Abstract

Students in Indonesian language education programs exhibit limited speaking skills, particularly in fluency, clarity, and depth of information. To bridge this gap, this study aims to create a speaking textbook incorporating Tri Hita Karana. This Research and Development (R&D) used the ADDIE approach. The study subjects included six specialist language education experts, a local cultural expert, and a speaking skills instructor, and it was tested on nine third-semester students. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and pre-/post-tests. The research instruments used questionnaires and test items. Data analysis techniques used qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches. The study results showed that the approved textbook received excellent ratings for reflective scaffolding (M = 4.7) and cultural relevance (M = 4.2). The pilot test showed substantial improvements in speaking performance; 80% of students said that reflective exercises improved self-assessment, and 75% effectively integrated Tri Hita Karana ideas into academic and social discussions. It was concluded that the textbook successfully fostered self-confidence, critical thinking, and culturally informed speaking skills. Furthermore, this study implies that reflective and contextually relevant materials can enhance the theory and practice of speaking education.

Abstract

Students often experience difficulties in achieving optimal learning outcomes and showing consistent engagement in learning. The low involvement of students in the teaching and learning process is a serious challenge in improving the quality of education in the digital era. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the digital literacy-based Self-Organized Learning Environment (SOLE) learning model in improving learning outcomes and optimizing student activeness. This research is a quantitative study with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were students, who were taking syntax course. Data collection techniques used learning outcomes tests and student activeness observations, with instruments in the form of pretest-posttest questions and activity observation sheets. Data analysis was carried out by Kolmogorov-Smirnov and Shapiro-Wilk normality tests, as well as paired sample t tests to determine significant differences between pretest and posttest. The results showed a significant increase in learning outcomes and student activeness as evidenced by an increase in the average pretest score after treatment. The conclusion of this study is that the application of the digital literacy-based SOLE model is effective in improving student learning outcomes and activeness. The implication of this study shows that the use of technology-based learning approaches that provide learning independence can be a strategic alternative to improve the quality of education in the digital era.

Abstract

This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR) which aims to; 1) To determine the use of the Discovery Learning method assisted by the Fizzo Novel application media to improve reading comprehension skills in class X-4 students of Saraswati 1 Denpasar High School in the 2024/2025 academic year. 2) To find out the steps of implementing the discovery learning method with the help of the fizzo novel application media to improve the reading comprehension skills of class X-4 students of SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar in the 2024/2025 academic year. Data collection was carried out using observation and test methods. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively qualitatively and quantitatively. Furthermore, data regarding the learning steps were analyzed qualitatively. The results of the study showed that the implementation of the Discovery Learning learning method with the help of the fizzo novel application media was able to improve the reading comprehension skills of class X-4 students of SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar in the 2024/2025academic year. The increase in learning activities can be seen from the enthusiasm of students in responding to learning. Students began to actively observe, try, ask, respond, and express opinions while learning was taking place. The increase in students' reading comprehension skills can be seen from students being able to convey the main idea, plot, character, characterization, setting, and moral of a story that they had read from the fizzo novel application. In addition, students were able to discuss well in class. The implementation of the Discovery Learning method is also able to foster positive attitudes that reflect character education values, such as respect, honesty, discipline, and responsibility. Abstrak Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang bertujuan ; 1) Untuk mengetahui penggunaan metode pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan berbantuan media aplikasi Fizzo Novel untuk dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa kelas X-4 SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar tahun akademik2024/2025. 2) Untuk mengetahui langkah-langkah penerepan motode pembelajaran discovery learning dengan berbantuan media aplikasi fizzo novel untuk meningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas X-4 SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar tahun akademik 2024/2025. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan metode observasi dan tes. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Selanjutnya data mengenai langkah –langkah pembelajaran dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa implementasi metode pembelajaran Discovery Learning dengan berbantuan media aplikasi fizzo novel mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa kelas x-4 SMA (SLUA) Saraswati 1 Denpasar tahun akademik2024/2025. Meningkatnya aktivitas belajar tampak dari keantusiasan siswa dalam merespon pembelajaran. Siswa mulai aktif untuk mengamati, mencoba, menanya, merespon, dan menyampaikan pendapat pada saat pembelajaran sedang berlangsung. Meningkatnya kemampuan membaca pemahaman pada siswa terlihat dari siswa mampumenyampaikan ide pokok, alur, watak, penokohan, latar, dan amanat dari sebuah cerita yang telah dibacanya dari aplikasi fizzo novel. Selain siswa mampu berdiskusi dengan baik dalam kelas. Implementasi metode pembelajaran Discovery Learning juga mampu menumbuhkan sikap positif yang mencerminkan nilai pendidikan karakter, seperti menghargai, jujur, disiplin, dan bertanggung jawab.

