Abstract

The aim of this research is to know potention of the egg shells mill in ration toweard eggs production and Quality of the layer chiken. This research was conducted in August 2020 at Apitaik West Lombok, laboratory of Animal nutrition Animal Husbandri Mataram Univercity and laboratory of BPTP East Nusa Tenggara. 75 of layer chiken devide into 5 treatment was PI (0%  egg shells +50% yellow corn +16% rise bren and 36% KLKS consentrat), P1I (5% eggs shells +50% yellow corn +16% rise bren and 36% KLKS consentrat), P1II (7% eggs shells +50% yellow corn, 36% KLKS consentrat) +16% rise bren), 5 replicetes and each replicates use 5 layer chiken and all of treatment give iso protein and iso energy ration. The parameter in this reaserch was eggs production, feed comsumtion, feed convertion, eggs weight and eggs quality. The result of this research were analysis by varians analysis above completely randomized design (CRD). The result showed that eggs producktion, eggs weight, feed cosumtion and feed convertion non significant effect (P>0.05), but was significant effect (P<0.05) on weight and thick of eggs shell It was concluded that giving egg shells to a level of 7.5% in the feed had enough potential to increase egg production and quality of laying hens with relatively good feed efficiency.

Abstract

ABSTRACTThis study aims to determine the level of productivity of broilers in the partnership farm system in relation to the quality of feed  provided by partner companies. The research was conducted in 2 (two) stages; Phase I. Survey of  feeding system in partnership system of broiler farming in West Lombok. The parameters observed included: type of feed offered, the amount provided and frequency of feeding, harvest weight, and FCR. Phase II. Evaluation of the chemical composition of the diet used in partnership broiler farming system. The parameters observed included: the moisture, ash, protein, fat and  fiber. The data obtained were tabulated and discussed descriptively. Based on the survey results, there are 8 partnership companies, namely PT. MSJ, PT. BBB, PT. Samsung, PT. DMC, PT. BSS, PT. FMS, PT. KUS  and PT. PAL, and 6 types of feed used, namely S12, GM-PS, GM 1 EJ, Malindo, Wonokoyo, HD BR1 161. Average feed consumption is 3.24 kg / head / period, with weight gain of 2.10 kg / head / period, with the  FCR value of 1.54. Based on the results of the evaluation of the nutritional content, there is a mismatch, especially the  protein content which is lower (0.01%) as shown in the leaflet of the starter feed from Wonokoyo company. The conclusion of this study is that in general, the complete feed quality used is  in accordance with the SNI based feed quality standards and the broiler productivity produced on partner farms meets the company standards. Nutritional; Complete Feed; Consumption; Weight Gain; Feed Conversion

Abstract

An earthquake that occurred from the end of July to the end of August 2018 in the province of NTB has detroyed not only residential buildings, offices, schools, religious buildings, but also livestock houses, especially the houses and cages. Almost all districts in the NTB province was affected by the earthquake and the worst affected districts were North Lombok and East Lombok. The Norty Lombok Regency is currently experiencing total paralysis both in the fields of education, government and economics and tourism. One business that requires rapid handling in the field of animal husbandry is for egg production. There are 26 poultry farmers who are members of the "Telur Jaya" breeders group supplying eggs for the community and visitors in North Lombok district. Because of the earthquake, this group was unable to produce eggs to meet the needs of the people of in North Lombok district due to destroyed housing conditions, many chickens died, and chickens which were survive received improper management and attention. The initial step taken was to recover laying hens housing and managemnt. Cage capacity for 26 breeders ranges from 250 to 2200 birds were repaired using cage materials that can still be used and new materials to replace damaged materials. Mentoring activities continue to be carried out so that poultry farmers can run their businesses so they can supply egg needs in North Lombok Regency.

