Abstract

Aktivitas beberapa media dalam pemilihan presiden tahun 2014 menjadi cermin meningkatnya peran media dalam proses suksesi pemilihan. Masalahnya, ada isu independensi yang mengemuka karena pemberitaan yang tidak berimbang saat masa pemilihan. Beberapa penelitian terdahulu menghubungkan pola pemberitaan seperti itu dengan isu kepemilikan media. Pemilik media dianggap memiliki kepentingan pribadi atas konten yang dimunculkan. Reese dan Shoemaker (1996) meyakini konten media dipengaruhi berbagai faktor, salah satunya kepemilikan media. Penelitian ini didekati secara kualitatif menggunakan analisis framing dari Gamson-Mondigliani. Mengambil objek penelitian Koran Sindo yang berada dalam grup MNC milik Hari Tanoesoedibjo, penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada upaya pembingkaian berita tentang sosok Joko Widodo secara negatif. Pembingkaian yang dilakukan Koran Sindo mengisyaratkan agenda tersembunyi di balik teks berita yang disampaikan media. Seakan mendukung riset terdahulu, penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa isi media bukanlah sebuah cermin dari realitas yang sebenarnya, tetapi dibentuk oleh berbagai faktor yang menghasilkan berbagai versi yang berbeda dari realitas. Ada faktor kepemilikan yang memberikan pengaruh pada agenda penyusunan teks media.Kata kunci: framing, kepemilikan media, media massa, pemberitaan, pemilihan presiden.

Abstract

 Sebagai salah satu negara yang terletak di lempengan Indo-Australia dan Eurasia, Indonesia rawan terhadap berbagai jenis bencana alam seperti gunung meletus dan gempa bumi yang seringkali diikuti oleh tsunami. Bencana alam bisa terjadi kapan saja dan di mana saja, tidak terkecuali di wilayah-wilayah yang menjadi destinasi wisata. Ketika bencana alam melanda objek wisata Indonesia, saat itu pula organisasi kepariwisataan Indonesia mengalami krisis, di antaranya adalah objek wisata itu sendiri, hotel, restoran, dan semua organisasi terkait lainnya. Maka dari itu diperlukan penanggulangan krisis yang tepat. Penelitian ini berusaha mengamati strategi penanganan krisis yang terjadi di sektor pariwisata Indonesia yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah, dalam hal ini adalah Badan Nasional Penanggulangan Bencana (BNPB). Menggunakan paradigma post-positivistik, penelitian ini dekati secara kualitatif dengan strategi penelitian deskriptif melalui wawancara mendalam kepada informan terpilih, yaitu unsur pengarah BNPB Indonesia. Hasil dari penelitian ini menemukan bahwa Indonesia menangani krisis di sektor pariwisata dengan beberapa tahap seperti rehabilitasi, rekonstruksi, dan recovery (pemulihan) hingga build back better.

Abstract

Branding suatu wilayah sangat penting dirumuskan untuk dapat mengangkat karakteristik daerah tertentu di kancah nasional maupun internasional. Ketika suatu kota mempunyai ciri khas yang unik, maka akan dapat menarik minat wisatawan lokal maupun wisatawan asing untuk berkunjung ke kota tersebut. Dengan demikian sektor pariwisata kota itu dapat diandalkan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat sekitarnya dan meningkatkan pendapatan daerah mereka. Artikel ini merupakan hasil pelatihan dalam rangka Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh Program Studi Ilmu Komunikasi Kalbis Institute. Pelatihan ini diberikan kepada Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Kabupaten Belitung Timur dan beberapa pemangku kepentingan terkait lainnya. Tujuan pelatihan ini di antaranya adalah memberikan pemahaman mengenai branding kota dan pendampingan bagi peserta pelatihan dalam merumuskan branding Kabupaten Belitung Timur. Metode pelaksanaan pelatihan daring ini dimediasi oleh aplikasi Zoom dengan perangkat berupa laptop, komputer, maupun telepon pintar yang digunakan oleh pembicara dan para peserta. Pelatihan ini berhasil merumuskan peta wisata untuk beberapa desa di Kabupaten Belitung Timur beserta keunggulannya. Kata Kunci: Branding, Pariwisata, Kota, Belitung Timur

Abstract

Dangdut in Indonesia is phenomenal entertainment. Authors observed how valuable dangdut that should be preserved as cultural existence, the enthusiasm for dangdut, popularity and its variations can reach a lot of people who hear it. However it is very far from the expectations of many people, especially from the observer music, music lovers, culturalist, intellectual circles, as well as the wider community. Obviously, they wanted an authentic dangdut, Indonesian character, manners in the work and performance on stage. Therefore, the author deems it necessary role of youth as young people in contributing good ideas, suggestions and constructive criticism for future glory dangdut. In the analysis required reception analysis, the meaning of which is negotiated by individual media based on their experience. Audiences implementing various social and cultural backgrounds obtained previously to read the text, so that the audience has different characteristics will interpret a text differently. Important for researchers to explore the meaning of teens that are based on things related to then bring up the 'messages' audience (teenagers) to dangdut has been packaged media. Keywords: dangdut, media, receiption studies, teenager

