Abstract

This study aims to analyze the need to develop a model of Arabic teaching materials containing the values ​​of multicultural-based character education, especially in Indonesian Foreign Schools (Sekolah Indonesia Luar Negeri) in Jeddah, Riyadh, and Makkah. In this needs analysis, the researcher describes the data obtained from the questionnaires of students and teachers who teach Arabic subjects with 39 respondents. This study indicates that Arabic teaching materials in Indonesian Foreign Schools, especially in Arab countries, need to be developed. Developing Arabic teaching materials with multicultural values ​​is very important to make learning Arabic at Indonesian Foreign Schools easier, more effective, fun, and produce Indonesian diaspora students who have a spirit of nationalism and respect plurality. The development of these teaching materials is manifested in three aspects, namely (1) related to Arabic language teaching materials based on the values ​​of national character education by learning objectives and contextual with the times; (2) aspects of application technology, namely by developing Arabic teaching materials equipped with multimedia learning media such as audio, video, animation, and others to make it easier to learn; (3) aspects of character education, namely Arabic teaching materials that contain character education values, such as religious values, nationalism, honesty, independence, cooperation, integrity, hard work, and responsibility

Abstract

This study aims to develop video-based Arabic reading learning media at Al-Azhar Islamic High School Kelapa Gading Jakarta. The research method used is development research with the ADDIE model. The subject of the study was a grade XI student of Al-Azhar Islamic High School Kelapa Gading Jakarta. Development research with the ADDIE model has five stages of research, namely: Analyze, researchers analyze student needs for the development of video-based learning media; Design, researchers collect material and design media to be developed; Development, researchers carry out the process of developing video-based learning media; Implementation, testing products that have been developed; and Evaluation, evaluating activities to determine the quality of media products that have been developed. The results of the material expert assessment get a percentage of 86.67% with the very decent category and the results of the media expert assessment get a percentage of 90.58% with the very decent category and the results of student assessment and evaluation get a percentage of 85.12% with the very decent category.  Based on the assessment above, video-based learning media is suitable to be used as an Arabic learning medium, especially in reading Arabic.

Abstract

Pengabdian masyarakat ini merupakan implementasi dari hasil penelitian skema hibah penelitian dasar tahun 2023 yang berjudul “Model Panduan Wisata Halal Elektronik Bahasa Arab-Inggris-Indonesia Berbasis Budaya Lokal Menggunakan Neo-Application di Kabupaten Gorontalo, Aceh Besar, dan Lombok Barat.” Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Universitas Basrah, Kota Basrah, Irak, dengan tujuan utama menyosialisasikan dan mempromosikan destinasi wisata halal Indonesia kepada warga Irak untuk meningkatkan jumlah wisatawan ke Indonesia. Upaya yang dilakukan meliputi pemberian pemahaman tentang Indonesia sebagai negara peringkat pertama dalam daftar destinasi wisata halal terbaik dunia berdasarkan laporan Global Muslim Travel Index (GMTI) 2023 dari Mastercard dan Crescent Rating; sosialisasi dan promosi destinasi wisata halal Indonesia kepada komunitas akademik Universitas Basrah; serta membangun kerja sama jangka panjang antara Universitas Negeri Jakarta dan Universitas Basrah. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam beberapa bentuk, yaitu FGD antara tim peneliti, dosen Universitas Basrah, dan perwakilan mahasiswa secara daring; workshop sosialisasi dan promosi destinasi wisata halal Indonesia di depan komunitas akademik Universitas Basrah secara luring; serta tindak lanjut berkelanjutan dalam bentuk pertukaran informasi wisata halal antara komunitas akademik Universitas Negeri Jakarta dan Universitas Basrah yang dilaksanakan secara hybrid.

Abstract

Abstrak. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan resepsi mahasiswa semester VI C Jurusan PBSI (Pendidikan Bahasa dan Sastra Indonesia) UIN Syarif Hidayatullah Jakarta yang sudah membaca novel “Ayat-ayat Cinta 1”. Resepsi mahasiswa terhadap nilai moral tokoh utama dalam novel Ayat-ayat Cinta 1 karya Habiburrahman El Shirazy tersebut mencakup: (1) nilai moral agama; (2) nilai moral kepribadian; dan (3) nilai moral sosial. Data penelitian kulitatif ini diperoleh melalui angket dan wawancara. Prosedur pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara: menyebarkan angket, melakukan wawancara, mengumpulkan data, mengklasifikasi data, dan menganalisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai moral agama tokoh utama baik dengan persentase 9,3%, begitupula dengan nilai moral kepribadian dengan persentase 9,0%, dan nilai moral sosialnya dengan persentase 9,6%. Nilai moral tokoh utama dapat menjadi teladan dan pelajaran bagi mahasiswa sehingga dapat membentuk karakter yang kuat dalam nilai moral beragama, nilai moral kepribadian, dan nilai moral sosial.Kata Kunci: resepsi sastra, novel, pembaca, nilai moral
