Disaster information is an important factor in disaster management efforts, including in West Java. It helps officers and the community to immediately anticipate disasters that may occur. Journalists are among those who play a role in disseminating disaster information. This study aims to describe disaster information cycle model of West Java television journalists in obtaining and disseminating disaster information with the help of technology to increase the speed. This research applies a qualitative method, namely a case study to describe a usage model of disaster information seeking which is uniquely influenced by the developments in information technology. Data collection is carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. This study finds that smartphone technology contributes to the dissemination of disaster information by television journalists through providing access to social media, online media, and information in group chats. There is an interrelated flow of information between journalists, television editors, local governments, officials and the community. Participation of public and journalists in obtaining and disseminating disaster information helps the government and officers to find out the real conditions of disaster locations and how to handle them.

The development of tourism villages in several areas including West Java needs to be encouraged by digital promotion. In the internet era, digital communication is mandatory for stakeholders in the economic sector, including tourism stakeholders. Based on this, tourism development through digital communication needs to be done to encourage tourist attraction. This research describes the development of tourism promotion through digital communication in Dayeuh Kolot village in several stages. The research method uses case studies with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation to measure the stages of digital communication application. Observations were made at the stages of digital communication application, namely in the stages of preparation, implementation, and evaluation of digital development in the period of July until December 2020. Interviews were conducted with tourism organizer stakeholders, namely the village government, BUMDES, and people who were members of the Keciwis community to get an overview of promotion development Meanwhile, the documentation data is obtained statistically as a comparison before and after the development of digital promotion. The results showed that the knowledge and skills of tourism stakeholders had significantly increased, especially in the management of social media and digital communication for tourism marketing.

The study illustrates the pattern of organizational communication on journalist's coverage in the Vice President's agenda. Journalists from various media form informational organizations in fulfilling the task of getting news. This study used a constructivist paradigm with a descriptive qualitative approach. The method used was a case study. Data collection was done by observing the journalist's communication patterns when reporting the vice president's agenda. In-depth interviews were conducted to journalists who conducted coverage in the vice president's office in 2019 and the vice president's secretariat. Other data were obtained from documents. This study found that organizational information communication was formed between journalists, vice president secretariat, and vice president itself. In terms of reporting, journalists follow information from the vice president's secretariat. However, journalists have many ways to get information about the Vice President's internal agenda. Communication patterns showed that journalists do their work by pursuing information from several sources.

In the era of information technology, print media is on the verge of extinction. The Pikiran Rakyat Newspaper, one of the largest local newspapers in West Java, still survives. This study illustrates how print media can survive in the era of digital society. This research uses a sequential explanatory design method by combining quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data was collected using a survey to a sample of readers totaling 1540 respondents. The sample was determined using purposive sampling with unique qualifications for potential readers in West Java. Qualitative data using observation, interviews, and FGD. The quantitative results showed that respondents admitted they were still interested in consuming newspapers. Newspapers have advantages over online media; clickbait does not exist. The qualitative results indicate that print media can still survive, not as a source of income but as an icon of the company.

