Abstract

Lesson study is a learning strategy that emphasizes collaborative activities on planning (plan), implementation of learning (do), and reflection, with the aim of improving the quality of learning, so that students' learning activities and student learning outcomes become good. The purpose of this study is to analyze the activity and student learning outcomes through lesson study. Activities carried out in 3 (three) cycles. Based on the results of reflection and decisions taken by the model teacher, resulting in the application of different learning models from each cycle. It was concluded that in cycle 1 applying the demonstration method, cycle 2 of the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) learning model, cycle 3 applying the TGT model combined with the LCC method. The learning process with the implementation of Lesson Study in Thermochemical material can improve the activity and learning outcomes in the XI IPA class of SMA Muhammadiyah Gubug, Grobogan Regency, 2018/2019 school year. The recommendations of this study are the need for application of other methods in learning Thermochemical content, and comparing their effectiveness. Key word: Lesson Study, Activity, Thermochemistry

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan prestasi belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajran NHT (Numbered Heads Together) pada materi struktur atom kelas X di SMA Negeri 02 Batang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Kelompok eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran NHT (Numbered Heads Together), sedangkan pada kelompok kontrol menggunakanmodel pembelajaran ceramah. Variabel penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu model pembelajaran NHT (Numbered Heads Together) dan variabel terikatnya yaitu prestasi belajar siswa. Populasi dalam penelitian ini mencakup siswa kelas X MIA 1 dan X MIA 3 SMA Negeri 02 Batang  yang berjumlah 72 siswa. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan uji pengaruh dari kedua kelas. Hasil penelitian terbukti terdapat peningkatkan prestasi belajar siswamenggunakan model pembelajaran NHT (Numbered Heads Together) yang dibuktikan dengan harga r sebesar 0,978. Berdasarkan pernyataan tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model NHT (Numbered Heads Together) terhadap upaya peningkatan prestasi belajar kimia siswa pada materi struktur atom kelas X SMA Negeri 02 Batang. Abstract

cidimetry is a titration method used to determine acidic levels such as H2SO4,ISBN: 978-602-5614-24-8 Page 245 3 and HCl with methyl red                       (MR)1% w/v as indicator. As synthetic indicator, MR is relatively expensive, therefore a replacement indicator isneeded. This study aimed to investigate the potential of a natural indicator from secang wood (Caesalpiniasappan l) containing brazillin compounds to be used as replacement of MR. The efectiveness of woodconcentration 0.5; 1.0; 1.5 and  2 % w/v used as indicator of acidimetric titration, particularly for standardizingHCl solution was measured. Next, the minimal concentration of wood secang which can be used as indicator ofacidimetric titration was determined. The result showed that secang wood has potential to be used asreplacement indicator of MR. The percentage difference of concentration of HCl solution using MR indicator1.0% with wood concentration 0,5; 1.0; 1.5 and 2.0 % w/v were 6.7; 6.7; 10.0; and 21 % respectively. Minimumconcentration of wood secang that can be used as indicator in acidimetry is 0.5 %b/v.Keywords: acidimetry, secang wood, natural indicator, and synthetic indicator MR

Abstract

In order to increase  the  activity of TiO2 photocatalyst, preparation and characterization of TiO2-lignin and its activity on Cr(VI) photoreduction have been carried out. TiO2-lignin was prepared by mixing TiO2 powder with lignin powder  in water-ethanol followed by stirring for 24 h and calcination at 400°C. The crystal structure characterizations were performed by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Lignin was identified using FT-IR whereas photoreduction of Cr(VI) was conducted in a batch reactor. The effect of TiO2 content on TiO2-lignin, irradiation time, weight of photocatalyst and initial concentration of Cr(VI) were studied to obtain effectiveness of photoreduction. Activity of TiO2-lignin on the photoreduction of Cr(VI) showed higher result than TiO2. The increased of TiO2 content in TiO2-lignin result in higher Cr(VI) photoreduction and gave maximum yield at mass ratio of TiO2/lignin 2:1. The irradiation time, weight of TiO2-lignin photocatalyst and initial concentration of Cr(VI) obtained for maximum Cr(VI) photoreduction are 40 h, 50 mg and 1 mg/L respectively which reduced Cr(VI) by 81.44%. Keywords: TiO2-lignin, Cr(VI) ion, photoreduction

Abstract

AbstrakPenghilangan surfaktan anionik berupa natrium dodesilbenzenasulfonat (DBS) yang termasuk dalam golongan Linear Alkilbenzena Sulfonat (LAS), telah dilakukan melalui metode fotodegradasi terkatalisis TiO2. Dalam penelitian tersebut telah dipelajari pengaruh konsentrasi DBS dan waktu penyinaran terhadap efektivitas fotodegradasi DBS yang terkatalisis TiO2.Proses fotodegradasi surfaktan DBS dilakukan dengan cara menyinari campuran yang terdiri dari larutan DBS dan serbuk fotokatalis TiO2 dalam reaktor tertutup yang dilengkapi dengan lampu UV dan disertai pengadukan. Kondisi penelitian fotodegradasi adalah 50 mL larutan DBS dengan konsentrasi awal dan waktu penyinaran yang bervariasi. Hasil fotodegradasi ditentukan berdasarkan selisih konsentrasi DBS awal dengan konsentrasi DBS sisa dalam larutan setelah proses fotodegradasi menggunakan metilen biru melalui metode Spektrofotometri UV-Visibel.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penambahan TiO2 dapat meningkatkan efektivitas fotodegradasi surfaktan DBS dari 15,27 % menjadi 98,55 % dari konsentrasi DBS awal 10 ppm. Fotodegradasi DBS terkatalisis TiO2 juga mengalami peningkatan dengan semakin besarnya konsentrasi DBS awal hingga optimum tercapai yaitu pada konsentrsi DBS awal 40 ppm, sebanyak 99,35 % DBS terdegradasi. Waktu penyinaran yang semakin lama dapat meningkatkan efektivitas fotodegradasi surfaktan DBS terkatalisis TiO2 sampai 24 jam dengan hasil degradasi sebesar 98,55 % dan untuk waktu yang lebih lama dapat menyebabkan penurunan efektivitas fotodegradasi.

Abstract

The adsorption of CO2 on MFI (HZSM-5) and ion exchanged MFI (CaZSM-5) zeolites were studied by a temperature programmed desorption (TPD). The adsorption measurements were conducted at temperatures from 323 to 473 K at atmospheric pressure. The results showed that CO2 was adsorbed on HZSM-5 by one type of adsorption, and on CaZSM-5 zeolites by at least two types of adsorption over the temperature range studied. One was a weak adsorption probably due to interaction with the framework of ZSM-5, and the other was a stronger adsorption caused by interactions with the Ca cations of ZSM-5. The adsorption behavior for HZSM-5 was described by a single site Langmuir adsorption model but for CaZSM-5 a dual site Langmuir model was used. The TPD results indicated that the quantity of irreversibly adsorbed CO2 on HZSM-5 was undetectable.
