity is planned to be carried out using the approach of training methods, educational assistance, counseling, production training, business management training and equipment design. The team involved in this activity comes from 3 different faculties which have their respective functions and expertise.

Abstract

The business of Tofu Mbak TRISNI located in Percut Sei Tuan has produced about 2 years. The Problems in the partner's efforts are: 1) The partner has not yet had the knowledge and understanding of the quality of clean water and is worthy tobe used for the manufacture of tofu and for other activities, 2) The partner does not have the knowledge and skills About clean water treatment technology of households, 3) The partner requires additional knowledge to cultivate less viable water in order to be a decent water used for the purpose of making tofu and daily necessities and 4) partners need Simple Technology to cultivate water is less feasible to be a decent water used for the purpose of making tofu and household use. The method of implementation of activities carried out by approach method includes extension activities, training, mentoring and workshop on appropriate technology to process water is not worthy of use into viable water tailored to the condition Environment. This PKM activity generates the availability of clean water for the manufacture of tofu that will produce good quality and safe for health for long-term consumption as well as increased knowledge and skills partner in operating the tool TTG For longer periods of time.

Abstract

Pembelajaran fisika pada abad 21 menuntut siswa-siswi memiliki kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi dengan kemampuan berpikir kritis, kreatif, problem solving, inovatif, komunikatif, dan kolaboratif. Salah satu penyebab siswa mengalami kesulitan dalam pemahaman terhadap HOTS  selama belajar adalah model pembelajaran yang diterapkan masih kurang sesuai dengan pembelajaran HOTS dan tidak disertai  literasi sains. Penelitian peningkatan HOTS dengan penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan Higher Order Thinking Skills siswa kelas IX SMP Budi Murni 4 Medan pada materi Listrik Dinamis melalui penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif, dengan jenis penelitian quasi-experiment dan desain one-group pretest-posttest. Adapun, sampel penelitian ini yaitu 31 siswa yang diambil secara cluster random sampling. Kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi siswa diukur dengan menggunakan instrumen  test hasil belajar siswa berbasis HOTS pada materi listrik dinamis dalam bentuk essay.Soal essay berbasis HOTS sebanyak dari 10 bentuk soal pretest dan 10 bentuk soal posttest dengan tingkatan level kognitif C4, C5, dan C6.Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, siswa kelas IX SMP Budi Murni 4 mengalami peningkatan kemampuan HOTS dengan nilai gain sebesar 0,70, yaitu merupakan kategori tinggi. Dengan demikian, penerapan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing efektif diterapkan dalam meningkatkan kemampuan HOTS siswa, khususnya pemahaman siswa terhadap materi listrik dinamis

Abstract

Abstract This community service activity was carried out at the YAPIM Taruna Sei Rotan School, Percut Sei Tuan District. The participants of the activities involved in the community partnership program service activities were all SMA and SMK teachers in the YAPIM Taruna Sei Rotan School. This school does not yet have a personal online learning media/system that can be used as an alternative to distance learning, especially for use during the current Covid 19 pandemic. Also, most of the teachers in this school do not have experience in using online learning media/systems. This is due to the lack of opportunities for teachers to be able to take part in training in the use of media / online learning systems. Teachers at this school expect training to use the online learning system which is free of charge because the salary they receive is still minimal. The solution taken to overcome this problem is to create an online learning system with the school website and continue with training and mentoring its use. The method of implementation is carried out by methods of training, practice, and mentoring. The results obtained from this service activity are an online learning system YAPIM Taruna Sei Rotan and the teachers have good skills in using the online learning system as an alternative to learning during the Covid 19 pandemic. Abstrak Kegiatan Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Sekolah YAPIM Taruna Sei Rotan Kecamatan Percut Sei Tuan. Peserta kegiatan yang terlibat dalam kegiatan pengabdian skema program kemitraan masyarakat ini adalah seluruh Guru SMA dan SMK yang ada di Sekolah YAPIM Taruna Sei Rotan. Sekolah ini belum memiliki media/sistem pembelelajaran online pribadi yang dapat digunakan sebagai alternatif pembelajaran jarak jauh khususnya untuk digunakan di masa pandemic covid 19 saat ini. Selain itu kebanyakan guru-guru di sekolah ini belum memiliki pengalaman dalam menggunakan media/sistem pembelajaran online. Hal ini dikarenakan minimnya kesempatan para guru untuk dapat mengikuti pelatihan penggunaan media/sistem pembelajaran online. Guru-Guru di sekolah ini mengharapkan adanya pelatihan penggunaan sistem pembelajaran online yang tidak berbayar karena gaji yang diterima masih minim. Solusi yang dilakukan untuk mengatasi permasalahan ini adalah dengan membuat sistem pembelajaran online yang dengan website sekolah dan dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan dan pendampingan penggunaannya. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan dengan metode pelatihan, praktik dan pendampingan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari kegiatan pengabdian ini yaitu sebuah sistem pembelajaran online YAPIM Taruna Sei Rotan dan Guru-Guru telah memiliki keterampilan yang baik dalam menggunakan sistem pembelajaran online sebagai alternatif pembelajaran di masa pandemic covid 19.