Pariwisata merupakan sektor penyedia jasa yang mengoptimalkan potensi kawasan wisata. Di Indonesia, pariwisata ditetapkan sebagai leading sector dan core economy. Pariwisata memberikan kontribusi besar pada lapangan pekerjaan, devisa negara dan juga mendukung kemajuan daerah melalui pemasukan PAD (pendapatan asli daerah). Hal tersebut juga menjadi fokus Pemerintah Jawa Barat, dalam Rencana Induk Pembangunan Kepariwisataan Provinsi tahun 2015-2025 terdapat aturan mengenai wisata unggulan untuk kawasan destinasi berbasis air. Salah satu kawasan yang memiliki potensi mengenai hal itu adalah Waduk Jatiluhur di Kabupaten Purwakarta. Kawasan yang sebelumnya dipergunakan sebagai PLTA kini diubah menjadi tujuan wisata dengan cara membranding kawasan tersebut. Untuk mengetahui strategi branding yang dilakukan maka penelitiann ini dianalisa melalui teori strategi destination branding dari Morgan & Pritchard. Dengan penelitian metode kualitatif studi kasus. Hasil temuan memperlihatkan bahwa ada lima tahapan dalam melakukan branding destinasi wisata yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah dan masyarakat. Tahap pertama, menetapkan nilai-nilai inti dari tujuan dan mereknya melalui pemetaan pasar. Tahap kedua, mengembangkan identitas merek dengan empat daya tarik buatan yang dimaksimalkan pemerintan. Tahap ketiga, mengenalkan produk kepada masyarakat melalui event olahraga bertaraf internasional salah satunya The 1st Jatiluhur Stand Up Paddle and Kayak Exhibition bertajuk “Green Water Life”. Tahap keempat, dengan imlementasi brand melalui simbol, slogan dan membuat aplikasi bernama “Sampurasun”. Tahap kelima, monitoring dan evaluasi yang dilakukan oleh tim media sosial dan Pokdarwis. Temuan ini Memperlihatkan bahwa upaya branding destinasi tidak hanya menjadi tanggung jawab pemerintah tetapi masyarakat sekitar. Temuan lainnya ialah bahwa ada beberapa daya tarik buatan yang sengaja dijadikan strategi pada branding destinasi ini. Kata Kunci: Branding, Destinasi, Waduk Jatiluhur, Purwakarta

Abstract. In investigative journalism work, there are three general forms of investigative methods, namely, related to the work of investigating documents, as well as investigations of individual subjects related to the problem. This general form of investigative reportage is termed a paper trail, people trail, and money trail. Tempo Magazine is a media that is considered to have competence and credibility for investigative coverage. Tempo magazine is a pioneer of investigative journalism in the period after 1990. In addition, the internet media has opened up information expansion based on a multidimensional "network". A number of platforms on the internet have emerged that can attract people's attention. Like it or not, the print media must also adapt their work to the needs of the public. In the end, the print media also experienced convergence. In the world of journalism, online journalism was born. This study aims to determine why and how investigative data search patterns in online media. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach. In this case the researcher tried to find out the pattern of investigative data collection in the online media through investigative news entitled "Pesta Terakhir Aktivis Ambon" conducted by Tempo.co and investigative news entitled "Emas Hitam Mahakam dalam Bidikan KPK" conducted by Katadata.co.id . The result of this research is that investigative journalism work in online media is basically the same as investigative journalism work in print media. The only difference is that there are more readers in online media. Especially in reporting done on online media, the writer can add digital content that can help explain this information. Abstrak. Dalam kerja jurnalisme investigasi, terdapat tiga bentuk umum metode investigasi yaitu, terkait dengan pekerjaan menginvestigasi dokumen-dokumen, serta penyelidikan terhadap subjek-subjek individu yang terkait dengan permasalahan. Bentuk bidang umum reportase investigasi ini diistilahkan dengan paper trail, people trail, dan money trail. Majalah Tempo menjadi media yang dinilai memiliki kompetensi dan kredibilitas untuk peliputan investigatif. Majalah Tempo merupakan pelopor jurnalisme investigatif di masa setelah 1990. Disamping itu media internet membuka perluasan informasi berdasarkan “jaringan” yang multidimensi. Sejumlah platform di internet muncul yang dapat menarik perhatian masyarakat. Mau tidak mau media cetak juga harus menyesuaikan pengerjaannya dengan kebutuhan publik. Pada akhirnya media cetak pun mengalami konvergensi. Dalam dunia jurnalistik maka lahirlah Jurnalisme Online. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui mengapa dan bagaimana pola pencarian data investigasi di Media Online. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus. Dalam hal ini peneliti berusaha mencari tahu pola pengumpulan data investigasi di media online melalui berita investigatif berjudul “Pesta Terakhir Aktivis Ambon” yang dilakukan oleh Tempo.co dan berita investigatif berjudul “Emas Hitam Mahakam Dalam Bidikan KPK” yang dilakukan oleh Katadata.co.id. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah kerja jurnalisme investigasi di media online pada dasarnya sama dengan kerja jurnalisme investigasi di media cetak. Yang membedakan hanya pada pasar pembaca di media online lebih banyak. Terlebih dalam pelaporan yang dilakukan pada media online penulis dapat menambahkan konten digital yang dapat membantu menjelaskan informasi tersebut.

