Abstract

Abstract Menstrual pain is a common complaint among adolescent girls and can interfere with daily activities. The prevalence of first-day menstrual pain among girls aged 15–19 in Swarangan Village is approximately 65%. Non-pharmacological therapies, such as warm compresses, have been reported to reduce pain; however, their use is still limited, and studies on adolescents are scarce. To determine the effectiveness of a warm compress using a mineral water plastic bottle on the intensity of first- day menstrual pain among adolescent girls 15-19 years old in Swarangan Village. This study employed a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach. The sample consisted of 30 adolescent girls experiencing first-day menstrual pain, selected using purposive sampling. Pain intensity was measured using the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after administering a warm compress at 40°C for 15 minutes using a mineral water plastic bottle wrapped in a 19 × 17 cm towel. The Shapiro–Wilk normality test indicated that the data were not normally distributed; therefore, data analysis was conducted using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of p < 0.05.Data were analysed using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with a significance level of p < 0.05. The mean pain intensity before the intervention was 4.17 with a standard deviation of 1.533, categorized as moderate pain, and decreased to 2.83 with a standard deviation of 1.642, categorized as mild pain, after the intervention. A total of 25 respondents experienced a reduction in pain, while 5 respondents showed no decrease. The analysis indicated a statistically significant difference (Z = −3.583; p = 0.000 < 0.05). Warm compress application using a mineral water plastic bottle is effective in reducing first-day menstrual pain intensity and may be recommended as a simple, low-cost and easily applied intervention for adolescent girls. Abstract

Introduction: Delayed examination is the subject's delay in checking themselves to a health facility or medical professional, after realizing the signs and symptoms of breast cancer. From several studies that concluded that the delay in examination ≥3 months, based on the register data, monthly reports and medical records of RSUD dr. H. Andi Abdurrahman Noor Tanah Bumbu, most of the research subjects experienced late examination. The aim of this study is to Analyzing Factors Associated with Women's Delay in Undergoing Breast Cancer Screening. Methods: This research uses an analytical survey, with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was all 149 women who had breast cancer who underwent examination, taken using the Total Sampling Technique. Education, Pain/Pain Complaints, Health Insurance, and Affordability of Health Facilities. The dependent variable is the delay in women undergoing breast cancer examination. Collection and use of Secondary Data. Data were analyzed using the chi square test with significance α=0.05. Results: The majority of study subjects experienced a delay in breast cancer examination ≥3 months (52.3%), were highly educated (45%), experienced pain complaints (53%), had health insurance (54.4%), and the accessibility of health facilities was very far (82.6%). There was a significant relationship between delay and education (p-value = 0.004), delay with complaints of pain (p-value = 0.010; OR = 0.39), delay with health insurance (p-value = 0.008; OR = 2.58), delay with accessibility of health facilities (p-value = 0.001). Conclusion: There is a relationship between delays in breast cancer screening and education, complaints of pain, health insurance, and affordability of health facilities. Abstract

According to the Indonesian Ministry of Health (2021), neonatal deaths reached 20,154, primarily caused by low birth weight (LBW). Medical records at H. Boejasin Hospital revealed a significant increase in LBW births, from 52 (15.6%) in 2022 to 87 in 2023. This study aimed to investigate the relationship between maternal anemia, age, and parity with low birth weight (LBW) at H. Boejasin Hospital. This analytical descriptive study employed a cross-sectional approach. The population consisted of 379 newborns at H. Boejasin Hospital in 2023 using secondary data, this data uses Chisquer analysis. The results showed that 23% of newborns had LBW, while 37.3% of mothers had anemia. Mothers under 20 or over 35 years old accounted for 31.4%, and those with high-risk parity (1 and >3) comprised 25.5%. Bivariate analysis revealed significant relationships between maternal anemia (p-value < 0.001) and age (p-value = 0.009) with LBW, but no association between parity and LBW (p-value = 0.221). There is an association between anemia and age in laboring mothers with the incidence of Low Birth Weight (LBW) at RSUD H. Boejasin. Pregnant women should understand risk factors and prevention strategies for LBW to mitigate its occurrence.

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy examination is an important part of the birthing process and will have a positive impact on the pregnant mother and the fetus she is carrying. Pregnant women who know the benefits and importance of prenatal check-ups will be more compliant in carrying out ANC visits compared to pregnant mothers who don't know about it. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between knowledge and support from husbands on pregnant women's compliance in carrying out pre-natal check-up at the Tirta Jaya Community Health Center, Tanah Laut Regency. Method: ANC visit data was obtained from the KIA book, cohort register, while husband's knowledge and support variables were obtained through a questionnaire distributed to selected respondents. To determine the relationship between these two variables, the chi square test was used. Results: The results of the research conducted showed that a relationship was found between knowledge and compliance (p value of 0.029 ± 0.05). Pearson's Chi square test shows a figure of 5.776 or 57.76% for the knowledge variable and a p-value of 0.029 ± 0.05 for the husband's support variable. Conclusion: The results of the study show that knowledge and support have a strong relationship with the intensity of pregnancy check-up visits for pregnant women, as evidenced by the existence of a significant relationship between variables, namely husband's knowledge and support for compliance. Abstract

Abstract Pregnant women's satisfaction with antenatal care services (K4) reflects the quality of maternal health services during pregnancy. In UPTD Puskesmas Barambai, the satisfaction level of pregnant women is still below the national target. In 2023, the satisfaction rate was recorded at 46.40%, increasing to 62.90% in 2024, but still far from the national target of 90%. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with pregnant women's satisfaction with K4 services, including accessibility, service quality, health facilities, and officer communication. This study used a descriptive analytic design with a cross-sectional approach on 38 pregnant women who made K4 visits at the UPTD Puskesmas Barambai in 2025, with a total sampling technique. Data were analyzed using the chi-square test. The results showed that most respondents were 20-35 years old (76.3%), had secondary education (52.6%), and did not work (63.2%). A total of 68.4% of mothers were satisfied with the K4 service. Satisfaction was significantly associated with service quality (p=0.000) and health facilities (p=0.000), while accessibility showed a trend but was not significant (p=0.065). Mothers with close access, good service quality, complete facilities, and effective communication were more likely to be satisfied. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that service quality and health facilities have a significant relationship with pregnant women's satisfaction, while accessibility is not significant but still has a numerical effect. Improving the quality, completeness of facilities, and staff communication is important to support pregnant women's satisfaction and the achievement of K4 service targets.
