Abstract

IbM dilaksanakan di Desa Namo Mirik Kecamatan Kutalimbaru Kabupaten Deli Serdang dengan mitra terdiri dari 2 kelompok tani yaitu: Kelompok Tani Tani Jaya dan Kelompok Karya Jaya. Tujuan program IbM adalah membentuk/mengembangkan sekelompok masyarakat yang mandiri secara ekonomi; membantu menciptakan ketentraman, dan kenyamanan dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat; dan meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir dan keterampilan lain yang dibutuhkan (softskill dan hardskill). Metode yang digunakan untuk mencapai tujuan dari IbM ini adalah dengan melakukan penyuluhan atau sosialisasi tentang penanaman padi hazton di lahan sawah. Target yang diharapkan adalah mitra mampu melaksanakan penanaman padi hazton. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dengan melakukan penanaman sistem padi hazton, luas demplot 5 rante atau 0,2 Ha. Hasil produksi yang diperoleh dalam kegiatan ini adalah 5,1 Ton/Ha sehingga terdapat peningkatan produksi rata-rata sebesar 1,1 Ton/Ha.

Abstract

PKM was conducted in Desa Namo Mirik, Kecamatan Kutalimbaru, Kabupaten Deli Serdang with partners consisting of 2 farmer groups, Ula Kisat Farmers Group and Sumber Jaya Group. The aim of the PKM program is to establish/develop a group of economically independent communities; help create peace, and comfort in community life; and improve thinking skills and other skills needed (softskill and hardskill). The method used to achieve the objectives of this PKM is to carry out counseling or socialization about corn planting using the double row method. The expected target is a partner capable of carrying out corn planting. The planned activities to be carried out are planting corn with a double row method with a plot of 5 rante or 0.2 Ha. The production results obtained in this activity are corn cobs at 8150 Kg / Ha and corn pipil 6025 Kg / Ha.

Abstract

Abstrak: Petani di Desa Suka Makmur khususnya di Dusun XI yang tergabung dalam kelompok tani Sumbekan Simalem dengan jumlah anggota 78 orang adalah petani kopi dengan luas tanam mencapai 240 Ha. Permasalahan petani saat ini adalah ketersediaan limbah kulit kopi yang cukup banyak yang bersumber dari kebun kopi yang dikelolanya. Pandemic covid 19 yang masih berlangsung menyisakan persoalan bagi petani serta usahataninya untuk itu diperlukan pendampingan dalam mengatasi permasalahan tersebut sekaligus peningkatan kesejahteraannya. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk pendampingan dan pelatihan pembuatan minuman berbasis limbah kulit kopi. Metode pelaksanaan pengabdian ini dibagi menjadi dua tahapan, tahapan sosialisasi yaitu pemanfaatan limbah kulit kopi sebagai bahan baku minuman dan tahapan pelatihan yaitu cara pembuatan minumannya. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan tes uraian berupa pre-test dan post-test terkait pengetahuan kelompok tani mengenai pengolahan limbah kulit kopi dan manfaatnya. Hasil akhir pengabdian masyarakat menunjukkan bahwa telah terjadi peningkatan sebesar 85,1% terhadap pemahaman pemanfaatan dan kemampuan petani membuat minuman probiotik berbasis limbah kulit kopi.Abstract: Farmers in Desa Suka Makmur, especially in Dusun XI who are members of the Sumbekan Simalem farmer group with a total of 78 members, are coffee farmers with a planting area of up to 240 ha. The problem for farmers today is the availability of quite a lot of coffee skin waste sourced from the coffee plantations they manage. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic leaves problems for farmers and their farming businesses, so assistance is needed in overcoming these problems as well as improving their welfare. This service aims to assist and train the manufacture of coffee skin waste-based beverages. The method of implementing this service is divided into two stages, the socialization stage, namely the use of coffee skin waste as raw material for beverages and the training stage, namely how to make drinks. Data were collected through interviews and description tests in the form of pre-tests and post-tests related to the knowledge of farmer groups regarding the processing of coffee skin waste and its benefits. The final results of community service showed that there has been an increase of 85.1% in understanding the use and ability of farmers to make probiotic drinks based on coffee skin waste.

Abstract

Abstrak: Banyak sekali makanan olahan berbahan dasar daging yang beredar di pasaran. Produk ini disinyalir mengandung bahan pengawet kimia berbahaya. Penggunaan bahan pengawet kimia dalam jangka panjang menimbulkan dampak negatif seperti perilaku hiperaktif pada anak, kolesterol, penyakit jantung dan kanker. Untuk itu penggunaan bahan pengawet alami mutlak diperlukan karena tidak memberikan dampak negatif bagi manusia. Salah satu bahan pengawet alami pada makanan adalah tepung daun kelor. Mitra berasal dari ibu-ibu 'Aisyiyah ranting Medan Denai sejumlah 10 orang. Tujuan pengabdian ini untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan mitra dalam membuat bahan pengawet alami dari daun kelor sebagai wujud pola hidup sehat warga Muhammadiyah. Metode pelaksanaan terdiri dari 2 tahap yaitu tahap sosialisasi dan tahap pelatihan pembuatan tepung daun kelor serta penerapannya. Hasil pre-test dan post-test yang dilakukan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan soft skill dan hard skill mitra sebesar 92%.Abstract: There are lots of processed meat-based foods on the market. This product allegedly contains dangerous chemical preservatives. Long-term use of chemical preservatives causes negative impacts such as hyperactive behavior in children, cholesterol, heart disease and cancer. For this reason, the use of natural preservatives is absolutely necessary because they do not have a negative impact on humans. One of the natural preservatives in food is Moringa leaf flour. The partners come from 10 women from the Medan Denai branch of 'Aisyiyah. The aim of this service is to increase partners' knowledge and skills in making natural preservatives from Moringa leaves as a form of healthy lifestyle for Muhammadiyah residents. The implementation method consists of 2 stages, namely the socialization stage and the training stage for making Moringa leaf flour and its application. The results of the pre-test and post-test conducted showed an increase in partners' soft skills and hard skills by 92%.

Abstract

The Jaya Lestari Farmers Group in Tiga Nderket Village, Karo Regency, faces challenges in improving the market competitiveness of their salak processed products due to limited knowledge and marketing skills. This community service program aimed to enhance the group's marketing capabilities through intensive training and mentoring. The program was conducted over two days at the Village Hall and involved 20 group members. Training activities covered the preparation of marketing materials, the use of information technology, and the development of social media content. Mentoring focused on integrating digital marketing strategies into the group’s business activities. Program evaluation showed significant improvements in the ability to use social media for marketing (from 30% to 85%) and in understanding marketing strategies (from 40% to 90%). This initiative successfully increased the market potential of salak processed products, expanded customer reach, and improved the welfare of group members.