Abstract. The Indonesian government announced that the Covid-19 disease was present in the midst of people's lives on March 2, 2020. Starting from this case, the number of people exposed to the Covid-19 disease continued to increase, the government took a policy to organize mass vaccinations. Vaccination activities are carried out as one of the efforts made by the government to create immunity formation specifically for Covid-19 disease and also as an effort to avoid transmission. This study aims to find out the relationship between the news of the Covid-19 vaccine on Kompas.com and the interest in vaccination of Fikom Unisba students. The method used in this study is a quantitative method using correlational analysis techniques. This study uses the Uses and Effect theory proposed by Sven Wandahl which has the aim of knowing the relationship between variables. In this study, using purposive sampling data collection techniques and using the Slovin formula to determine the number of respondents. The results of the hypothesis test are that there is a very strong and unidirectional relationship between the news of the Covid-19 vaccine and the interest in vaccination of students. With a significance of 0.000 <0.05 and a coefficient of 0.712. Abstrak. Pemerintah indonesia mengumumkan bahwa penyakit Covid-19 hadir di tengah kehidupan masyarakat pada 2 Maret 2020. Dimulai dari kasus tersebut, jumlah orang yang terpapar penyakit Covid-19 terus meningkat, pemerintah mengambil kebijakan untuk menyelenggarakan vaksinasi masal. Kegiatan vaksinasi dilaksanakan sebagai salah satu upaya yang dilakukan oleh pemerintah guna untuk menciptakan pembentukan kekebalan tubuh dengan spesifik pada penyakit Covid-19 dan juga sebagai suatu upaya untuk menghindari penularan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mencari tahu hubungan antara pemberitaan vaksin Covid-19 pada Kompas.com dengan minat vaksinasi mahasiswa Fikom Unisba. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis korelasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan teori Uses and Effect yang dikemukakan oleh Sven Wandahl yang memiliki tujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan anatar variabel. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data purposive sampling dan menggunakan rumus Slovin untuk menentukan jumlah responden. Hasil dari uji hipotesisnya ialah terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat dan searah antara pemeberitaan vaksin Covid-19 dengan Minat vaksinasi mahasiswa. Dengan signifikansi 0,000<0,05 dan koefisien sebesar 0,712.

