Abstract

Penelitian tracer study ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran lama masa tunggu alumni sampai mendapatkan pekerjaan, mendeskripsikan penilaian alumni mengenai penyelenggaraan dan mutu layanan program yang ada di Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika FT UNY dan mendeskripsikan penilaian pengguna alumni terhadap kompetensi lulusan Pendidikan Teknik Informatika FT UNY. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif (qualitative research) melalui pendekatan survei mencakup tiga tahapan: 1) pengembangan konsep dan instrumen; 2) pengumpulan data; dan 3) analisa data dan pelaporan. Metode sampling dengan cara random, dengan proporsi 30% secara proporsional sesuai dengan jumlah lulusan. Jenis data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang diperoleh langsung dari alumni dan pengguna alumni melalui kuesioner yang terstruktur. Penyebaran kuesioner dilakukan secara online melalui Google docs dan penyebaran secara langsung kepada alumni atau pengguna alumni yang diketahui dengan jelas keberadaannya. Pengumpulan data lapangan dimulai pada Mei 2015 hingga Agustus 2015.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan sebagian besar alumni Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika mendapatkan pekerjaan dengan masa tunggu kurang dari 6 bulan yaitu sebanyak 88%, sementara lainnya membutuhkan waktu selama lebih dari 18 bulan sebanyak 7%, rentang 6 - 12 bulan sebanyak 3%, dan rentang 13 - 18 bulan sebanyak 2%. Mengenai penyelenggaraan dan mutu layanan, alumni memberikan penilaian baik dari persepsi semua aspek, namun dibutuhkan peningkatan dari segi SDM maupun fasilitas sarana dan prasarana. Pengguna alumni menilai bahwa kompetensi lulusan Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Informatika dari segi aspek integritas, profesionalisme, penggunaan TI, komunikasi, kerjasama tim, dan pengembangan diri sangat baik, namun masih kurang dalam penggunaan bahasa, khususnya bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Static CCTV facilities in class need to be optimized in classroom learning, especially in recording learning activities as implementation of learning in the 21st century and strategic steps to face the Industrial Revolution 4.0. Educators need to play a role in utilizing CCTV in learning. This article presents the development of YouTube Integrated Video Moving Surveillance devices using Raspberry Pi 3. The development stages consist of analysis, design, development and evaluation. The analysis shows that: (1) the limitations of CCTV motion are followed up with the addition of motorcycles; (2) limited access to video recording data is followed up by sending in real time using YouTube; and (3) controlling the system performance of the device using Raspberry Pi 3 model B. The evaluation results show that all electronic measurement parameters are in accordance with the success target and the functional test shows that the device can function to record classroom learning activities that can be monitored in real time via YouTube with good quality (average delay is 22,89s). The results of the development of this device are expected to be an alternative use of technology in learning, especially in the supervision and assessment of student learning activities.

Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-module as a medium of learning for the practice course of Measuring Instruments and Measurement in the Department of Electronics Engineering Education of Yogyakarta State University and to determine the feasibility of the e-module. This study employed a method of research and development. The development process was conducted through four phases by using the model of Lee and Owens which consisted of analysis phase, design phase, developing and implementation phase, as well as evaluation phase.The evaluation was conducted in several stages. Firstly, an alpha test for product validation was conducted by the experts on material and media. After that, a beta test was conducted by testing the product in small group users. The subjects of this study were the students of Electronics Engineering. The instruments used to collect the data were a validation sheet and questionnaires. The results of qualitative data were then modified into quantitative data with a range of 1 to 5, then they were converted with a rating scale to determine the feasibility of the medium. The results showed that based on the alpha test, the medium was in a very high quality. Meanwhile, in the beta test of the instructional aspect, in terms of material and evaluation and the multimedia aspect the e-module was respectively considered feasible and quite feasible. The four indicators namely text, image, animation and video were all generally considered feasible. In terms of usage aspect, the e-module was considered feasible where its two indicators, namely instructions and navigation, were generally regarded as very feasible by all respondents.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the procedures for developing an Internet of Things (IoT)-based Automatic Security System as a security device for museum objects and to test its feasibility based on user feedback in museums. The Design Thinking model used consists of five stages: Empathize (understanding the user's perspective), Define (gathering information on the encountered problems), Ideate (generating innovative ideas), Prototype (creating a prototype of the obtained ideas, ensuring the functionality of each device feature, and validating the product through expert judgment for feedback and product revision), and Testing (evaluating the system's feasibility using Usability standards based on ISO/IEC 9241-11, focusing on Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Satisfaction with user involvement). The research results indicate that the IoT-based Automatic Security System has met optimal outcomes based on Usability aspects, namely: the Effectiveness analysis showed a ratio above 100% with a Very Effective level of achievement; the Efficiency aspect analysis received user feedback with a device usage rate of 1.35 goals per second; and the Satisfaction analysis, using the System Usability Scale (SUS) questionnaire, scored 78.25, indicating an Excellent level, suggesting that the system is worthy of use.

