Abstract

Abstract This research aims to improve the career maturity of students of SMK Yosonegoro in Magetan Regency, East Java. Career maturity is the readiness of individuals to face the tasks of career development according to their stage of development. However, some students of SMK Yosonegoro face challenges related to career maturity. To overcome this problem, the researchers conducted community service activities that included several stages, namely: interviewing BK and 2 students to obtain initial data on the problems faced by students; giving a career maturity scale consisting of 33 items to 16 grade 12 students as a sample to measure their level of career maturity before and after participating in psychoeducation; providing psychoeducation on career maturity that contains material on career maturity strategies and raising awareness about careers in the future for students; and analysis of post-test data using Excel to find the average and standard deviation to determine the category range of low, medium, and high on the post-test results. From the results of the post-test data analysis, it was found that most students (12 people) had a moderate level of career maturity, only one person had a low level of career maturity, and three people had a high level of career maturity. This shows that the psychoeducation given has a positive impact on increasing students’ career maturity.Thus, it can be concluded that this community service activity successfully helped students of SMK Yosonegoro in improving their career maturity according to their stage of career development. Abstract

The online learning resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic has caused various problems that have led to academic stress among students. The purpose of this research is to investigate the relationship between coping strategies and academic adjustment with academic stress among students during online learning in the COVID-19 pandemic. The subjects of this study were 230 students from the 2018 and 2019 classes of the Psychology Faculty of Muhammadiyah University Surakarta who have transitioned from offline to online learning, selected using purposive sampling technique. The method used in this research is quantitative correlational. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. The results of this research indicate a significant correlation between coping strategies and academic adjustment with academic stress (R=0.368, sig=0.000). The effective contribution of coping strategies and academic adjustment to academic stress was 13.6%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari apakah ada perbedaan status kecerdasan moral pra sekolah dengan status ibu yang bekerja dan ibu rumah tangga dalam. Subyek penelitian adalah anak pra sekolah yang berusia 5-6 tahun di salah satu TK di Klaten yang berjumlah 68 anak. Teknik sampling yang digunakan dengan studi populasi. Pengukuran kecerdasan moral di ukur menggunakan sebuah booklet dengan gambar situasi-situasi yang memerlukan tindakan moral. Analisis yang digunakan adalah dengan T-test. Hasil dari penelitian ini menyatakan tidak ada perbedaan kecerdasan moral anak ditinjau dari status ibu, baik sebagai ibu rumah tangga maupun sebagai pekerja. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan ditolaknya hipotesis dengan nilai t = 1,080 dengan p=0,285 (p0,05), yang berarti bahwa tidak ada perbedaan pada kecerdasan moral anak usia pra sekolah ditinjau dari status ibu.   Kata kunci : anak pra sekolah, ibu pekerja, ibu rumah tangga, kecerdasan moral, status ibu

Abstract

The ideal family consists of father, mother and child, but it is different if there is spouse death or divorce so father or mother becomes single parent. Islam considers that mother is the main caregiver (madrasatul ula), but it is not found if there is death of a mother or child who follows their father when their parents divorce. Nevertheless, a single father is still optimize the nurturing to his children. This study aims to explore the internalization of Islamic values of a single father parenting. This study used qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach. The research subjects consisted of 6 single fathers. Data is collected with interview. Analysis is done by descriptive analysis. The results show that the values include religy, self value, responsible for the tasks, and social interaction. It can be concluded that a single father continues to carry out parenting by applying Islamic values.

Abstract

The family is the first unit related to a person's physical and psychological development.Therefore, the psychological well-being of the family becomes one of the benchmarks forthe welfare of the individual in it. The purpose of this study was to determineKesejahteraan psikologis at the family level in terms of gender and education level in earlyadulthood. The method used in this research is comparative quantitative. The subjects ofthis study were selected by purposive sampling and revealed 122 early adults on the islandof Java. This study uses a two-way Anova test to test the hypothesis. The results obtainedare: 1) there is no difference in the Kesejahteraan psikologis chosen by the family in termsof gender and early adult education level with p=0.372; 2) there are differences in theKesejahteraan psikologis of families in terms of gender with a significance value of 0.046and; 3) there is no difference in family Kesejahteraan psikologis in terms of education levelwith a significance of 0.246.

Abstract

The present study aimed to investigate the quality of life of elderly Qur'an memorizers. Nine elderly Muslims who live in several regions in Java Island, Indonesia, were involved as informants. The informant was recruited by purposive sampling. The data collection method used a semi-structured interview technique. Data analysis used phenomenological techniques to uncover research objectives. The result showed that: In general, the memorizing Qur'an has an important influence on the elderly's quality of life. Specifically, the quality of life of the elderly can be seen in the improvement of several areas such as patience, self-concept, self-esteem, ability to remember, and self-confidence. In addition, the elderly felt that their role was more accepted by the community, one of whom was trusted to teach the Qur'an in the mosque.