Abstract. The process of delivering messages in this digital era continues to grow and becomes easier, of course the development of the internet affects it. The media that is the main stream of message delivery today is social media, and one of them is Instagram. Instagram is not only used by individuals but also organizations that have an impact on society. Including Greenpeace Id as a non-governmental environmental organization who spreads information about the environment on their Instagram. The spread of messages carried out by Greenpeace is persuasive which aims to provide awareness to their Instagram followers. In accordance with the identification of the problem, this study aims to see how the relationship of persuasive messages on Instagram @greenpeace.id through aspects of the central route and peripheral route with the attitude of their followers. This research uses correlational study method. Data collection techniques were carried out by distributing questionnaires, literature studies and online data searches. To dissect this research, cognitive psychology theory, S-O-R theory, elaboration possibility theory and attitude theory are used. The sampling technique used is purposive sampling with several criteria that the authors have determined. For sampling author using slovin and obtained as many as 100 respondents. In testing the validity and reliability of questions distributed questionnaires can be said to be valid and reliable. The results in this study have a significant relationship between persuasive messages on Instagram @greenpeace.id and the attitude of taking care the environment of their followers. Abstrak. Proses penyampaian pesan di era digital ini terus berkembang dan menjadi semakin mudah tentu saja perkembang internet mempengaruhi hal itu. Media yang menjadi arus utama penyampaian pesan saat ini adalah media sosial salah satu platformnya yaitu Instagram. Instagram tidak hanya digunakan oleh individu tetapi juga organisasi yang mempunyai pengaruh untuk masyarakat. Termasuk Greenpeace Id sebagai organisasi lingkungan non Pemerintah yang menyebarkan infromasi mengenai lingkungan hidup dari platform Instagramnya. Penyebaran pesan yang dialkukan oleh greenpeace bersifat persuasif yang memang bertujuan untuk memberikan awareness kepada para pengikut Instagramnya. Sesuai dengan identifikasi masalah, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat bagaimana hubungan pesan persuasif dalam Instagram @greenpeace.id melalui aspek central route dan peripheral route dengan sikap para followersnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode studi korelasional. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner, studi pustaka dan penelusuran data online. Untuk membedah penelitian ini digunakan teori psikologi kognitif, teori S-O-R, teori elaborasi likelihood dan teori sikap. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling dengan beberapa kriteria yang telah penulis tentukan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan slovin dan didapatkan sebanyak 100 responden. Pada uji validitas dan reliabilitas pertanyaan untuk penyebaran angket dapat dikatakan valid dan reliabel. Hasil dalam penelitian ini adanya hubungan yang signifikan hubungan antara pesan persuasif dalam Instagram @greenpeace.id dengan sikap menjaga lingkungan followersnya.

Abstract. The film How To Change Your Mind is a film whose title explains that we have to change our thinking when watching this film. This film tells about how Michael Pollan and also the narrator in the film tell and explain how psychedelics change our minds. Psychedelic which means "Mind Manifestation" is an effect or condition when we try substances that have psychedelic effects or are now included in class I narcotics. This research takes data from the documentary series How To Change Your Mind which is based on a book entitled How To Change Your Mind by Michael Pollan. This film tells how psychedelic effects occurred in the past and the impact we can still feel today. Uniquely, this psychedelic was banned due to a problematic CIA mind control experiment, while this psychedelic can help someone get out of someone's suicidal ideation. The research aims to examine what meanings are related to informative messages from the meaning of semiotics. This study uses a qualitative approach to Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis in the film How To Change Your Mind. By analyzing the denotative, connotative and mythical signs taken from this film, the researcher found the research results in the form of data taken by observing the film through scenes or scenes, dialogues, background music used in the film to some of the characters involved. Abstrak. Film How To Change Your Mind merupakan film yang judulnya menjelaskan bahwa kita harus merubah pemikiran kita ketika menonton film ini. Film ini menceritakan tentang bagaimana Michael Pollan dan juga narator dalam film tersebut menceritakan serta menejelaskan bagaimana psikedelik merubah pikiran kita. Psikedelik yang mempunyai arti “Manifestasi Pikiran” merupakan efek atau keadaan saat kita mencoba zat-zat yang memiliki efek psikedelik atau sekarang dimasukan kedalam narkotika golongan I. Penelitian ini mengambil data dari film series dokumenter How To Change Your Mind yang diangkat berdasarkan buku yang berjudul How To Change Your Mind oleh Michael Pollan. Film ini menceritkan bagaimana efek psikedelik terjadi di masa lampau dan dampaknya yang sampai sekarang masih bisa kita rasakan. Uniknya psikedelik ini dilarang akibat ekperimen pengendalian pikiran CIA yang bermasalah sedangkan psikedelik ini dapat membantu seseorang keluar dari keingingan bunuh diri yang dialamai seseorang. Penelitian bertujuan untuk meneliti makna apa saja yang berkaitan dengan pesan informatif dari sisi pemaknaan semiotika. Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi pendekatan kualitatif analisis semiotika Roland Barthes dalam film How To Change Your Mind. Dengan menganalisis tanda denotatif, konotatif serta mitos yang diambil dari film ini, peneliti menemukan hasil penelitian berupa data yang diambil dengan cara observasi film melalui scene atau adegan, dialog, latar musik yang digunakan dalam film tersebut kepada beberapa tokoh yang terlibat.