Abstract

Truwai village, Pujut subdistrict, Central Lombok, is a village that has been designated by government of West Nusa Tenggara provincy as Poultry Village in December 2014.  Truwai village has a strategic geographical position because it is close to the superior tourism area of Kuta and the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (KEK Mandalika).  Based on the potential of the Truwai village, the Truwai village government has a program to increase the efforts to raise domestic poultry and promote the processing of domestic poultry to produce a superior commodity from Truwai that can be used as a souvenir for tourists.  The assistance activities for poultry farming and chicken meat processing training in the Truwai village community aim to increase knowledge and skills in developing the business.  The assistance and training activities were carried out for 5 days in the form of discussions and training in making shredded meat, Truwai grilled chicken, chicken satay and sausage and nuggets.  The result of the activity showed the high enthusiasm of the community in following and processing chicken meat from the beginning to the packaging.  The community expects this assistance activities to continue to be skilled and able to market their products independently

Abstract

This dedication activity was based on requests from the management of the Ar-Rusydiny Segaet Islamic boarding school and the people of Wakan village, Jerowaru sub-district, East Lombok regency to get guidance on poultry raising and processing of poultry manure waste, which is one of the activities in the boarding school. The activity involved the community and students of Islamic boarding schools in the village of Wakan. Activities include counseling on poultry farming and poultry farm waste processing in the form of hongkong caterpillar cultivation using poultry droppings. The method used is a participatory method, counseling, and waste treatment practices with various alternative treatment processes. The target to be achieved from this activity is the community and boarding school students motivated to conduct poultry farming and poultry farm waste processing business, and make it one of the leading programs in boarding schools. Based on the results of the community service activities, various problems were found, namely the ignorance of the community in processing poultry, cow, and goat manure waste which is often complained of by the community. The Wakan village community and the management of the Ar-Rusydiny Segaet boarding school do not know how to handle livestock waste. Wakan villagers enthusiastically participated in counseling and practices of sewage treatment, as evidenced by the number of participants who took part, 37 people and during the active discussion session, as well as the emergence of community commitment to process waste into useful products.

Abstract

This activity is based on potensial of Tete Batu Village as agricultural area so that the availability of agricultural waste is abundant and so far it has not been used optimally as animal feed.  Community service activities are carried out by providing materials on the technology of processing agricultural waste using various fermenters and local feed ingredients that can be used as alternative feed ingredients, then continuing the practice of processing livestock waste into liquid organic ferlizer and processing agricultural waste into silage.  The service activity was attended by the Lombok Regional Government which involved in fostering livestock, head and management of Tete Batu, the livestock farming community, alumni and student, avarage 40 people. The community service activities have succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of breeders in processing livestock waste into liquid organic ferlizer which can be used to increase the fertility of agricultural plants and become products that can be sold so as to increase the income of the livestock farming community. Community service activities have resulted in good commitment from the livestock farming community, village administrators and related local government agencies to assist livestock farming communities in processing agricultural and livestock waste into useful products.

Abstract

The productivity of laying hens in North Lombok Regency has not yet reached its maximum.  Egg production has not been able to supply the needs of the people, hotels and restaurans in North Lombok Regency.  Assistance activities from various parties are needed in order to improve the business of laying hens through the share of science, technology, and training in livestock.  The community service activity was initiated by a speech from the head of the breeders group who revealed the various problems by breeders in improving their poultry farming business.  The next activity was the share knowledge of community service which include successful management of laying hens, techniques for preparing various feed formulas by utilizing and techmiques for improving the quality of alternative feeds.  The community service activity was attended by 35 breeders and the discussion was active.  The breeders who attended were farmers who are members of the ‘Gemas’ Layer Farmer Group Associantion, which has 23 members with a business capacity of 20.000 layer hens.  The farmer group is eager to increase egg production in order the needs of hotels, restaurants, people in North Lombok Regency.  Through the use of alternative feeds by arranging variouse feed formulas according to the needs of liverstock is a solution that can be applied to increase the quantity and quality of eggs. complete feed; alternative feed; quantity; quality; egg