Abstract

The large number of graduates who lack the skills needed for the workplace makes it difficult for them to find employment. This study aims to analyze the influence of teachers, technology, and social capital in preparing vocational school graduates for their first jobs. Participants came from five districts in Yogyakarta, including state and private VHS with engineering expertise, including 25 teachers and 99 students. The research steps involve conducting literature reviews, focus group discussions, and data collection via questionnaires. The results show that: (1) the stability of choosing a career that is in line with their education for graduates who study further is better than graduates who work or are entrepreneurs; (2) the measurement model showed valid and reliable results: outer loading (0.702 -0.967), AVE ³ 0.5, Cronbach's alpha ³ 0.7, Fornell-Larcker criterion, and HTMT ratio. The structural model using the SRMR is 0.078 (good fit); (3) With p-value 0.000 (sig < 0.05), there is direct significant influence between TCR -> TGR (f2 0.897), TCR -> SCR (f2 0.638) with large effect, and TCR -> STWT (f2 0.310), TGR -> STWT (f2 0.189), SCR -> STWT (f2 0.267) with medium effect and the indirect influence (TCR -> STWT), which is mediated by TGR and SCR. The role of the teacher (TCR) has a significant impact on optimizing the role of technology (TGR) and social capital (SCR) in the STWT effectivity. The role of teachers, technology, and social capital all have significant and medium effects on the STWT smoothness. This is in line with the concept of Industry 5.0, specifically integration. Education in the Industry 5.0 era is dependent not just on the contributors' roles but also on integration.

