Problems faced by students living in the Al-Kamilah foundation are a lack of ability to speak English and a lack of basic mathematical calculation skills. The service team decided to provide continuous training for 1 month. This continuity needs to be conducted to provide a deeper effect for the trainees so that the trainees can maximize the training material in preparation for facing the challenges of the industrial revolution era 5.0. Moreover, the material will be given by Pamulang university lecturers who are experienced in teaching mathematics and English. In addition, the determination of trainers is also based on the background of each trainer so that the trainer can provide teaching material in a way that is easily understood by the trainees so that the trainees can grasp concepts in mathematics and apply English speaking skills in everyday life. Provision of teaching materials continuously has not given maximum results as the service team expected. As a result, it was decided that training needs to be held longer and in-depth to have a significant influence on the mathematical and English language abilities of students who live in the Al-Kamilah foundation. Autonomous learning is considered to be an important tool and is expected to appear in English language learning because it can have a positive impact on the learning process of students. Mainly in the English Language Teaching Department, various studies have been conducted on the views of students and teachers on autonomous learning. However, there is still a lack of investigations on autonomous learning in the context of non-English majors’ students. This research aims to investigate students' perceptions of autonomous learning in English language learning. In addition, the research focuses on exploring students' practice in autonomous learning activities. The questionnaire and semi-structured interview were applied to a randomly selected sample of one hundred forty-nine (149) accounting students. The research findings show that students have a positive attitude towards autonomous learning and the importance of autonomous learning in language learning. Meanwhile, in terms of implementing autonomous learning itself, the students possess low efforts. Therefore, it is recommended that in order to improve the autonomous learning of accounting students of Universitas Pamulang in English teaching and learning, it should be integrated into English teaching and make it an integral part of the EFL curriculum.

Despite the prevalence of English-only instruction in foreign language classrooms, many affirm the use of diverse linguistic repertoires particularly in linguistically-diverse society contexts where multilingual learners tend to naturally function their linguistic repertoires at daily basis (Canagarajah, 2011). This study aimed to explore teachers’ attitude toward the translanguaging approach in English language teaching (ELT) practices in pesantren schools and how it is used in the learning process. Six-phase thematic analysis was used as its qualitative research method and data were generated via in-depth semi-structured interviews to English teachers in pesantren-based schools in Lampung province. The findings showed that teachers had positive attitude toward translanguaging, as it allows them to take benefits of students’ languages other than English in English classroom. They found translanguaging helpful to explain, elaborate, and reinforce the meaning of learning materials as well as to motivate students and to create enjoyable learning atmosphere. In addition, the accommodation of knowledge or skills of other languages serves as a way to integrate the local and contextual values and culture of pesantren schools into English classroom. Some practical pedagogical implications for are discussed.

The use of technology in language learning has been extensively expanded. However, the investigation into the implementation of e-learning through video conferences (synchronous) and learning management systems (asynchronous) particularly in English Language Teaching is still lacking. This study was aimed to investigate the students' perceptions on synchronous and asynchronous e-learning in ELT. Furthermore, the study focused on exploring students’ preferences in using asynchronous and synchronous e-learning resources, and found out students’ view of the need of teachers' presence in the use of e-learning. The method used in this study is an online survey through google form. There were 167 EFL students from accounting department of Universitas Pamulang taking part as the participants. The findings show that students’ perceptions on synchronous and asynchronous e-learning in ELT are positive. This indicates that students are familiar with the use of e-learning as a medium of teaching and learning. Meanwhile, using synchronous e-learning is preferred as it facilitates students have two-way communication with the lecturer. Moreover, the presence of lecturer in e-learning are quite crucial. It shows that no matter how sophisticated the technology is, the presence of teachers is still expected by students.

With the drastic increase in competition in the future, the readiness of human resources is an essential factor that should not be ignored. One way to prepare qualified human resources is through education. However, for some students, the cost of education in Indonesia is still too expensive, so not a few students are unable to continue their education to higher education. A team of lecturers from Pamulang University, in collaboration with Myskat Empat Ribu (MER) organized a fundraising webinar. This webinar aims not only to raise funds to be distributed to orphaned students who are threatened with dropping out of university but also to provide information to scholarship hunters. This webinar results in scholarship hunters knowing other programs to study abroad besides scholarships. Apparently, not many students/ lecturers do not know the research/teaching assistanceship program.
