Abstract

Purpose: The food and beverage sector, which contributes significantly to plastic waste in Indonesia, may reduce its usage of single-use plastics by using green process innovation (GPI). By incorporating economic and environmental goals into the strategic management of supply chain operations, Green Supply Chain Management (GSCM) can propel this. This study aims to evaluate the role of GPI and GSCM in achieving sustainable corporate performance (SP) in Indonesia, especially in the food and beverage industry. Method: Purposive sampling was used to select samples from the food and beverage industry during the 2021-2023 period which resulted in 12 companies as samples. Path analysis was used as a data analysis method in this study. After that, Warp-PLS 8.0 software was used to process the data obtained. Result: The results showed that GPI has a positive and significant influence on SP, and GPI has a positive and considerable influence on GSCM. Meanwhile, GSCM does not influence SP, and GSCM cannot mediate the influence between GPI and SP.

Abstract

Islamic universities in Indonesia face challenges in sustaining operations and improving service quality. One approach to addressing these challenges is to establish business units within the universities, which can generate additional revenue and improve service delivery. To this end, some new Islamic state universities establishing business units as part of their efforts to change institutional status to a Public Service Agency (BLU). This study assess whether a sharia dormitory business unit can support  the sustainability of an Islamic state university by analyzing market potential, financial feasibility, and compliance with maqashid sharia. The study draws on a survey of 200 respondents to assess the market demand for the business unit and conducts a feasibility analysis based on Net Present Value (NPV), Pay Back Period (PP), and maqashid sharia aspects. The paper argues that the sharia dormitory business units can contribute to Islamic state universities sustainability by generating additional revenue, enhancing the quality of service to students, and aligning with maqashid sharia principles.

Abstract

Knowledge of financial institutions, especially regarding how to use financial institutions services, knowledge about the importance of making short and long-term financial savings, and how to manage expenditures are some of the aspects expected by the community through financial education programs by disseminating information about financial services institutions. This study seeks to find a correlation (relationship) in the implementation of education from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) with the financial behavior of the people in Bajuin District, Tanah Laut Regency. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and field observations with purposive sampling method and the number of respondents as many as 50 people spread across six villages. Data analysis techniques used the Pearson correlation method. The results showed that the implementation of education from the Financial Services Authority (OJK) had a positive correlation (amounting to 0.401) with the financial behavior of the people in the Bajuin District. However, the correlation is classified as weak.   Pengetahuan akan lembaga keuangan, khususnya mengenai bagaimana memanfaatkan jasa lembaga keuangan, pengetahuan mengenai pentingnya membuat simpanan keuangan jangka pendek dan jangka panjang, serta bagaimana mengelola pengeluaran merupakan beberapa aspek yang diharapkan akan dimiliki oleh masyarakat melalui program edukasi keuangan dengan cara sosialisasi mengenai lembaga jasa keuangan. Penelitian ini berusaha untuk mencari korelasi (hubungan) pelaksanaan edukasi dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) dengan perilaku keuangan masyarakat di Kecamatan Bajuin, Kabupaten Tanah Laut. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan observasi lapangan dengan metode purposive sampling serta jumlah responden sebanyak 50 orang yang tersebar di enam desa. Teknik analisa data menggunakan metode korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan edukasi dari Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) mempunyai korelasi yang positif (sebesar 0,401) dengan perilaku keuangan masyarakat di Kecamatan Bajuin. Namun, korelasinya tergolong lemah.