Abstract

Pendidikan kejuruan menyiapkan lulusannya menjadi individu yang siap bekerja dan siap melanjukan studi. Lulusan SMK masih mengalami kebingungan menentukan karirnya. Layanan bimbingan karir di SMK kurang berpengaruh dalam menentukan karir lulusannya. Guru belum mengintegrasikan variabel okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK pada pembelajaran. Tiap mata pelajaran memiliki karakteristik yang berbeda apabila dikaitkan dengan peluang okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK. Berbagai model pembelajaran dapat memberikan variasi tahapan pembelajaran dalam pengintegrasian variabel okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK. Melalui “Pelatihan Implementasi Wawasan Okupasi, Karir, dan Profesi Lulusan SMK Melalui Pembelajaran”, diharapkan peserta mampu: (1) mendapatkan pemahaman mengenai urgensi pengintegrasian okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK pada pembelajaran; (2) menyusun perencanaan pembelajaran yang terintegrasi dengan okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK; dan (3) evaluasi pelaksanaan integrasi okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK pada pembelajaran. Pelatihan terdiri atas beberapa tahapan, yaitu: (1) pra pelatihan: penjaringan informasi mengenai pemahaman dan penerapan okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK pada pembelajaran; (2) pelatihan: Workshop dan FGD, Seminar Proposal Peserta, Penelitian, Seminar Hasil Peserta; dan (3) paska pelatihan: konsultasi publikasi ilmiah peserta. Hasil yang diharapkan dari pelatihan ini adalah guru mendapatkan pengalaman dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran yang mengintegrasikan okupasi, karir, dan profesi lulusan SMK dan pengalaman meneliti.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a work, career, and profession guidebook for Vocational High School students that can be used by teachers as a guide in integrating career guidance into the learning process. The background of the development is based on the challenges faced by teachers in directing students according to their interests and talents, as well as the gap in information about skill needs in the world of work. This study is a research and development (R&D) using the Borg and Gall model and involves teachers and students from the Electronic Engineering expertise program at First State Vocational High School of Yogyakarta . The guidebook was developed through a series of design stages, expert validation, content evaluation, and limited field trials. The feasibility test showed that the guidebook was very feasible to use with a total score of 99.7 (very good category). In addition to teachers, students were also involved in assessing the implementation of the book through their perceptions of how teachers applied the contents of the guide in learning. The results of the trial showed that students gave high appreciation to the implementation of the guide, and teachers considered the guide easy to use and relevant to students' learning and career development needs. In addition to being based on the real needs of classroom learning, the development of this book also accommodates input from the Business World and Industry and alumni to strengthen the relevance of the contents of the guidelines to the demands of the job market. This guidebook is flexible and can be adapted for all expertise programs in vocational schools. This study concludes that the guidebook can be an effective and contextual learning tool in supporting students in determining career directions in a more structured and sustainable manner.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to increase the activity and motivation of students in class X TKJ B SMK Negeri 1 Pundong through the application of game-based learning in the subject of Fundamentals of Computer Network Engineering and Telecommunication. The type of research carried out is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation of actions, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study are 36 students in class X TKJ B SMK Negeri 1 Pundong for the 2023/2024 academic year. The analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis.The results of this study show that the application of game-based learning carried out using the Quizizz and Kahoot! can increase learning activity and cannot increase the learning motivation of students in class X TKJ B SMK Negeri 1 Pundong in the subject of Fundamentals of Computer Network Engineering and Telecommunications. This can be seen from the increase in the average percentage of learning activity from the first cycle by 45%, in the second cycle it increased to 69%. The average percentage of learning motivation in cycle I learning motivation in cycle I was 79%, in cycle II it was 79%. Abstract

Evaluasi pelaksanaan teaching factory SMK di Surakarta bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana proses pelaksanaan teaching factory SMK di Surakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan evaluasi model formatif-sumatif oleh Scriven yang menekankan pada evaluasi formatif. Populasi penelitian adalah semua SMK di Surakarta yang menjalankan teaching factory berjumlah 9 sekolah dan respondennya adalah 81 guru pengampu kompetensi keahlian yang menjalankan teaching factory di sekolah tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan teaching factory SMK di Surakarta ditinjau dari kegiatan pembelajaran dinyatakan sangat baik (17,28%) oleh 14 guru, baik (39,51%) oleh 32 guru, tidak baik (25,93%) oleh 21 guru, dan sangat tidak baik (17,28%) oleh 14 guru. Sedangkan hasil pelaksanaan teaching factory SMK di Surakarta ditinjau dari proses produksi dinyatakan sangat baik (14,81%) oleh 12 guru, baik (27,16%) oleh 22 guru, tidak baik (44,44%) oleh 36 guru, dan sangat tidak baik (13,58%) oleh 11 guru. AN EVALUATION OF SMK TEACHING FACTORY IN SURAKARTAAn evaluation of the teaching factory implementation in vocational high schools (VHSs) in Surakarta aims to find out he teaching factory implementation process in VHSs in Surakarta. This was a descriptive study with the formative-sumative evaluation model by Scriven emphasizing on the formative evaluation. The population comprised all 9 VHSs in Surakarta carrying out the teaching factory. The respondents were 81 teachers involved in the teaching factory. The results of the evaluation show that the teaching factory in VHSs in Surakarta for the learning activity component is very good (17.28%, 14 respondents), good (39.51%, 32 respondents), poor (25.93%, 21 respondents), and very poor (17.28%, 14 respondents), and for the production proccess component it is very good (14.81%, 12 respondents), good (27.16%, 22 respondents), poor (44.44%, 36 respondents), and very poor (13.58%, 11 respondents).
