Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to produce an assessment instrument based on Higher-Order Thinking Skills for elementary school students. The assessment instrument was made in the form of a cognitive ability test for elementary school students of the sixth grade in Science subject at Elementary School. This research used research and development methods. The research design used is the Borg and Gall development model. The stages of development research include 1) Research and Information Gathering, 2) Planning, 3) Initial Product Development, 4) Initial Field Testing, 5) Main Product Revision, 6) Main Field Testing, 7) Operational Products Revision. The instruments used were interviews, product quality assessment sheets and questionnaires. The results of this research are a collection of valid, practical, and reliable HOTS-based assessment instruments. From the expert review results obtained an average assessment results percentage from the experts’ validation of 93.57 with the category of very feasible. HOTS-based assessment instruments can be used in learning in the elementary schools.Keywords: Assessment, HOTS, Elementary School

Abstract

Abstract: This study was at describing the application of PAKEM approach to improve students' language skills of  the primary schools  partner  PGSD FKIP Sriwijaya University by using classrrom action research method. This was a collaborative study with four students of PGSD FKIP Sriwijaya University in last  task completion . Data were collected with tests and non-test instruments. The results showed that an increase in mastery learning students . In Listening skill of students in Cycle I gained mastery learning increased by 31.81 % , 62.50 % obtained in Cycle II , and Silklus 87.50 % . Speaking skill of students in Cycle I gained mastery learning by 43.48 % , 73.91 % obtained in Cycle II Cycle III was 91.30 % . Reading skills of students in Cycle I gained mastery learning by 52.10 % , amounting to 78.26 % in Cycle II and III silus of 91.30 % . Writing skills of students in Cycle I gained mastery learning of 30.43 % ( Cycle I , 67.21 % ( Cycle II ) , and 89.40 % ( Cycle III ) . Based on this observation , it is also an increase in student learning activities , ie on I obtained the student activity cycle with an average 56.79 , 68.30 for cycle II and cycle III acquired 81.99 . Based on the results obtained it can be concluded that the approach can improve language skills AJEL Indonesian students in Class V school PGSD partners FKIP Sriwijaya University . Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan pendekatan PAKEM untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa siswa sekolah mitra PGSD FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya dengan menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas. Penelitian ini merupakan kolaboratif dengan empat orang mahasiswa PGSD FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya dalam penyelesaian tugas ahkir mereka. Data dikumpulkan dengan intrumen tes dan non tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan ketuntasan belajar siswa. Keterampilan meninyimak siswa pada Siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar meningkat 31,81%, Siklus II diperoleh 62,50%, dan Silklus 87,50%. Keterampilan berbicara siswa pada Siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar 43,48%, Siklus II diperoleh 73,91%, Siklus III sebesar 91,30%. Keterampilan membaca siswa pada Siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar 52,10%, Siklus II sebesar 78,26% dan Silus III sebesar 91,30%. Keterampilan menulis siswa pada Siklus I diperoleh ketuntasan belajar sebesar 30,43% (Siklus I, 67,21% (Siklus II), dan 89,40% (Siklus III). Berdasarkan hasil observasi, juga terjadi peningkatan aktivitas belajar siswa, yaitu pada Siklus I diperolah aktivitas siswa dengan rata-rata 56,79, Siklus II sebesar 68,30, dan Siklus III diperoleh 81,99. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menerapkan pendekatan PAKEM dapat meningkatkan keterampilan berbahasa Indonesia Siswa Kelas V di sekolah mitra PGSD FKIP Universitas Sriwijaya.   Kata Kunci: pendekatan PAKEM, keterampilan berbahasa , sekolah mitra Â
