Abstract

Fasting is one strategy to overcome the problem by giving the minimum possible amount of feed but the growth of the fish is not hampered. Fasting also means feed with a predetermined time interval in the hope that the fish can experience an increase in appetite after the fish are fasted. This study aims to determine the fisting effect of tilapia and feed efficiency et growth which fasting is the best to do. The research method used a simple completely randomized design with four treatments and two repetitions each, namely feed without fasting (treatment A), one day of fasting one day of feed (treatment B), one day fasting two days of feed (treatment C) and one day of fasting and three days of feed (treatment D). Fish were to eating three times a day at 08.00, 12.00, 17.00 at satiation. Fish seeds were given pellet feed as much as 3% of body weight. The results of analysis of variance test showed that fish feeding had no significant effect (P<0.05) at growth in weight and length and feed efficiency but significantly (P>0.05) at survival rate. The results showed that the best weight and length growth values in tilapia were found in treatment D with an average weight growth value of 12.20±0.22 gram, length 2.41±0.24 cm. The best feed efficiency was found in treatment B, which was 60.83±6.60% and the best survival was found in treatment A a with an average value of 86.67±0,00%.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPemijahan ikan merupakan salah satu proses tahapan perkembangbiakan induk ikan jantan dan betina yang yang matang gonad. Pemijahan ikan yang sering dilakukan adalah pemijahan secara semi buatan dan buatan dengan menggunakan hormone sintesis seperti ovaprim maupun mengunakan hormone secara alami yang diproduksi oleh kelenjar hipofisa pada ikan donor. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh dosis ekstrak kelenjar hipofisa ikan mas dengan perlakuan dosis 0.5 ml, 1.0 ml, 1.5 ml terhadap derajat pembuahan telur (FR), derajat penetasan (HR), dan kelangsungan hidup (SR) ikan lele sangkuriang. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen penyuntikan dosis kelenjar hormone hipofisa ikan mas untuk menganalisis pengaruhnya dalam pemijahan induk ikan lele sangkuriang secara semibuatan. Hasil penelitian terhadap penggunaan dosis kelenjar hipofisa ikan mas untuk pemijahan ikan lele sangkuriang didapat nilai rata-rata derajat pembuahan telur tertinggi pada perlakuan dosis 1.5 ml sebesar 87.1 %, nilai rata-rata derajat penetasan tertinggi pada perlakuan dosis 1.5 ml sebesar 30.7 % dan nilai rata-rata  tingkat kelangsungan hidup tertinggi pada perlakuan dosis 1.5 ml sebesar 97.4 %. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah penggunaan dosis kelenjar hipofisa ikan mas yang terbaik yaitu pada perlakuan D dengan dosis 1.5 ml.Kata kunci: Kelenjar hipofisa ikan mas, pemijahan semi buatan, ikan lele sangkuriangABSTRACTFish spawning is one of the stages breeding process of mature male and female brood fish. Fish spawning that is often done is semi-artificial and artificial spawning using synthetic hormones such as ovaprim or using natural hormones produced by the pituitary gland in donor fish. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of carp pituitary gland extract with doses of 0.5 ml, 1.0 ml, 1.5 ml on the degree of egg fertilization (FR), hatching rate (HR), and survival (SR) of sangkuriang catfish. The method used was the experimental method of injecting doses of the pituitary gland hormone of carp to analyze its effect on the spawning of the broodstock of sangkuriang catfish in a semi-artificial manner. The results of the study on the use of the pituitary gland dose of carp for spawning sangkuriang catfish obtained the highest average degree of egg growth at the 1.5 ml dose treatment of 87.1%, the highest hatching rate average value at the 1.5 ml dose treatment of 30.7% and the average value The highest average survival rate at a dose of 1.5 ml was 97.4%. The conclusion of this study is the use of the best dose of carp pituitary gland, namely in treatment D with a dose of 1.5 ml.Keywords: Carp pituitary gland, semi artificial spawning, sangkuriang catfish

Abstract

The aims of this service is to increase the knowledge and skills of fish traders in handling yellowfin tuna by bulking using crushed ice cubes without mixing with water in the box and controlling the quality of fish using an organoleptic table score sheet during cooling process for three days. The method used is the early preparation of the training by conducting a pretest, delivering material and discussion, observing the quality assessment of fish by describing the changes that occur during storage with an explanation of the application theory as well as the implementation of practicum, interviews and evaluation of the final results of the activity by conducting a post-test. The results of the community service implementation attended by 15 participants from fish traders, about 48% was good in understanding and mastering the knowledge of refrigeration fish, about 28% was sufficient in accepting the knowledge and 24% was lacking in understanding the knowledge of refrigeration fish. The average value after given the training is 64.1.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the survival rate (SR), the Average Daily Growth (ADG), and the Feed Conversion Ratio (FCR) of Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) with a dynamic system model. The dynamic system model is used to determine the optimal value of the three variables. The results showed that the survival rate, average daily growth, and feed conversion ratio of tilapia cultivation were 93% (SR), 3.2gr/day (ADG), 0.73 (FCR). In this research, tilapia  production were 14,199gr, the amount of feed were 10.344gr and the length of cultivation were 65 days. It was hoped that the dynamic system model design could have tilapia farmers to develop aquaculture businesses that was more environmentally friendly, effective and efficient.