Abstract. The movie "Avatar: The Way of Water" presents an enchanting narrative about personal journeys and family dynamics amidst a magical fictional universe. The main focus is on the role of the father as the pillar of strength in a family faced with great challenges. Fathers serve not only as physical protectors of the family, but also as spiritual guides. In a world full of mystery and danger, the father becomes a source of inspiration for the main character, guiding him through obstacles and helping to shape his identity. Family decision-making becomes an important element in the narrative, where the father not only acts as the main decision-maker but also promotes collective decisions. This reflects the importance of collaboration and communication in the face of an unknown world. In the scenes of the father's role in this film will be analyzed starting from the denotation stage to the connotation stage. Researchers categorize the father roles that appear in this film into 8 forms of father roles, namely: (1) The role of a friend & playmate father in the form of a playmate, accompanying children to play and giving free time to talk with children. (2) The role of a caregiver father in the form of feeling comfortable, warm hugs and giving positive energy. (3) The role of father teacher & role model in the form of teaching children by providing education and input (4) The role of father monitor & disciplinary in the form of disciplining and sanctioning in the form of responsibility for actions taken. (5) The role of father protector in the form of protecting children outside and inside the home. (6) The role of a resource father is to support the family from behind the scenes. (7) The role of the decision maker father in the form of decision making and problem solving. (8) The role of the nurtured mother father in the form of a mother's companion or always protecting the mother's role in any condition. Abstrak. Film "Avatar: The Way of Water" menyajikan sebuah narasi yang mempesona tentang perjalanan pribadi dan dinamika dalam keluarga di tengah alam semesta fiksi yang ajaib. Fokus utamanya adalah pada peran ayah sebagai pilar kekuatan dalam keluarga yang berhadapan dengan tantangan besar. Ayah tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai pelindung fisik keluarga, tetapi juga sebagai pembimbing spiritual. Dalam dunia yang penuh misteri dan bahaya, ayah menjadi sumber inspirasi bagi karakter utama, membimbingnya melalui rintangan dan membantu membentuk identitasnya. Pengambilan keputusan keluarga menjadi elemen penting dalam narasi, di mana ayah tidak hanya berperan sebagai pengambil keputusan utama tetapi juga mempromosikan keputusan kolektif. Ini mencerminkan pentingnya kolaborasi dan komunikasi dalam menghadapi dunia yang belum dikenal. Dalam adegan peran ayah yang ada di dalam film ini akan dianalisis mulai dari tahap denotasi hingga ke tahap konotasi. Peneliti mengkategorikan peran ayah yang muncul dalam film ini menjadi 8 bentuk peran ayah, yaitu: (1) Peran ayah friend & playmate berupa teman bermain, menemani anak bermain dan memberi waktu luang untuk berbincang dengan anak. (2) Peran ayah caregiver berupa perasaan nyaman, pelukan hangat dan memberi energi positif. (3) Peran ayah teacher & role model berupa mengajari anaka dengan memberikan pendidikan dan masukan (4) Peran ayah monitor & disiplinary berupa mendisplinkan dan memberi sanksi dalam bentuk tanggung jawab atas perbuatan yang dilakukan. (5) Peran ayah protector berupa perlindungan anak di luar maupun di dalam rumah. (6) Peran ayah resource berupa mendukung keluarga dari belakang layar. (7) Peran ayah decision maker berupa pengambil keputusan dan memecahkan masalah. (8) Peran ayah nurtured mother berupa pendamping ibu atau selalu melindungi peran ibu dalam kondisi apapun.