Abstract

This study examines the application of mastery learning method to improve the skill of writing advertising texts in students of class VIII D SMP Negeri 4 Mengwi in the 2024/2025 academic year. By using a descriptive qualitative approach, this study aims to identify the implementation and steps of the application of mastery learning method. Data was collected through observation, tests and documentation. The results showed that the mastery learning method can improve the writing skills of students in class VIII D SMP Negeri 4 Mengwi for the 2024/2025 academic year. It can be seen from the evaluation of Pre-Cycle, Cycle I, and Cycle II learning, At the Pre-cycle stage, the level of student learning achievement was recorded at 67,65.This figure shows that most students still need reinforcement in understanding the material taught. After improvements were made in the learning strategy in Cycle I, student achievement increased to 76,87. Then, in Cycle II, student achievement again experienced a very significant increase, reaching 87,03. These results confirmed that the improvements made in Cycle I had a major positive impact, so that students were increasingly ablet o master the material well. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan metode pembelajaran mastery learning guna meningkatkan keterampilan menulis teks iklan pada siswa kelas VIII D SMP Negeri 4 Mengwi Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan dalam mengidentifikasikan implementasi serta langkah-langkah dari penerapan metode mastery learning Data dikumpulkan melalui tes, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode mastery learning mampu meningkatkan keterampilan menulis siswa kelas VIII D SMPNegeri 4 Mengwi Tahun Pelajaran 2024/2025. Bisa dilihat dari evaluasi Pra Siklus,Siklus I, dan Siklus II pembelajaran, Pada tahap Pra siklus, tingkat pencapaian pembelajaran siswa tercatat sebesar 67,65. Angka ini menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar siswa masih memerlukan penguatan saat memahami materi yang diajarkan. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan dalam strategi pembelajaran pada Siklus I, pencapaian siswa meningkat menjadi 76,78. Kemudian, pada Siklus II, pencapaian siswa kembali mengalami peningkatan yang sangat signifikan, mencapai 87,03. Hasil ini menegaskan bahwa perbaikan yang dilakukan pada Siklus I memberikan dampak positif yang besar, sehingga siswa semakin mampu menguasai materi dengan baik.

Abstract

The translation process greatly determines the translation results. The translated text should have the same meaning as the source text but still maintain the natural elements. A creative translation model that can help translators produce good translations that have equivalence in meaning and good grammar is essential, considering that the translation process is not just a change of language but is a process of transferring meaning from the source language to the target language (Indonesian-English). RATPro  (Read, Analyze, Transfer, Produce) Translation Model that is based on Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) Tools can be used as a creative and innovative translation model that can help translation students transfer the language of scientific article manuscripts from the source language to the target language while maintaining the equivalence of meaning and naturalness of the language through excellent and correct grammar. RATPro  (Read, Analyze, Transfer, Produce) Translation Model based on Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) Tools can also make it easier for students to translate because it is based on digital recording. This research aims to develop a RATPro translation model based on Computer Assisted Translation (CAT) Tools that are creative and innovative in translating scientific articles by students. The research model used is Research and Development (RnD), where research data is analyzed critically and validated to obtain valid and reliable results. The designedtranslation model will also be well used in translating authentic manuscripts in different manuscript fields.