Abstract

Mahasiswa selama pembelajaran online pandemi COVID-19 mengalami stres akademik akibat perubahan situasi pembelajaran yang berbeda. Alat ukur stres akademik memerlukan modifikasi dan validasi properti psikometrik yang sesuai dengan situasi yang terjadi. Penelitian ini melaporkan mengenai modifikasi dan validasi alat ukur berdasarkan Student-Life Stress Inventory (SLSI) oleh Gadzella (1991). Sebanyak 230 responden mahasiswa telah memenuhi kriteria. Uji exploratory dan confirmatory factor analysis telah membuktikan bahwa model stres akademik menghasilkan 2 faktor yang sesuai dengan aspek konstruk stres akademik. Model tersebut telah memenuhi kriteria parameter yang baik sebagai berikut; CFI: 0.97 (>0.95), TLI: 0.97 (>0.95), SRMR: 0.40 (<0.08), dan RMSEA: 0.40 (<0.06). Model modifikasi SLSI memiliki 11 aitem final dengan validitas Aiken’s V tiap aitem yang baik (V: 0.75 - 0.91 (>0.75)) dan reliabilitas Alpha-Cronbach dan McDonald Omega total yang baik (α: 0,8 (>0.7); ω: 0.8 (>0.7)). Alat ukur modifikasi SLSI ini dapat digunakan untuk mengukur stres akademik mahasiswa dalam situasi yang tidak menentu seperti pembelajaran online pandemi COVID-19.

Abstract

Kesehatan lansia dalam fisik maupun mental yang dapat dipengaruhi oleh beberapa factor, baik dari kesehatan lansia sendiri, ataupun pada bagaimana keluarga lansia dalam menjaga lansia tersebut. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan informasi atau penyuluhan kepada lansia dan masyarakat atau keluarga lansia yang lain mengenai cara merawat lansia dan memberikan arahan mengenai apa saja yang dibutuhkan lansia dalam hal fisik dan mental. Pemberian informasi, dilakukan dengan cara edukasi kepada empat lansia, yang diberikan secara langsung dengan mengunjungi rumah lansia. Untuk mengukur efektifitas edukasi ini diukur dengan pre test dan post test yang diisi oleh keluarga lansia, serta wawancara untuk memperdalam bagaimana keadaan lansia. Hasil edukasi ini dilihat dari skor pre test dan post test, tidak menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang berarti. Berdasarkan hasil wawancara kepada lansia didapatkan permasalahn pada lansia ada pada kesehatan fisik (pola makan, dan olah raga), dan kesehatan mental (keluarga jarang menanyakan kabar). Abstract

Advances in technology have both positive and negative impacts., When an individual acts and it injures another person using information technology media, then it can be considered as an activity of cyberbullying. However, the problems caused by cyberbullying cannot be ignored, especially cyberbullying among the high school students. This study explored the intensity of cyberbullying and other factors (gender, cyberperpetrator, bystanders, forms of cyberbullying and the victims) among high school students in Surakarta. The survey method was performed on 290 students at junior high school and 200 students at senior high school in Surakarta . Data collectionwas assessed by the scale of cyberbullying. The results of this study showed that 308 subjects or around 62.9% had never done cyberbullying activity and 37.1% subject had ever done cyberbullying activity. The respondents did cyberbullying for amusement, it means that one among the intentions of cyberbullying was to make fun someting or someone, because they had many time using the internet access (33.9% had more than 3 hours/day). The forms of cyberbullying in high school students was by sending or posting gossip or rumors to damage a reputation of someone or something.

Abstract

Nomophobia, a modern psychological issue characterized by fear or anxiety when unable to access mobile phones, has become increasingly prevalent among university students. This study aims to examine the relationship between social support and self-control with nomophobia among undergraduate students. The research employed a quantitative correlational design with incidental sampling, involving 150 undergraduate students enrolled between 2021 and 2024. Data were collected through online questionnaires using three measurement scales, the Nomophobia Scale, the Social Support Scale, and the Self-Control Scale. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The results showed that the overall model was significant (p = 0.00), indicating that social support and self-control jointly influence nomophobia. However, social support was not a significant predictor of nomophobia (t = 1.074; p = 0.285), whereas self-control demonstrated a significant negative relationship with nomophobia (t = −3.965; p = 0.000). In terms of effective contribution, self-control accounted for 9.5% of the variance in nomophobia, and social support contributed only 0.6%. In conclusion, the findings suggest that students with higher self-control tend to experience lower levels of nomophobia. These results imply the importance of developing self-regulation skills in educational settings to mitigate the risks associated with excessive mobile phone dependence.