Abstract

E-Commerce is a development of technology. This study aims to analyze the usage of chat functions on e-commerce used by PT Sanwell Austindo in building the company's reputation so that we can find out the role of chat functions on e-commerce that has an impact on the company's sustainability. This research uses constructivism paradigm, case study method, qualitative approach, type of descriptive research, with data collection techniques obtained from semistructured interviews and documentation. The findings were chosen because the chat functions as a communication channel of PT Sanwell Austindo need a response speed. These characteristic uses are considered effective in communicating messages and can create a sense of trust. Consumer satisfaction takes precedence because it is the basis for the company's reputation. In it’s future business strategy, PT Sanwell Austindo applies consumer trust, innovation, social responsibility, internal company guidance, and completes product descriptions online market to be more informative.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the meaning of 'Gotong Royong' in GOTO's YouTube video by applying Hofstede's Cultural Dimensions. The world keeps on revolving and more technologies has appeared to make life in all aspects easier. GOTO is a newly merged tech giant of Gojek and Tokopedia as one of the most popular e-commerce in Indonesia. In order to be accepted by society, GOTO creates a creative ad with a philosophical message that not only aims to market their products but also to introduce 'Gotong Royong,' which is the culture of Indonesia. Through Philip Mayring, Qualitative Content Analysis helps us to explain the Hofstede six cultural dimensions through the mixture of visual and audio found in GOTO's. In order the emphasize the “Gotong Royong” culture, by using Philip Mayring Qualitative Content Analysis, the video was divided into parts that represent the audio and visual elements, GoTo's video tries to show a cultural message that is "Gotong Royong" which is the culture of Indonesia. This research found that GOTO implemented their 'Gotong Royong' motto and combined it with the goal of establishing GOTO, which is to increase the country's economic growth.

Abstract

Ondel-ondel buskers are increasing day by day. Cempaka Putih Raya Street, is one of the busiest culinary areas in Central Jakarta. The location is a strategic area for buskers to lead their Ondel-ondels, not all visitors on Cempaka Putih Raya Street come from a Betawi cultural background or from Jakarta. This phenomenon is a concern for the researcher, especially in the shifting of the Ondel-ondel’s interpretation. This study aims to determine the shift in the interpretation of Ondel-ondel’s sacrality in the Original Betawi and Mixed Betawi generation. The researcher conducted a semi-structured interview with six informants, consisting of Original Betawi people and Mixed Betawi people. This type of research is comparative descriptive, the researcher made comparations from the answers of four informants. The result show that there was a shift in Ondel-ondel’s sacred image obtained from testing the perception of informants. The results show that Ondel-ondel’s meaning has experienced a modification in interpretation. The modification that occurred is the shift from sacrality into commodity due to the Ondel-ondel busker phenomenon.

Abstract

The role of the principal as a leader must be distinct from the existing leadership style. The leadership style of a top school influences teachers' good and bad performance in the school institution where they teach. The purpose of this article is to find out: (1) The leadership style of the principal of SD Negeri 01 Dororejo. (2) Teacher Performance at SD Negeri 01 Dororejo. This research uses a qualitative approach with the case study method, with a single case study type. Researchers used data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and concluding the data that has been presented and reduced in guaranteeing the validity of the data using triangulation techniques and sources. The results of the study concluded that the leadership of the principal of SD Negeri 01 Dororejo uses two leadership styles, namely theauthoritarian leadership style, in disciplining teachers in daily attendance and completing administration. In comparison, in the following leadership style, namely the democratic leadership style, the principal gives freedom for teachers to develop theirabilities in various activities.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic exposed both the strengths and limits of government crisis and risk communication digitally connected but socially diverse societies such as Indonesia. Rapid dissemination was achieved, yet misinformation, declining trust, and uneven digital literacy constrained public engagement. This study examines digital literacy as a mediating factor between information provision and citizen empowerment during Indonesia’s pandemic response. Using a case study of central government communication, it analyzes regulations, public messaging, and digital engagement practices to refine an existing crisis and risk communication model. By integrating the Crisis and Emergency Risk Communication (CERC) framework and Situational Crisis Communication Theory (SCCT), the research highlights how transparency, participation, and inclusivity can be systematically embedded into government communication. Findings shows that digital literacy is not only a technical skill but also a socio-political resource shaping trust, compliance, and resilience. The proposed model shift emphasis from one-way information delivery toward participatory, trust-based, and digitally inclusive practices. While grounded in Indonesia, the study offers comparative insights for other contexts where digital innovation intersects with fragile trust and uneven preparedness. This study contributes theoretically by extending CERC and SCCT with a literacy dimension, and practically by outlining pathways for governments to foster resilience through digital literacy initiatives.