Abstract

Ikan tuna sirip kuning memiliki kandungan protein tinggi berkisar antara 22,6-26,2 gr/100 gr daging dan lemak yang rendah berkisar antara 0,2-2,7 gr/100 gr daging. Minimnya pengetahuan masyarakat nelayan tentang manfaat kandungan gizi ikan dan cara pengolahan daging ikan tuna menjadi produk dendeng giling manis. Dengan demikian maka perlu dilakukan pelatihan pengolahan daging ikan tuna sirip kuning segar disubtitusi jantung pisang kepok dan bumbu-bumbu menjadi dendeng giling manis dengan mutu organoleptik baik. Metode yang digunakan adalah penyampaian materi dan diskusi, melakukan pre-test, praktek pembuatan dendeng, pegujian mutu organoleptik, pengemasan produk serta evaluasi hasil akhir dengan dilakukan post-test. Hasil pre-test menunjukkan 85% peserta kurang memahami tentang produk dendeng sedangkan hasil post-test sekitar 92% peserta paham atas teori pembuatan dendeng giling manis. Kesimpulan pengabdian adalah pencampuran komposisi tepung tapioka, gula merah dan bumbu perlu diperhitungkan dengan baik karena berpengaruh pada tekstur, kenampakan, rasa dan bau dendeng serta ketebalan dendeng 3 mm adalah terbaik.

Abstract

ABSTRAKPermasalahan dalam budidaya ikan lele adalah penyakit yang disebabkan oleh infeksi parasit. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis ektoparasit dan mengkategorikan tingkat prevalensi, intensitas dan dominasi ektoparasit pada benih ikan lele sangkuriang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan bulan Juli 2022. Metode yang digunakan yaitu pengambilan sampel benih ikan lele sebanyak 80 ekor secara acak, pemeriksaan ektoparasit dan pengukuran kualitas air. Proses identifikasi ektoparasit dilakukan di laboratorium Balai Karantina Ikan Pengendalian dan Mutu kelas 1 Sentani. Hasil identifikasi ektoparasit diperoleh tiga jenis parasit yaitu Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., dan Trichodina sp.. Ektoparasit tersebut menyerang organ yang berbeda yaitu lendir, insang dan sirip. Parasit yang paling banyak ditemukan adalah dari ordo monogenea yaitu jenis Dactylogyrus sp. dengan tingkat prevalensi 60% dalam kategori Frequently (sangat sering). Sedangkan ektoparasit dengan prevalensi terendah yaitu Gyrodactylus sp. dan Trichodina sp. dengan tingkat prevalensi 30%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian adalah nilai rataan prevalensi Dagtylogyrus sp. sebesar 48,75%, Gyrodagtylus sp. sebesar 21,25% dan Tricodina sp. sebesar 21,25 %. Selanjutnya nilai rataan intensitas Dagtylogyrus sp. adalah 2,50 %, Gyrodagtylus sp. adalah 1,55 % dan Tricodina sp. adalah 1,64 %. Kemudian nilai rataan dominansi Dagtylogyrus sp. sebesar 64,73 %, Gyrodagtylus sp. sebesar 17,02 % dan Tricodina sp. sebesar 18,23%.  Kata kunci: benih ikan lele, ektoparasit, prevalensi, kualitas air.ABSTRACTThe problem in cultivating catfish is disease caused by parasitic infections. The aim of the research was to identify the types of ectoparasites and categorize the level of prevalence, intensity and dominance of ectoparasites in Sangkuriang catfish fry. This research was carried out in July 2022. The method used was random sampling of 80 catfish seeds, checking for ectoparasites and measuring water quality. The ectoparasite identification process was carried out in the Sentani class 1 Fish Control and Quality Quarantine Center laboratory. The results of ectoparasite identification showed three types of parasites, namely Dactylogyrus sp., Gyrodactylus sp., and Trichodina sp.. These ectoparasites attack different organs, namely mucus, gills and fins. The most common parasites found are from the order Monogenea, namely the type Dactylogyrus sp. with a prevalence rate of 60% in the Frequently category (very often). Meanwhile, the ectoparasite with the lowest prevalence is Gyrodactylus sp. and Trichodina sp. with a prevalence rate of 30%. The conclusion of the research is that the average prevalence value of Dagtylogyrus sp. of 48.75%, Gyrodagtylus sp. of 21.25% and Tricodina sp. amounting to 21.25%. Furthermore, the average intensity value of Dagtylogyrus sp. is 2.50 %, Gyrodagtylus sp. is 1.55% and Tricodina sp. is 1.64%. Then the average value of dominance of Dagtylogyrus sp. of 64.73%, Gyrodagtylus sp. amounted to 17.02% and Tricodina sp. amounting to 18.23%.Keywords: catfish seeds, ectoparasites, prevalence, water quality
