Abstract

Abstract Camouflage is an adaptation where animals can blend into the colors and patterns of their environment. Lopaphus transiens has a color that is similar to the color of its environment. The aim of this study is to determine the level of similarity of L. transiens body color with the habitat in Mount Andong, Magelang, Central Java. The data were retrieved using a VES (Visual Encounter Survey) method by taking pictures with a Canon 1200D camera. The RGB (Red, Green, Blue) mean values from photographs of 16 males and 16 females were calculated with the ImageJ software to found the Euclidian Distance out and were tested with SPSS. Euclidian Distance (D) is used to measure the range of the color’s similarity between two objects. This conformity index range from 0 (similar) to 1 (different). There were no significant differences between animal’s D and their environment in both gender. The D value of L. transiens male was 0.087 and 0.125 in females, both had small values and there were not significantly different. The conclusion was both male and female had a great camouflage ability in their environment. Therefore, the camouflaging capability of L. transiens can be applied in military sector. Keywords: Camouflage; Color; Lopaphus transiens; Euclidian Distance; Military Abstrak Kamuflase adalah adaptasi dimana hewan seloah dapat menyatu dengan warna dan pola lingkungan mereka. Kamuflase telah diadopsi oleh manusia, terutama di sektor militer. Lopaphus transiens memiliki warna yang sangat mirip dengan warna lingkungannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui tingkat kesamaan warna tubuh L. transiens dengan habitatnya di Gunung Andong, Magelang, Jawa Tengah. Data diambil menggunakan metode VES (Visual Encounter Survey) dengan mengambil gambar dengan kamera Canon 1200D. Data diperoleh dari foto-foto 16 individu jantan dan 16 betina. Nilai rata-rata RGB (Red, Green, Blue) dihitung dengan bantuan perangkat lunak ImageJ. Setiap rata-rata RGB dari setiap sampel dirata-rata untuk mengetahui Euclidian Distance pada individu jantan dan betina kemudian diuji dengan SPSS. Euclidian Distance (D) digunakan untuk mengukur rentang kesamaan warna antara dua objek. Indeks kesesuaian ini berkisar dari 0 (mirip) hingga 1 (berbeda). Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara D hewan dan lingkungannya pada masing-masing gender. Nilai D dari L. transiens jantan adalah 0,087 sedangkan nilai pada betina adalah 0,125, keduanya memiliki nilai kecil dan tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan. Jadi, dapat disimpulkan bahwa keduanya memiliki kemampuan kamuflase yang baik di lingkungan mereka. Kemampuan kamuflase L. transiens dapat diterapkan, dengan modifikasi, untuk meningkatkan kemampuan kamuflase sektor militer. Abstract

This research aimed to study spatio temporal behavior of the female ricefield rat, Rattus argentiventer, including home range, range spans, habitat use and daily activity. Twelve rats were released in two locations of a ricefield area from June 11th until July 24th, 2001. The movement of each rat was monitored using radio-tracking three times a day. The result was used for calculating home range size, range spans, habitat used and daily activities of female field-rats, using the computer program Ranges V. The results showed that the average female ricefield-rat’s home ranges and range spans were 0.84  0.16 Ha and 184.54  22.7m respectively. During daylight, the rats spent 82%, 16% and 2% of their activity living in dikes, in villages and in ricefield respectively. On the contrary, during the night 95%, 3% and 2% of the rats were active in the ricefield, villages and dikes respectively.

Abstract

The research was conducted in April-May 2010 in North Maluku watersbelonging to the District Luwuk Banggai, Central Sulawesi Province. This area is located atcoordinates 2 ° S - 4 ° S and 123 ° E - 126 ° east. Data processing was done at OceanAcoustics Laboratory, Department of Marine Science and Technology, Bogor AgriculturalUniversity and Marine Geological Institute (MGI) in Bandung. Seismic data processingusing the data in SEG-Y format. The data was computed with Seisee software and bandpass filtering using Matlab. Based on the results of research, it is evident that increasing thefrequency band was followed by the higher the resolution. Sampling point 30 in the form ofsandy clay sediments has an impedance value of 2.49 and the value of reflection coefficientof 0.23. While the sampling point 31 in the form of silty clay in the study showed the valueof the impedance of 1,93 with the reflection coefficient of 0.11.

Abstract

Guru dituntut untuk mampu melakukan penyesuaian terhadap perubahan perkembanganTeknologi, Informasi dan Komunikasi (TIK), diantaranya mampu menciptakan pembelajaran yang inovatif, efektif dan kreatif yang terintegrasi dengan teknologi. Namun kenyataan yang terjadi, masih banyak guru yang belum menguasai media pembelajaran terutama media penilaian hasil belajar yang berbasis teknologi. Hal ini serupa dialami oleh guru-guru MGMP KKMASurabaya yang masih menggunakan cara konvensional dalam penilaian hasil belajar siswa yaitu berbasis kertas (paper based test). Oleh sebab itu, pelatihan pemanfaatandigitalized assement menggunakan platform kahootsebagaiasesmendalampembelajaran penting untuk dilakukan agar guru-guru MGMPKKMASurabaya mampu menggunakan fitur-fitur kahoot dalam membuat instrumen penilaian hasil belajar siswa dan dapat memanfaatkan media tersebut dalam pembelajaran di era digital. Adapun metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah metodeParticipatory Action Research dengan tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, evaluasi dan refleksi. Abstract

Differentiated learning is essential to implement in the learning process. This urgency is because not all students' competencies, which include initial abilities and learning outcomes, are the same. Thus the learning needs are different. This training aims to increase teacher competency in product-based differentiation learning. Place of training at SDN 163 Gresik. The activity was attended by 58 participants representing teachers from Cluster 2 Gresik. Case studies, discussions, questions and answers, workshops, and mentoring are used to implement community service. This activity resulted in the design of product-based differentiated teaching modules. After training, the results showed that 25 people gained excellent understanding, 27 people gained good understanding, and 6 people gained sufficient understanding. In conclusion, it is important to carry out community service activities so that teachers can learn about differentiated learning well.

Abstract

The purpose of this community service was to provide training on the use of digital media for learning for elementary school teachers. This activity took place at SDN Klantingsari 1 Tarik, attended by representatives of elementary school teachers from the Tarik sub-district. Teachers received training on Olabs digital learning media for elementary school teachers. The results showed a 50% increase in teacher competency in using Olabs digital learning media.
