Abstract

Pergulatan pemikiran kontemporer mengenai hadits, baik yang dilakukan oleh para pemikir muslim (insider) maupun para orientalis (outsider) agaknya juga mengalami dinamika perkembangan yang cukup signifikan. Hal ini tampak dari banyaknya para pengkaji hadits khususnya dari kalangan muslim yang mencoba memekarkan dan mengkritisi pemikiran tentang hadits, seperti Fazlur Rahman (Fazlur Rahman, 1984: 57), Muhamad al-Ghazali, Yusuf al-Qardhawi dan Mushthafa al-A'zami. Sedangkan dari kalangan non-muslim (orientalis), kajian hadits antara lain dilakukan oleh Sprenger, Ignaz Goldjiher, Montgomery Watt, Joseph Schacht dan yang lain (Wahyudin Darmalaksana, 2004: 96). Diakui atau tidak, hadits selalu menjadi kajian yang  menarik bagi para pemikir dan cendekia, baik yang mengkajinya sebagai pembela (kalangan Muslim) maupun sebagai penentangnya (yang kebanyakan adalah para orientalis) (Ensiklopedi Tematis, V.I: 81.)

Abstract

In the process of education or learning, we often categorize children or adult into successful or unsuccessful. These terms of categorization are based on external monitoring. But the success of pupils depends largely on their motivation. There are pupils showing the laziness in learning because they lack motivation, internally or externally. They need positive motivation. There is intrinsic motivation, i.e. the motivation which emerges from inside the self or the motivation which is closely connected with the purpose. And there is extrinsic motivation, i.e. the motivation which comes from outside the self or the motivation which has no connection with the purpose. The motivation is intimately related to psychological condition. There are many theories of motivation, but they all go back to the individual state of a person. There are also several ways to raise motivation: 1) Creating competition, 2) Defining clear and recognized purpose, 3) Accomodating the interests of pupils. The purposes of motivation are: 1) to urge people to reach their goals, 2) to point them in the direction of their goals, and 3) to select carefully the appropriate action to reach the goals. The clear motivation can help teachers to carry out the more effective process of learning with the better results. Keywords: motivation, motive, psychology, learning effectiveness.

Abstract

Understanding of the Koran becomes a discipline that continues to experience development, as the development of the situation and conditions of the times, including the method of understanding the Koran or its interpretation. There are two big camps in the world of interpretation that can not be separated, namely first, the tradition that is used by Muslims or called traditionalists or conventional and interpretation traditions carried by modernists who carry a lot of Western methods. The traditionalists use a method that has been developed since the time of the Prophet to the present formulated by the interpretation of bil m'atsur in the Ijmali genre. Meanwhile, modern people use the hermeneutics method. In the development of the two traditions are often contested, one considered that the traditions of the tardisionalists are well established and do not need to be renewed by emphasizing the existing rules, while the hermeneutic method is an absurd method and cannot be accounted for even only assessing something that is relative. whatever the goals of the two traditions are clear they both have a goal that the Koran can be understood throughout the ages andsholih li kulli zaman wa makan.

Abstract

Scientific exegesis is one of the new trends in interpreting the Quran that will continue to be in demand. There are many discussions of science and Quran integration, and the rise of various works of scientific interpretation among scholars and scientists has become the real proof of it. However, some Muslim communities still doubt the validity of scientific interpretations. One of the reasons is because the source of the interpretation is relative and temporal. This evidence, of course, cannot be compared with the Quran, which is absolute. Therefore, a regulation is needed in the application of scientific interpretation. This study aims to examine and explore the methods and principles of the scientific interpretation of the Quran conducted by Zaghlûl Râghib al-Najjâr, in terms of their strengths, shortcomings, and relevance in the interpretation of the Quran. This research is considered qualitative research utilizing library research by analyzing some literatures such as books and journal articles. The results of this research show that the Zaghlûl as a Geologist, who is quite productive with the authority of science he has, does not only interpret Quran scientifically but also explains the procedure of interpretation through methods and principles of interpretation similar to scholars of tafsîr in general. In fact, he may be even be considered more specific and ideal compared to others because he not only complements but also enhances the guidelines and principles of the scientific exegesis that have been used before.

Abstract

Women are the pillars of life, especially in domestic matters, this condition makes them have to take roles in the domestic and public spheres at the same time. in the public sector, forcing them to do various jobs, such as farmers, fishermen and weavers. They choose weaving because they don't have other jobs, they don't have much education, and they don't have much capital. For women, working is helping the poor household economy. This assistance was carried out in Laren Lamongan Pelangwot Village. The method used is ABCD (Asset Based Community Development) because the Pelangwot residents have looms and the process of making woven sarongs is a village asset. The results of this assistance show that women are able to start organizing their lives better and have the fighting power to develop their creativity in weaving, this is shown in their behavior during the counseling and training carried out, not only that, they also ask for further assistance to strengthen their community so that it can be formally recognized.

