Abstract

The study aimed to discover the combination of the variables of social relationships and means for self-fulfillment was effective for predicting students’ performance in mathematics. The subjects were 83 students of 11th grade of senior high school students in Yogyakarta. The variables were measured using the self-efficacy scale, teacher-student relationships scale, student attachment scale, parent support scale, school climate scale, and mathematics midterm exams. The data were analyzed using Stepwise regression analysis. The results indicated that out of the five independent variables, self-efficacy and teacher-student relationships were the most effective predictors. The contribution of both to mathematic performance amounted 13.3 percent, which was 6.3 percents higher if compared with self-efficacy only as single predictor. In addition, out of the five variables tested, it was the school climate did not have a significant effect on mathematic performance.

Abstract

Kemampuan menilai kesanggupan diri sendiri dalam menjalankan tugas disebut dengan efikasi diri. Kemampuan ini dapat dilakukan semua orang, tidak terkecuali pada anak berkebutuhan khusus. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk  mengetahui bagaimana bentuk efikasi diri dan juga dinamikanya pada anak berkebutuhan khusus penyandang tuna daksa yang sudah berprestasi dalam bidang olah raga. Respoden dalam penelitian ini adalah dua orang anak berkebutuhan khusus yang bersekolah di SDLB Negeri Colomadu, Kabupaten Karanganyar. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa efikasi diri yang tinggi pada anak berkebutuhan khusus dipengaruhi beberapa faktor antara lain: pengalaman keberhasilan, pengalaman orang lain, dan persuasi sosial yang mereka dapatkan ketika dengan pelatih, serta rendahnya kecemasan dari responden.Kata Kunci: Efikasi Diri, Anak Berkebutuhan Khusus, Olah Raga, Atlet.The ability to assess themselves perform the tasks referred to self-efficacy, this ability could be done by everyone, no exception with children with special needs. Respondents in this study were two children with special needs who attend in SDLB Colomadu, Karanganyar. Data collection method is by observation and interviews. The results showed that high self-efficacy in children with special needs is influenced by several factors, among others: the success of the experience, the experience of others, and social persuasion that they get when the coach, and the low level of anxiety of the subject.Keyword: Self efficacy, Special Needs Children, Sport, Athlet

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui  hubungan antara kepercayaan diri seseorang dengan intensitas penggunaan media sosial tiktok di Masa Pandemi.  Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan subjek sebanyak 98 orang respoden. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive random sampling. Skala yang digunakan adalah Skala Kepercayaan diri dan Skala Intensitas Penggunaan Media sosial. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi Product moment. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa tidak ada hubungan antara kepercayaan diri seseorang dengan intensitas penggunaan media sosial tiktok di Masa Pandemi. Berdasarkan data kualitatif dapat diketahui bahwa alasan seseorang menggunakan media sosial tiktok adalah karena selama pandemi jenuh berada di rumah, kebanyakan responden adalah penikmat video yang ada di tiktok dan hanya 10% dari responden yang aktif mengunggah video di Tiktok. Media sosial adalah sarana yang paling banyak digunakan remaja untuk terkoneksi dengan dunia sekitarnya dan juga berkreatifitas mengembangan minat dan bakat, dimasa pandemi ini banyak remaja yang belajar dari rumah sehingga lebih banyak pula menghabiskan waktu di depan smartphone ataupun Laptop sehingga penting bagi orang tua untuk mengawasi anak-anaknya dan tetap membangun komunikasi yang baik dengan anak-anaknya.

Abstract

Identity status is a categorization of self-identity that helps a person to make choices based on the results of exploration and commitment. Learning outcomes vary for each students. Some students achieve excellent grade, others are average or even poor. Identity status may haveaneffecton students’ learning outcomes. This study aims to compare students' learning outcomes based on their identity statuses. This research used a quantitative approach. To examine the hypothesis, researchers used the one-way ANOVA test to answer the research question about a significant difference between students' learning outcomes and their identity status. The samples were 74 third semester students from the English Education Study Program. Data for identity statuses were obtained using a questionnaire with 40 statements. Data for learning outcomes were obtained from final semester test scores. ANOVA test result indicated a significant difference between students' learning outcomes and their identity status. Thus, this study proved that there is a difference between learning outcomes based on identity Status. Therefore, it is vital to know the students' identity status to improve student learning outcomes. Students with a diffusion identity status are in a serious problem. Teachers must find a solution so that their identity status can develop towards a high identity status.