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pakan-pakan komplit dan konsentrat unggas yangdiperdagangkan di Kota Mataram serta kualitasnya berdasarkan kandungan nutriennya. Penelitiandilakukan dalam 2 (dua) tahapan; Tahap I. Inventarisasi jenis-jenis pakan komplit dan konsentratyang diperdagangkan di Kota Mataram dengan mendata jenis-jenis pakan komplit dan konsentratyang ada di poultry shop, selanjutnya diambil sampel pakan yang dijual untuk dilakukan evaluasikualitasnya di Tahap II. Tahap II. Evaluasi kualitas, dengan menganalisis kandungan makro nutrienpakan-pakan tersebut. Parameter yang diamati adalah jenis-jenis dan kandungan makro nutrienpakan. Data yang diperoleh ditabulasi dan dilakukan perbandingan kandungan protein yang terteradi leaflet dengan hasil analisis di laboratorium selanjutnya dilakukan pembahasan secara deskriptif.Berdasarkan hasil survei pada 7 poultry shop di Kota Mataram terdapat 49 jenis pakan komplit dan17 jenis konsentrat. Informasi kandungan makro nutrien yang tertera pada leaflet didapatkan hanyapada 13 jenis pakan komplit dan 5 jenis pakan konsentrat. Berdasarkan hasil analisis umumnyaterjadi sedikit penurunan kandungan air, abu dan lemak, serta protein kasar, sedangkan terjadikecenderungan peningkatan kadar serat kasar, namun keseluruhan kualitas pakan yangdiperdagangkan masih dalam kualitas yang baik dan masih sesuai standar mutu pakan unggas.Kata Kunci : Konsentrat, Makro nutrien, Pakan komplit, Unggas

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh media tumbuh yang berasal dari pakan berbeda yang ditambahkan ampas tahu terhadap pertumbuhan dan produksi larva dan survival rate dari pupa. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 perlakuan 9 ulangan dan masing-masing ditumbuhkan larva sebanyak 100 g (umur 45 hari). Adapun perlakuan yang diterapkan adalah perlakuan A= dedak padi 500 g + ampas tahu 800 g; perlakuan B= jagung giling halus 500 g + ampas tahu 800 g; perlakuan C= pakan komplit 500 g + ampas tahu 800 g. Variabel yang diamati yaitu konsumsi pakan, panjang badan, pertambahan bobot badan (PBB), konversi pakan, dan survival rate. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa konsumsi pakan, panjang badan, pertambahan bobot badan secara statistik berbeda secara nyata (P<0,05) dengan perlakuan C memiliki nilai tertinggi dibandingkan perlakuan lainnya. Konversi pakan berbeda secara nyata (P<0,05) dengan perlakuan A memiliki nilai konversi terendah. Survival rate secara statistik berbeda secara nyata (P<0,05) dengan bahwa perlakuan B memiliki nilai tertinggi. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa penggunaan media pakan komplit + ampas tahu adalah yang terbaik untuk pertumbuhan dan perkembangan larva. Kata kunci: Pertumbuhan, Survival Rate, Larva, Tenebrio Molitor, Media Pakan This study aims was to determine the effect of growing media derived from different feeds added to tofu waste on growth and larval production and the survival rate of pupae. The study used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 3 treatments 9 replications and each of them grew as many as 100 g (age 45 days). The treatment conducted treatment A (rice bran 500 g + tofu waste 800 g); treatment B (fine corn 500 g + tofu waste 800 g); and treatment C ( complete feed 500 g + tofu waste 800 g). The variables observed were, feed consumption, body length, body weight gain, feed conversion, and survival rate. The variables observed were, feed consumption, body length, body weight gain, feed conversion, and survival rate. The results of this study was showed that feed consumption, body length, body weight gain were statistically significantly different (P <0.05) with treatment C had the highest value compared to other treatments. Feed conversion was significantly different (P <0.05) with treatment A had the lowest conversion value. The survival rate was statistically significantly different (P <0.05) with that treatment B had the highest value. Abstract

Service activities aim to provide training and skills in processing duck feed and products. This activity is based on the potential of Loyok Village as a village located on the Mount Siu-Kotaraja tourism and the Tetebatu route tourist location which has been visited by many local and foreign tourists, so the village administrator hopes that Loyok Village can be more advanced to support tourism programs by having superior products of duck meat and eggs. Service activities are carried out through providing training on feed processing and making salted eggs. Salted eggs will be the flagship product of Loyok Village to be used as souvenirs for tourists. The target audience of this service activity is a group of women livestock farmers in Loyok Village. It is hoped that from this activity the community will be motivated and moved to develop livestock business so that it becomes the main livelihood and village administrators and village community leaders will support by making one of the village’s flagship programs supporting the tourism village program. The service activity was attended by the village head and his staff and 20woman farmers. Participants participated in the salted egg making training with enthusiasm, revealing the various problems faced in making salted eggs that had been carried out so far. Through this activity, participants get solutions to the problems they have faced so far.