Abstract

In Islam there are regulations intended for his people, including about ethics. The success of a person is not determined by the intellect alone but also emotions, emotional intelligences is how someone could drown out his anger and focus more on moral or existing guidance. It was stated in the letter of al-Hujurat verses 1-8, which is a rule that humans have an obligation to put God as Kholik above all else, then the Prophet Muhammad as a lover, as good as any human morals to the apostles with a variety of conditions is essential, both named to the morals horizontally and are associated with private, to enhance a person kesholihan should be coupled with a vertically ie ethical morals to others critically, selective and thoughtful. Both are central to affect life and to achieve a pure success.

Abstract

Hadis as the Qur'an is a text produced from the past and destined for all time, past and present. In understanding the products of the past many methods for its understanding can be catered for the benefit of the people. Hermeneutics is present as a new method for understanding past product texts in order to be applied to the present, in the heremenutics are three kinds, those are texts, contexts and authors can unite to produce a 'similar' understanding to what the text writer intended Allah (al-Qur'an) or Prophet Muhammad (Hadith). In understanding the text of the Qur'an has been offered an understanding by using methods of heremeneutic with clear steps, as well as Hadith, many ways of understanding hadith, among which was put forward by Yusuf Qordhowi, he emphasized the understanding of hadith on maqashid as-syariah and pay attention to asbab al-wurud hadith and try to find its contextual significance. In an attempt to understand the hadith, Al-Qordhowi mindset has been constructed in such a way that he in understanding the hadith always concerns the internal of the hadith without forgetting to use the external approach. Where the intersection between the goal of understanding hermeneutics with the study of Yusuf Qordhowi’s Hadis.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of the Ummi Method in enhancing the Quran reading skills of Generation Z students at SMA Wahas Maduran and in fostering a moderate religious character. This generation has grown up in a challenging digital era and often has wide access to mass media for seeking various kinds of information, including about religion. To gain an in-depth understanding of the Ummi Method’s application, this study employed a qualitative approach with a case study design. Data collection methods included observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The findings indicated that the Ummi Method was effective in improving students’ comprehension and skills in reading the Quran in accordance with the rules of tajwid and makhraj. Additionally, the Ummi Method significantly contributed to shaping a moderate religious character, helping students develop attitudes of tolerance and balance in their religious practices, which are relevant to the current religious context. The success of the Ummi Method largely depended on the implementation model, which included guidance and consistent assessment from certified, professional teachers. This study recommends the broader application of the Ummi Method in educational institutions to improve Quran reading skills and foster a moderate religious character among Generation Z

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance Quranic reading skills and foster a moderate religious character among Generation Z students at SMA Wahas Maduran through the Ummi Method. As part of Generation Z, high school students are accustomed to digital technology, which presents challenges in developing proper Quranic reading skills as well as maintaining a balanced and tolerant religious attitude. This program employs the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method, involving educators, students, and school stakeholders. Student mentoring and continuous evaluation are among the key actions taken. The results indicate that the Ummi Method, which is gradual and structured, effectively improves students’ ability to read the Quran with correct makhraj and tajwid. Additionally, this approach plays a significant role in fostering a moderate religious character, instilling tolerance, and helping students balance their religious practices in today’s digital era. The success of this program relies on ongoing evaluation, continuous guidance from teachers, and strong school support. Therefore, this initiative encourages the broader implementation of the Ummi Method in both formal and non-formal education, as it will help Generation Z address religious challenges in the modern millennial era

Abstract

Currently, the debate surrounding the lineage of the Habib is becoming increasingly widespread. However, in recent developments, this issue has turned into a platform for mutual hatred. Therefore, a middle ground is needed to prevent the discourse on lineage from spiraling out of control. The Qur’an can serve as a solution to strengthen the unity of the Muslim community. Using a literature study approach and critical analysis of Qur'anic arguments, this research investigates the exclusivity of the Habib title. This study offers a Qur'anic solution to address this phenomenon, particularly in fostering equality, Islamic brotherhood (ukhuwah Islamiyah), and social justice. It also aims to provide a more objective perspective on the position and role of the Habib within Muslim society and to develop a more inclusive approach to building communal harmony. In this study, the Qur’an, as the holy scripture, provides guidance on morality and brotherhood. It teaches that the most honorable person in the sight of Allah is the one with the highest level of piety (taqwa). This verse is relevant to all of humanity, regardless of ethnicity or lineage. The Qur’an emphasizes that what truly matters is piety, not social status. Piety arises from a transcendental moral awareness. The focus of Muslims should be on self-improvement rather than boasting about lineage, which only generates controversy without any real benefit.