Abstract

Some students have successfully used goal–setting to maintain academic performance throughout their studies. Behind these successes, they implemented the strategy to the fullest, making their goals more manageable. This study explores the strategies of prospective physical education teachers using goal–setting to maintain academic performance. The research team used an exploratory qualitative approach to compare students’ experiences with good and bad academic reputations in maintaining academic performance through observation, interview, and documentation techniques. There were 11 students involved, both those with good academic reputations and vice versa. Spradley’s taxonomic analysis found that students had to reconstruct their way of learning because of traumatic experiences of academic failure and the economic limitations of the family. Goal–setting ensures that students complete their work on time and are more selective in using the clarity of information in lecturer learning designs. In addition, they reduce their learning challenges by learning and acting according to the assessment rubric, commit to each learning task and responsibility, use feedback to improve learning performance, and ensure all learning task needs by developing self–learning strategies.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui orientasi karir pada siswa SMP melalui pilihan-pilihan jurusan yang akan ditempuh setelah lulus dari sekolah. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 419 orang siswa SMP di dua sekolah yaitu SMP N 2 Jatiroto dan SMP N 1 Jatisrono Wonogiri Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan studi  deskriptif dalam mengetahui bagaimana orientasi karir pada siswa SMP kelas VIII di jatoroto dan jatisrono Wonogiri Jawa Tengah. Pengambilan data dengan menggunakan quesionare yang terdiri dari beberapa pertannyaan mengenai pilihan sekolah setelah lulus dari SMP, jurusan yang akan diambil dan juga cita-cita siswa di masa yang akan datang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa 62, 1% siswa memilih sekolah lanjutan ke SMK  dan 22,2% siswa akan melanjutkan sekolah ke SMA dan 15,6% siswa belum memutuskan pilihan sekolah setelah lulus dari SMP. 76% siswa sudah mengetahui jurusan yang akan diambil untuk studi lanjutnya sedangkan 23,4% siswa masih belum mengatahui jurusan yang akan diambil. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa orientasi karir siswa di SMP sudah cukup baik, artinya siswa sudah mampu menentukan pilihan sekolah setelah lulus dari SMP. Dalam penelitian ini di Jatoroto dan Jatisrono banyak siswa yang akan melanjutkan ke sekolah SMK, pilihan paket keahlian yang muncul adalah 30 jurusan yang menjadi pilihan, padahal di Indonesia terdapat 142 Paket keahlian yang dapat dipilih oleh siswa SMK, sehingga diperlukan persiapan dari pihak-pihak terkait untuk memberikan informasi yang banyak mengenai kompetensi dan peluang karir siswa ketika memilih sekolah kejuruan, dan dapat mengoptimalkan proses pendidikan selama di sekolah.

Abstract

Tujuan Studi: Guna mengetahui hubungan antara kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan internet dalam proses belajar daring di Kota Samarinda di beberapa kampus yang ada di Samarinda. Metodologi: Jenis penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengambilan data sampel dengan purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian adalah mahasiswa yang mengikuti proses pembelajaran daring dengan total responden 200 mahasiswa. Pengumpulan data melalui pengisian kuesioner dan menggunakan spss. Hasil: Hasil penelitian ini kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan kecanduan internet dalam proses belajar daring didapatkan hasil p = 0,000< 0,05 dengan nilai korelasi (-) 0,512. Maka H1 diterima sehingga terdapat hubungan yang siginifikan antara kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan kecanduan internet dalam proses belajar daring. Manfaat: Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai informasi baru mengenai hubungan kontrol diri dengan kecenderungan kecanduan internet dalam proses belajar daring.

Abstract

This research aimed to find out the students learning styles, the English achievement, and the correlation between students’ learning styles and English achievement of the second-semester students of University of Muhammadiyah Kalimantan Timur. The design of this study was quantitative research with a correlation design. The sample of the study was 56 students. The instruments of the study were the questionnaire of students’ learning styles and English achievement test. In order to make data become linear one, the researcher converted those data into Z-score and then correlated the converted data using correlate bivariate. The result of the study showed that the mean score of students’ learning styles was 50, that means fair. There were 21 students (38%) preferred visual learning styles, 15 (27%) of students preferred reading learning styles, 13 (23%) students preferred kinesthetic learning styles, 4 (7%) students preferred auditory learning styles and 3 (5%) preferred used two learning styles. Thus, the mean score of students’ English achievement was 50, that means fair. On the other word, there was a significant correlation between students’ learning styles and English achievement. Based on the finding above, it is suggested to language learner to be familiar with their learning styles so that they can benefit the strength of styles and manipulate the weakness of styles. For language teacher, they may take learners style into account for the sake of different learning strategies and ways in carrying out the lesson in the classroom so that they can promote learner’s need.
